- Welcome to Ritch & SJ,
This week I ‘m making a Craftsman style clock for a birthday present. I'll be repurposing leftover oak from our home rennovation and reusing a clock mechanism from an unwanted gift.
Can we call this one upcycling? We think so, as we are giving the oak a new purpose as it was originally cut as a door lining and skirting!
I'll also be making a decorative panel from stained glass, so if you're a bit squeamish you many need to look away for that bit as there's a bit of blood on show!
I can't take the credit for the clock design as I purchased plans for this project from woodsmithplans.com, I just changed it in a few places.
If you can stick around until the end of the video you'll be able to see my Mum as she opens her gift.
I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making the clock, thanks for watching and we'll catch you in the next one!
Bye for now,
Ritch
Great craftsmanship. You have special skills to craft that tile at the bottom. I enjoyed the video.
Thank you, appreciate the kind words
That was a truly awesome build. The final reveal speaks for itself. wonderful job, sir!
Thanks for your kind words. A project that I really loved doing, could take me down a rabbit hole I think!
