They were referred to as roaches on national TV. And what makes me more upset, no one came to their defense. Not even Daymond John stood up for them. They remained calm and respectful when they had every right to cuss folks out. I digress.

@@TruthofAce girl. You better tell them. Black women still out here lost as hell and a lot go against each other. They don’t realize that black men are men first not their race first. The BC only cares for them only and for black women to fight against racism and be big mamas to the world or to be down in society as stereotypes. We are not a monolith at all either.
They only want black women help when it’s to do the clean up work or to hold them down but it’s not reciprocated back at all.
Don’t go into any career expecting black males to have your back, it’s rare. Don’t seek their support or help or validation. I never truly did. It’s best to VET people based off their reciprocity, support, and understanding regardless of gender or color.
Not being loyal to your own because black women got themselves and must build a support system of people they can trust. We are women first and need to go where we are appreciated and accepted.
Their episode was when I stopped watching Shark Tank. I never even once watched it again because of the way they spoke to them. And I never bought another FUBU item of clothing because Daymond didn't protect the Black Queens.
I saw their pitch when it aired, and there have been many many pitches the sharks turned down that went on to become household names. They turned down The Ring guy and regretted it. So congratulations to these ladies for continuing on.
I saw that episode. I was shocked at how rude Kevin was to them. He called them roaches. I will never forget it. Because up until that episode, "Shark Tank" was one of my favorite shows. But after that comment I couldn't watch it anymore. I am so happy to see them become such a success. GOD is truly AWESOME!!!

I recall the Sharks (one in particular) being so harsh and disrespectful. I'm proud these women didn't give into the negative feedback. The Sharks could have potentially been the reason they let their dream die. The power of self-belief, determination and fierceness is to be reckoned with. There are dream killers who live amongst us. Never, Never allow anyone to kill your dreams or life vision.

I am in the process of starting a business & I have supplies & product EVERYWHERE - - it can be overwhelming...my house is filled to the point where space is extremely limited, but then, the orders come, the opportunities for displaying & selling my product happens. Been using their products for a year. I noticed a friends lip color lasted through dinner. I had to have it.
How dare they tell someone to give up and quit if they didn't want it, okay those are the breaks but to try and crush someone shame on them. Never ever listen to anyone that tells you to quit on anything. Show them your behind and go be great, just like these ladies did. Praise God!

Inspiring. I passed her brand in target a month ago and said I will be there next. I will buy something. I always stare at her brand, Rihanna fenty, and other women brands. I support women in general regardless of race but it’s special to me when a woman who looks like me conquer the world and other minority colored women. I had stopped watching shark tank and haven’t watched since 2018 tbh. I feel with the right resources or what not you can make it without huge investors like that.

Oh I love the Lip Bar. Bawse Lady is the perfect red for brown skin. Curlfriend is a beautiful rose especially if you edge it in the brown matte lipstick called Low Key and fade it out. So gorgeous. Or do the same with Man Eater which is a nude color and Low Key.
