Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
Some pre-rigged shrimp work better under a popping cork than others. Vudu shrimp sit more natural looking in the water, whereas the zman rest straight up and down due to the weight placement.
I used to use the D.O.A. shrimp and it worked well for me. But now my go-to shrimp lure is the Live Target shrimp. Their brown shrimp color are dead ringers of the shrimp we have in the bay here. ❤
All great lures. I mostly target big specs here in Texas and I don’t use shrimp as they mostly eat larger fin fish. If I were to pick two of those, vudu under a cork. Or a plum DOA freelined with a glass rattle inserted. Smear some pro cure shrimp scent and slow hop.
ive never used the rattles, thanks for the info, ill have to check them out, i use the rootbeer color doa alot out in port a and the vudus are on point
i've caught tons on doa's , tsunami shrimp cocktails and gulp shrimps, have found the ultra realistic prawns/shrimp don't work as well for me, i have recently used the berkley powerbait power shrimp rigged weedless and backwards, so far it has the most realistic action i have seen without too much bling added to it and has that smaller profile too 👌👌
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Got any videos on different ways to fish these shrimp plastics? Can they be fished successfully from a float? Would like to know if I can fish shrimp plastics from a float successfully over some rock rocks, oyster beds to reduce my chances of snagging on the bottom.
I own the vudu, Tsunami, and DOA shrimp. I plan on getting the Mach64 hard plastic shrimp. I also own Vudu mullet injured 3.5” and Rapala x-rap xr8 ghost.
I am team Vudu all the way... LOL I also found out that the walleyes and steelheads of Lake Erie love the Vudu Shrimp, as do the bass and freshwater drums...
Nice video! Like the comparison of the features. I'm not that great with soft plastics. We did stop using the Gulps because of the tailbiters (lots of blind casting in not-so-clear water). I believe you can get the balanced weight effect by using weighted hooks for the lure rather than standard jigheads, though I can't say I've tried that much.
great video what tackle shop do you by your baits at? I live about 2-1/2 hrs from virginia beach and want to start doing some inshore fishing so I am trying to learn the best baits and where to get them at? if you could recommend any places on line as well that would be great!
A few updates Tsunami has made hook come out the nose of the lure and instead of top seems to give better action. Academy sells an H2O Express MOJO shrimp very detailed legs and antennas same weight as vudu very good looking lure. I've used DOA, Tsunami, Vudu, MOJO, & Gulp had least results, the main factor out of all of them was color, lure did not make much difference color was key factor. New Penny color yielded best results. For as castability we added a small split shot sinker ahead of the hook to get farther cast and better cast in blowing winds.
Hey guys, Jeff what color of the savage type do you prefer over other colors. I like that style and will surely buy a bunch maybe is 2 colors so please let me know. As always god bless you 2 Amen
Yo how you forget about the Ozark trail I have used them a few times I'm new to lure fishing but that's the only lure I have caught anything on till this day
Great vid! I just got some live target shrimp what do you think of them? I in Ohio but got to beach in Caroline’s and like to try to bring home some fish. I use zman worms now so will try the zman shrimp now.
Yeeay, first, love this channel, I use zmann most of the time and like you in slower times the gulp is a solid go to choice, voodos are good but hard to find here thank you for keep bringing up informative videos like this.
DOA and Gulp are my old faithfuls. Used them for years. Vudu is an amazing lure! But for not being weedless it's a bit annoying when your mowing the grass flats with them. I have an SG shrimp but that thing is so pretty looking I'd hate to use it and ruin/lose it! Haha!
How about using real live shrimp it’s supports the local live bait guy and is the real thing the real thing even looks real... $22.oo for 100 live shrimp. And whatever I don’t use I can take home and eat
Noticed on all your videos you don't mention the size of the baits you are using or showing. It would be a great help for viewers if you did. Hard to judge the size on camera. Just saying.

Vudu shrimp is my go-to shrimp lure. Very durable to boot.
The voodoo shrimp by egret baits is a solid choice... Tight lines!
I would recommend the live target shrimp. It swims backwards like a real shrimp escaping.
Absolutely!
they cost too damn much and if you lose one to a snag, it feels like someone squeezed a testicle out your nutsack
H20x Mojo shrimp is also a really nice shrimp bait that I feel doesn’t get enough love.
Great vid!
the tsunami holographic shrimp is really good. ive limited out on reds in a day... Then just smashed bull reds for the rest of the day on em.

Great video. Would love to see a similar videos with your thoughts on paddle tails, crab lures, and/or jerk shad. Keep up the good work!
Coming up!

Now you need to check out the Salt Strong Power Prawns and the Z Man Prawn Starz.
Which rod and reel do you recommend me buying I'm usually going for red's, trout, whitey
bait profiles are what fish see more often then fine details, like watching a shadow on a window curtain
Thanks Brother, this video was very informative! Thanks 😊
Useful for us to use such new tactics in fishing.
Tsunami and DOA are the only ones I have exp with and they are amazing pretty much all year
Great video, as usual, best bait shop in Va Beach/Tidewater for saltwater fishing, or fav's of yours?
I just got a Penn clash 2 reel with 8lb test line for inshore Redfish and trout

So glad to see y'all back in the beach

Nice video looks kinda like Rudee inlet public boat launch.
NICE very informative 🎣💪🏾
Gulp in the OBX/IBX NC, gets it done all year.
Thanks for the review!
Not sure if you know about the Shrimp Walker... it's the most magical hook for shrimp!! Talk about live shrimp action and hook up ratios!!
Yo how you forget about the Ozark trail I have used them a few times I'm new to lure fishing but that's the only lure I have caught anything on till this day
If you don't believe in gulp shrimp or voodoo shrimp check out the UA-cam channel. The fishing fool. He slays fish on both all the time in Florida
I'm a new subscriber. Glad I found you guys! Been watching a few videos of you two. Love the content and keep up with the great work!
i literally use the same exact jig heads
I will take the Salt Strong Power prown every day. With some Dr Juice.
Great vid! I just got some live target shrimp what do you think of them? I in Ohio but got to beach in Caroline’s and like to try to bring home some fish. I use zman worms now so will try the zman shrimp now.
I haven't used them but I hear great things about them
Great video
Vudu hands down is the best...great for flounder on the bottom or fish them suspended in deeper flats...fish kill em
Yeeay, first, love this channel, I use zmann most of the time and like you in slower times the gulp is a solid go to choice, voodos are good but hard to find here thank you for keep bringing up informative videos like this.
Right on! Thank you! Glad to hear it's similar
What would be wrong with hooking the shrimp bait the other way so it looks like it's swimming natural? Or will it swim awful?
Got so many bass on ez shrimpz
I've tried them all and know other shrimp bait even comes close to the Vudu shrimp.
Who sells pro cure?
4th!! Yay!! You guys rock!!
Thank you!!
What about the VuDu

What color do you use for DOA? All I use most of the time is the near clear one that looks like a natural shrimp. I also use glow occasionally.
Some people like everything pre rigged , easy in quick if it WORKS !
Nice
you need to add monster 3X to this list
I like the one that catches the most fish 😂🤣
Hi from Australia. please check out the Holt Production Swim Prawn!!!!!! Berkley have now brought out a COPY !!
Who what the guy you mentioned 4:28? I want to see his channel
here s him fishing a shrimp ua-cam.com/video/EZXk1IhfVM0/v-deo.html
If 2 guys are fishing the same spot , each one should have there own bait and see which one is biting better .
I prefer gulp
vudu shrimp is popular all over the world
I wonder is it possible to let the fish vote on wish bait they prefer?
$300 ??? Okay most of those are between $6 and $10.
How about using real live shrimp it’s supports the local live bait guy and is the real thing the real thing even looks real... $22.oo for 100 live shrimp. And whatever I don’t use I can take home and eat

SEmen? That´s a terrible name for a lure...
Talking talking so much, we wanna see the shrimp in action
