Never disappoint with your topics ladies 🥰 thank you ❤️
I have an 11 month old asked for 12 months off but decided to go back when she was 9 months old. I went back because she was in good routine plus I am working from home. Because I am not leaving the house is easier to be around her and still be working too. I am so thankful to my boss who allowed me to work from home. I still get to see her grow up and achieve milestone. To be honest though I don’t allow guilt to influence by decisions.
I started to pursue my career when my second child was 1year and 10 months. I was so happy and felt no guilt. After the first week my nerves were calm and haven’t worried at all. I was calm because my husband was the present parent whilst I was working. We took turns and equally shared responsibility which really made things easier. If you have partners don’t completely take all the responsibility and the guilt of parenting. Do your best and be happy you are being you.
Good topic ladies!
With my first i went back to work when she was 8 months old. This time with my second im a midwifery student and am returning to full time placement after 10 weeks!!!
The real reason why women generally don't rise higher in the workplace - men never feel 'guilty' or are 'frowned upon' for going straight back to work. Nothing to do with sexism and everything to do with reality.
