The more and more I see of Floor I'm even more convinced that she is a once in a lifetime performer.
Absolutely. We are absolutely blessed to be able to witness this talent in our lives. Only other person I can think of that can compare to her in terms of vocal ability, performance, charisma, and sheer versatility is Freddie Mercury. If only Freddy had lived long enough to meet Floor, imagine what those two could have done together.
I have to agree. Even the vocal coaches have a fair bit of difficulty with maintaining a professional detachment.
Floor Jansen is a Valkyrie sent by Odin to Midgard collect the souls of the fallen, but once here she figured that the best way to collect our souls was to make us all fall for her.

I agree. The quality difference between the original ua-cam.com/video/bcnWysA9gxo/v-deo.html and Floor's version wasn't as great as with the Oblivion 83 but even with this the Floor version is clearly better.
If Floor ever represent Finland, Sweden or Netherlands in Eurovision song contents, it'll be an instant win.
If they send Floor to the Eurovision song festival next year, all other contenders, after hearing this, will stay home. Nobody can beat the Valkyrie Godess
the Eurovision song contest has been an inferior (political friends) circus for years. they wouldn't recognize our queen's talent yet.

@@mkgym and despite all of that, as we as the Netherlands do not involve ourselves in that political voting game, we almost came no. 1 with The Common Linnets and won with Duncan Laurance. If you send a good song and a good performer then at one point you will have a good result. Most of the Dutch competitors of the last few years (including this year's entry) have been working on their entry for quite a few years before they get asked (there is no national contest) to compete.

Tom this is the song that Swedish singer Loreen sang to win the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012. Beste Zangers is doing its Song Festival from their studio in Hilversum, Netherlands.
Floor's singing from her home studio on the farm in Sweden as she still is unable to fly post-surgery-- the woman is superhuman.

The reason she sings directly to your heart, i think, because she is an empath which make her bring over emotions on a different level.
I know we are all huge fans of her but lets be honest... few are as big a fan of Floor as Rolf Sanchez is.
He never ever can hide his excitement when she sings, always that big smile and always rocking out to her vocal power :D
This is actually one of the songs i really like but.... Floor she did it again, she turned it up to 11.
When you do Floor songs from the Dutch show Beste Zangers, please do them with your wife. My favorites: Vilja Lied, About Love I Don't Know a Thing and Phantom of the Opera. The concept is not a competition but singers coming together to celebrate each others' music.

From that show, I especially love Floor's contrast in presentation between About Love I Don't Know a Thing and Winner. She nails the styles and the sound of two different genres and two different decades (even though both songs are new).
The only thing that surprises me about Floor is that she didn't perform surgery on herself.

We're so lucky to live and share the same time window with Floor Jansen. Singer of this caliber is such a rare miracle. It is insane. I am soooo happy that I will be able to see her live later this year!

It's a cover from probably the best entry to Eurovision Song contest ever, orignal by Loreen from Sweden and she wiped the floor (pun Intended) with the competition when she won the competition with this song. Definitely worthwhile checking out the orignal too, Loreen is fabulous aswell.

Wow, no idea Floor had did another Beste Zangers song. Of course you know, we are waiting for the reaction to Phantom of the Opera she did on Beste Zangers.
It was a special themed episode that was broadcasted just two hours ago dedicated to the upcoming Eurovision Song festival. Floor was not able to join the recordings due to the surgery that she's had recently, so they solved it with a stream from Floor's own studio in Sweden.
@@treintje1001 It's not a live stream. Floor's part is clearly pre-recorded, as is the video (you can easily see that the shots are from at least two different takes if you look at the position of her cape). This doesn't make the performance worse, but just to mention - a live stream with band and singer in different places is not possible in that quality, as the latencies of the double transmission would make it appear out-of-sync.
Whatever Floor is doing for her recovery process, I hope she keeps it up. She looks incredible. She almost glows, there is such an aura about her. And her voice is as powerful as ever. Yet another cover of a song which she makes her own. Love your enthusiastic reaction, and you are spot on about it seeming like Floor sings directly to you. She has the ability to really connect with you in her performances, and her empathy is genuine.

Due to her surgery recovery Floor was unable to be present live at the show, so she recorded this. The song is by Loreen and it's the winner of Eurosong 2012, and as always Floor did an astonishing cover of it.
I'm so happy to see her like this, she looks so beautiful and sounds amazing, can't wait to see the NW virtual show the 28th May.
This is a cover. This is originally sung by Loreen. This is the song she won the Eurovision song contest with. Like me she's from Sweden so this feels extre fun to listen to.

Hey Tom, I really like your reactions. Back in Australia where I used to live there was a saying only a surfer knows the feeling. I can really apply that to Floor too. Only a Floor fan (no pun) knows the feeling. She is the most amazing voice out there. I´m sure there are many that could have bigger ranges etc. but Floor has a voice that is just perfect 10/10 on the beautiful and emotion evoking scale. She always gives me chills. And tears.. Amazing cover!

I hate putting singers on a pedestal, and sometimes it is hard not to, but she is on a whole other level compared to most other singers. Im not trying to disrespect other singers, because we should respect someones talent no matter what the genre is.
Sweet .... Will be at that Lowell show as well and yes she is stunning in all aspects. No singer has ever had the effect on me and my emotions the way Floor does.

Wow. This song is amazing. Of course she kills it. She slays anything she sings. If you already hadn’t I would recommend to follow her UA-cam page .. you will stay in the loop pretty good then. Also Nightwish will be doing a live virtual concert coming up soon. So that is what many of us Nightwish fans are looking forward to. Floor recently had to have surgery for kidney stones and is recovering from that and trying to rehearse for the concert. I’m sure she will slay it like a Valkyrie. I’m not sure when this song was recorded. If it was a recent recording after she had her surgery then it super impressive that she could perform like that. But anytime Floor drops a new song or cover we fans just swoop in and gobble it up ASAP. They are always amazing.

Floor is singing this song from her home studio, because she is just recovering from a gall bladder operation (Yes, sir!). Therefore she had to cancel her actual presence in the studio for this "Beste Zangers" Special for the Eurovision Songfestival. This big event (2 million spectators in over 40 countries !) is going to be held in two weeks time in The Netherlands (in Rotterdam), because Netherlands won the last contest in 2019 ("Arcade" by Duncan Laurence, worthwhile to check out as well). The song "Euphoria" won in 2012 (by Loreen from Sweden).
If you want to see more of Floor's versatility, go to the regular show of "Beste Zangers 2019" (= Dutch for best singers). It's a great TV show, where famous singers sing a special song for one of their colleagues. You will hear her sing in German, Dutch, English, Spanish, opera, rock, soft balads, she can really sing everything. Enjoy you Floorgasms !

With COVID restrictions she and her husband are actually staying with us, especially as this is a "safer" area, and only 3 minutes from a top hospital. She is heavily pregnant from twins, af few more weeks before they will arive on this world. :)

They programmed 2 shows, the 28th is on Europe evening, the 29th on a more convinient time for USA. You can also re-watch the show for 48 hours.
The only limitation for US people, if you buy the VIP ticket, they don't send the t-shirt outside the Europe. If I rightly understood, VIP ticket should also have a chat session with the new bass player, who will be announced just before the show.

Also worth noting is that the reason she did this performance remotely is because she just had gall bladder surgery with pancreatitis a couple weeks ago and is not yet cleared by her doctors to fly. Does this sound like a woman who just had major abdominal surgery? She is superhuman.

I must confess, I hate the eurovision song contest. In my eyes, this is a political farce. And I did not know the original knowingly (maybe I have already heard but forgotten. Because mainstream stuff) BUT: as soon as the name Floor Jansen and cover appears, all alarm bells ring with me! Good work. Keep it up.
Now you've checked out the last one. Maybe you should have a look to Floor's first one. After Forever "Monolith of Doubt" live in Kopspijkers 2002. Floor was 21 and her talent amazing. Btw After Forever was fantastic too and the reason why NW took Floor to replace Annett.
