I didn't know before this video how much he'd struggled on the track before finding his "medium" of the marathon. Truly born to marathon! He looks like he is having so much fun when he runs, despite all the pressure that's on him.
I'll admit to being ignorant of this incredible athlete because I don't pay much attention to track (sorry!), but I will never forget it now! How on earth could he be involved with that poor young man's death?! Thank you for a superb video! 🙏 Edit: typo
The way people treated Kipchoge after Kiptum’s death is simply inexcusable. Even at a distance he seems like the nicest, incredibly humble man, he did not deserve the abuse he received from people for absolutely no reason. I hope he is able to retire on a race he is proud of.
The thing is reputation at the end of the day is everything. It can make or break you especially when you consider he's going to retire and still have to live at least another 3 decades after retirement.
Great video as always, though in the future I think it'd be nice if you had a list of all the music used. I recognized Dissonance from DE LORRA, but what's the synthwave song that starts playing for the sub 2 part of the video at 34:15? Thanks.
Does anyone know where this track is located at 32:19 ? That track must be amazing to run on, being immediately surrounded by trees and green foliage. The air there must be amazing to run in !! Wish I could be there!
Side not one ethiopan called Andamlak belihu ran the first 22 k with kipchoge at 2022 berlin marathon he covered his last 10k in like 34 minuetes 49:21
Bro was stacknating without super shoes He ran 2:05s2:04s at his best then in 2016 got super shoes and then he just went crazt time wise Gebresalassie was right saying he would have run sub 2 with Pro EVO’s (Kipchoge never ran sub 2:04 in non super shoes 2016 london he wore a prototype)
Missed opportunity to make this video 1 hour 59 minutes and 40 seconds
Yeah one day when we get the story of kejelcha it better be 57 mins 30
What a point 🥺🫡
@@DanielKendall2010running half is different than running full marathon. Kiptum could have done it
I can't believe I just got to watch this for free
you paid by watching ads
It’s always a great day when RunnerBoi uploads 💯
Flotrack crying rn
Off the charts production value! #goodforthesport
The way kipchoge accepted el guerouj's handshake after the 5k is so wholesome

Just amazing ! I'm so sad that he let the internet trolls get to him!
Sorry mate but what do you mean? Who did the trolls get to?
Cheers

Love binge watching these videos ❤
This video made me look kipchoge as the actual GOAT of distance running
I’m at 310 marathons life time. Only 1 win! Nothing like this Superman runner! What an amazing Man/Runner! The best ever!
That’s quite a feat on its own. Congrats to you as well sir!
@ Thank you 😊.
Terrific video, thank you!
4:20 Star Wars Music. 😀and he beats Hicham El Guerrouj. Legendary.
I thought that was awesome! Star Wars music, not him, beating the competitor. I have nothing against the competitor. 😁
I figure the prequels were releasing around this time
Wow!! What a terrific documentary on one of my favorite runners of all time!!
love the content!

He doesn’t even look tired, that’s insane
nice
18:09 wait did that pacer really cross the finish line first? Lol
Not a pacer my guess is someone finishing the half marathon or something like that and went to the wrong finish on the left instead of the right
almost by kiptum, too bad he was gone. he was young and fast. Eliut could break it if he was young
52:07 nooooo 😢😢😢😢
(Still -500 aura)
we eating good tonight
Why does he wear alphaflys in majors and time trialing and Vaporfly in olympics?
Rio and tokyo

His career was great
He should retire bro didn’t perform since 3 seasons or so
And he wasn’t deserving the spot in paris at all
