Exciting week here at DD, finished up a 3-4 month collaboration with "Vintage Truck and 4x4" creating new front and rear leaf spring brackets and hangers specifically for lowboys (77.5-79). Just finished installing the first set of final products and they fit great! These are available now on Ebay in the links provided in the description above!
I've watched most of your videos and like your content. I see you taken the front cab mount brackets off. Is that a replacement piece? I have a 78 Bronco and need to replace mine.
Funny you ask, those parts are also available on the main page for Vintage Truck and 4x4 on ebay, and here is the link! www.ebay.com/itm/363713616433?itmmeta=01HRN8ZN9PSZ4ZNRJK9XB5A17D&hash=item54af055a31:g:EhAAAOSwPndlJBXe And thanks for watching as well its always appreciated!
@DentsideDepot they do fit. larger bolt up front. if double wrap spring lower spring needs cut down. and yes new 5.75" rear (in center) shackles are needed . inch for inch match to lowboy lift springs. slight shaving of bushings bushings.
Do you have a set of stock front springs for a low boy that are still in good shape mine are sacked out if not do you know where I might find some been looking had no luck so far thanks
Good channel. Hey question, got a 1974 AM General old mail truck. It's got that inline 6. I want to upgrade the carb from single barrel to atleast a double. Not sure where to even start. Any pointers? Thnx!
Hey thanks! Oh my, the ford 300? If so, awesome! If you go to my main channel page and search for my F100 build, I literally have an entire series on how to redo the 300! ua-cam.com/play/PL4vNRwrACR443hqztQjKXkJRDorUiBSi3.html

Would I need longer shackles if installing the super duty springs from early 2000’s?
This kit is designed for stock fitting springs. I do not believe super duty springs will fit...

What leaf springs are you using on that truck? What’s the weight capacity and lift?

They all have sagged out by now really. you can get them re-arched by a spring company or just replace them with a set of skyjackers

Can these be used on the 79 F150 4x4?
No, the F150s have a radius arm, so it is completely different.
Do you have a Super Cab F150?
Not at this time@@darinbrandvig560
@@darinbrandvig560they would use same hangers though.
@@oregonfordguy9812 Thanks for the info. I have never, personally, laid eyes on a leaf spring F150.
Unwelded kit optional?
You can hit up Vintage 4x4 through Ebay, if you prefer that I can't imagine it would be an issue. Thanks!
Give me leaf springs or Give me ... tricked ya more links more bushings eqauls more shit that wares out
