The training that Bolt did to get to the next level a lot of athletes can't manage it, and even when they can, Bolt just shows that he's totally different. Talent plus how your body develops plus the training you give it to facilitate its unique development.

Some junior world records are absolutely insane. I'm talking 19.49 in the 200m, 43.87 in the 400m, 1:41.73 in the 800m, 3:28.81 in the 1500m, 12:43.02 in the 5000m, 2.37m in the high jump, 6.05m in the pole vault, just to mention some. However in the 100m it's "only" 9.91. Not a bad time by any means, but it is rather modest compared to some of these other U20 WRs (just take a look at what gold medal, or medal performances in championships through the years looks like, and what these results equals in IAAF points, and you get what I mean.) And the U20 WR was 9.97 up until pretty recently when Tebogo ran 9.91 as a junior. In some events prodigies that dominate in their teens also go on to be the world's best as seniors, but that rarely seems to be the case for the 100m. I don't recall Bolt, Powell, Gay, Blake, Gatlin, Greene, Bailey, DeGrasse etc. dominate as juniors or winning U20 WC gols. And if we look a the U20 world record holders through the years we don't see many who reached the number 1 spot as a senior:
9.91 Letsile Tebogo (to early to tell really) (9.94 and 9.96 as a junior too, all in 2022)
    9.97 Trayvon Bromell (2014)
    10.01 Darrel Brown (2003)
    10.01 Jeff Demps (2008)
    10.01 Yoshihide Kiryu (2013)
10.05 Davidson Ezinwa (1990, no wind-measuring, so I'm not sure it was a legit record)
    10.06 Dwain Chambers (1997)
    10.06 Sunday Emmanuel (1997)
    10.08 Obadele Thompson (1994)
    10.09 Mel Lattany (1978)
    10.11 Harvey Glance (1976)
Same goes for the U18 records through the years:
    10.06 Christian Miller (2023)
    10.06 Puripol Boonson (2023) (10.09 in 2022)
    10.15 Anthony Schwartz (2017)
    10.19 Yoshihide Kiryu (2012)
    10.23 Tamunosiki Aturudibo (2002)
    10.24 Darrel Brown (2001)
    10.27 Henry Thomas (1984)
    10.35 Mark Pickens (1983)
    10.36 Sergey Poduzdov (1983)
    10.39 Carlton Young (1978)

Genuinely depends on how these athletes are "cycling" in their late teens and beyond. If you've got the inclination to do steroids and risk it all... or are anti drug abuse and go the honourable way in a supposedly natty competition . Everybody knows .... that's the way it goes .

And you have to run below 9.80/19.50 while doing it to make it count
