If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.
Keep crushing. May your desires be greater than your obstacles.
Never quit,
Alex
FULL DISCLOSURE
I make content to make money - just - on a longer time horizon than most. I want to build trust with business owners so we can find the best ones and help them scale. And if they’re awesome, write them a check and go all the way as partners.
That bicep is a major distraction to the value of the content. 5th watch already.
Hahaha 100% great guy
Clearly he’s geared up
I watched this like 5 times. You gave the secret sauce. Do not pitch the program until the prospect understands that they have a problem and the problem is solvable for the CUSTOMER. You do that through questioning and story telling and THEY have to come up with the conclusions so they can hear the pitch. You understand their problem, meaning you can solve that problem. That was what I was missing.
this is the best thing i've ever heard so far, when it comes to sales
Ive watched hours of sales videos and this video in just 15 min explained it all and better. Thank you!
Glad it helped - appreciate the message
You sir keep pumping out value after value, thank you so much for doing this. This adds so much more perspective to things
So true ! Amazing quality
Indeed😮 incredible value! Get straight to the point
Literally techno babbled for 30 min with a prospect just now, she just told me i'll get back to you and vanished.
Actually caring about your prospect and believing in your product = S A L E S
Not as many sales as this process garners
That's not necessarily true, you can build rapport to make the sale without being emotionally involved or invested in the prospect. In fact if we're being honest that's like the majority of salesmen and I don't blame them because they need to make money too.
Alphabetical way to remember 3 things: no P, QRS: no product teaching, question, restate, story
I can’t believe we are getting all this info for free such a great value
What are you selling?
What in the UA-cam algorithm did I stumble upon with this guy? His content is priceless 💯💯
Can't believe this channel isn't more popular
Brand new. Appreciated.
Oh it will be 💯
@@RomanKozlov007 and it is
@@AlexHormozi lol, look at you now, congrats.
1M subscribers. Boom
How much does it cost for Alex to just come fix my sales process for a few hours
Awesome. Implementing in one hour on a call I have. Thx
Same lol
Monsta
im having trouble with this story concept. i dont know how to not be on the nose about what i do and how it will help.
In my mind I think you just tell stories about how your solution has helped other people through the same problems.
It’s amazing to find someone who clearly is talented in sales and in teaching. I feel like as an entrepreneur, understanding how to make a sale will be vital to my success and this video really points me in the right direction of how to make a sale!
He compress the big ideas in SELLING in just 3 important things, now that's amazing
This is just pure gold. Thank you.
Alex is a master at cutting through the bullshit
Better than Gold; THX!
Appreciate that man.
Insane value, thanks Alex!
Appreciated ty
I was taught 3 decades ago
Find out what they want, why they want it and ask them to pay for it...
👍⭐🙏
Super simple but effective I’ve used this framework since learning about it through Alex and noticed conversions have gone up
This 14 minutes short video itself is worth more than a gold brick, thank you, Alex! I've binge read your $100M Offer book, eager to get the Volume 2: Lead Generation
Great Video Alex, its (Dunn from the Back to the Basics Gym Days). This information is valuable, in my businesses as a Financial Advisor and Mortgage Loan Officer sometimes I tend to information dump, I forgot the need to find the pain, slow the process down and most importantly listen. Thank you for the reminder man!
What's up man! And - most appreciated 🙏🏻
Great atuff Alex. Thanks for the insight. I've been working hard on improve my sales skills and I've been doing this type of technique more recently and the difference in engagement on the calls is noticeably higher. Really great video thanks!
I have gone mad. Gone mad. SO MIND OPEN-ING.
Man , I just want to say for the past few months I have been confused on my purpose in life and what I need to do thanks for helping me find my way brother.
I have a few big sales tomorrow and im finally going out on my own. Gonna post this tonight and come back tomorrow
How did it go?
Anyone else notice how quickly Alex’s subscriber count is increasing?
1k every 2 days!
Come on this biceps are distracting 😅
Loved the video. Thanks Alex.
I do make the mistake of teaching a lot. Completely understood where I was going wrong
I think that was informative. I can't stop looking at the biceps though so I don't really know.
Wow, insane usefulness!
Thank you Rob
Thank you for all , I like your videos , you are my roll model , am am trying to start a new life from zero and you are inspiring me !
This is BY FAR the most valuable video I've ever watched on this platform concerning sales. Thank you very much for helping me opening my eyes and finally understanding how it's done. Keep up the good work. God bless you.
Great content in this video, really enjoyed it! Certainly given me something to think about.
Alex, i can't tell you how much I owe to this one video of yours. Thank you so soo sooo much! I actually made money after watching this vid.
This is eye opening. Thank you.
I really appreciate that Alex has had the time to compile and experience to apply the lessons and info I've heard, read, and learned (and mostly forgotten) from the marketing masters who dominated the business world decades ago. What works just works. As an entrepreneur he's also the ultimate student (and now teacher/coach) of marketing and sales know-how.
How does this relate to downselling? We downsell only when we know they are going to say yes?
Brother, youre the best on the net! Hands down!
Thanks alex
🙏🏻🙏🏻
I love you man. I can even use it in life conversation (not sales / business related).
I've watched this video multiple times and keep getting more out of it each time. Great information!
Hey Alex, can you please wear a sweater so I can focus on what ur saying and not your massive biceps😂
This is amazing. Quick Q: this'll be a little bit easier to do for inbound leads right? Coz they're already interested?
Man imagine the sales training this guy gives to his actual employees??
This is one of the best Sales videos I watched. I had to watch it multiple times to let that coach part sink in. lol. I was ALWAYS trying to teach. I thought I was providing them value. Now I know why my sales were so low. I know what to do now!!! Thanks Alex!
This video is incredible I feel like I finally understand how sales truly work thanks Alex
great stuff Alex. I look forward to watching the same videos of yours over and over to get better at the things u talk about
This is better than Cardone University. :-)
There is more value jam-packed into these 15 minutes than 4 years of school! - Thanks Alex!
Phenomenal information. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos, Alex.
Linking sales to proposing makes so much sense, thanks!
Bro this is irrelevant but I couldn’t stop looking at ur biceps😂😂
thanks for these valuable insights. I am learning..
This is awesome especially for b2b.
PS:The recommended video is empty.
This guy is so jacked! but great stuff man.
Exactly what I needed, but didn’t know it was already shared by you Alex, thanks again!
That costumer service person at baby gap closed you bro!
GOLD Thanks Alex, God Bless You
I wonder this strategy from 3 years ago still relevan 😂
People normally pay for this ahah, thank you Alex
Honestly this channel provides some of the most valuable information out there.
Great info, I’m a little intimidated by those biceps though 🥸
Great video “Getting To Yes” is a great book yall should read
Is “exquisitantly” an actual word?
So much value, I can't believe it!
This video shows why there is a replay button at the end of the videos. Awesome.
those short sleeves are fighting for their life
what steroids are you on
The "script" is what hurts me. I'm new in sales but using a script feels disingenuous and I can't incorportate it without tripping over myself
Scripts are a road map for you to know what to say and when to say it, what it matters a lot is how you say it! Role play as much as you ca tweak as much as you need to sound natural and you’ll make a lot of money
Bros bizeps bigger then the value he's giving
Alex has soooo improved his communication skills in 3 years. He is now so much sharper and concise. Bravo
I was legit thinking the same thing. Now when he speaks, there is no umms or aah.
Great progression of speaking skills
I definitely need to work on my sales skills
This video is awesome! Fair enough? 😎
Thank you Alex. This is what UA-cam for 🤙🤙
I wish we could go back to this Hormozi content, just flows off his knogin bcs of how in the trenches he was.
Ik he still is but it feels like he’s making content for content sake now and if you’ve watched him for a few years you know everything, I just hope new people coming in are getting the same experience
URGENT, your mic is rubbing on something. Easy fix by your video guy!
Lmao ur advice would've helped him 3years ago l, good ear though!
How does this apply to B2B sales when I'm trying to sell a recruitment service but they say we are fine, we have tons of applicants for each position open? His B2C examples mostly about getting in shape seem so much easier to accomplish in my opinion and often I cannot really apply them to my situation. Some help would be very appreciated.
How could I put this to solar on D2D sales
Literally, you can delete all of your Jordan Belfort or Cardone University videos and keep this short 15 minute video saved.
I enjoy their products, but this is better. Much better. Because you actually give a shit and you're not pushing something they don't understand or need.
Great video, thanks!
What does "breaking the beliefs" of customers mean? Is there any book / post / course I can learn more in-depth about this topic?
Feels like it's highly important, but I only understand it in general.
Check Russel Branson’s book The expert secrets. He explains it.
@@BaclibreMa_DocJamal Wow.. such a perfect reply to this question.. I immediately got the book and read that chapter and understood it. Very timely. Thank you. @Moby Hope you read that book…
@@lathakarthigaa You are welcome! Russel Branson is a beast!
@@BaclibreMa_DocJamal I figured it out after reading "experts secrets"... will get the other ones too.. any other specific books do you recommend?
@@lathakarthigaa Ecom Secrets is also great if you are into Funnels Sales Marketing... I bought the Traffic Secrets but it is still in the waiting list :)
Those biceps are HUUGE! I think this video has more value than most courses out there! Saving this for later
“They won’t listen to you, until they buy your product/service” is so accurate
I'm here for the white board.
I wonder how come I only learned about this channel now. I think I've wasted so much time watching other sales videos.
Alex, check out the UK's Most Hated Sales Trainer. Your mind will be blown.
The Best way to sell is to have the prospect feel like you understand him and like you care
this video is scarily on the nose with the problems ive been having with my salesman and havent figured out how to communicate it with them. im just going to show them this video lol. thank you so much
Can you give me a good story to say if I’m selling service to landscaping owner
I hate techno bable! Alex is on point, find common ground, identify the problem and come to an agreement on what needs to change to give the desired result!
your videos could be shorter and better bro. i wish you could go straight to the point. you talk yo much
Man I keep getting distracted from your huge arms lmfao...
This is freaking gold man! I just realised i've been doing every mistake you called out in there.
Another expert on selling and only thing he sell is youtube video.
Bro really? Just google him. 😂
i love you alex
What if I like to be shoot straight vs a story? I get this technique but I don’t think it caters to everyone.
Keep the connection intact
authentic
God I love you
Bro is jacked
great information
