Hey matt hope you see this, appreciate the video shoutout! Sorry for the hairline roast, I know u probably get that a lot. Been a fan and have been watching your videos for YEARS and the vid I was hoping you would make is “what happened to d’Anthony Thomas” haven’t heard that man’s name in forever since he played at Oregon. Keep up the great work! Also, only real OG’s remember the story time videos but you need to bring them back!
Matt, a what happened Daryll Clark video (former Penn State QB) would be a perfect video! The man went 22-4 as a starter, won a big ten championship. Played in the rose bowl. Finished in the top 10 both seasons he was the starter. And he barely gets a mention among top PSU QBs. In fact, still run into fans who wish Devlin got more of a look
My favorite college player ever. NCAA QB GOAT. My family watched those bowls on the edge of our seats. I still have a cornhead(like a cheesehead) haha. Tom Osborne ran a clean program, no dope. RIP LP. Thanks Matt!
He is Tommy Frazier king of the football field. Growing up in Nebraska in the 90s and being a cornhusker fan was awesome. The blackshirts were legit. Sad to see how far they have fallen
Yes he was my favorite player too. I thought he was going to be top Receiver in the NFL (I always traded from him In Madden) that 99, team, he was electric And remember they smashed Vick and Virginia tech in the national championship game
I don’t know how much you know about T.A. McLendon. Albemarle high school in Albemarle NC, 40 min outside of Charlotte. The guy was like 230 lbs and gained over 9,000 yards and 178 touchdowns in high school. Went to NC State and started as a true freshman behind a senior by the name of Phillip Rivers. Had great potential. His college career was very strange, eligibility issues covered up by “injurys” from what I hear. Eventually he goes to the nfl and the story gets stranger, flames out fast.
I remember him. He’d still be in the game in the 4th, with his team up by 60. And played 1A football. Not the best competition. He was good, but a lot of his stats were from his coach keeping him in blowouts.
@mattbegreatyt you’ve done videos about Nebraska in the 90’s Frazier, & Phillips. How have not made a video about the RB that played against them, who won every accolade there is in College, & his tragic life after football. I hope you make your next video is about Rashaan Salaam
It was a very sad case of Crohn's Disease and Blood Clot's that ruined Tommie Frazier's football career. Which is very sad as he was an amazing athlete, and far and away one of the very best college football players of all time.
I played in the next county over from Manatee. Bradenton Manatee HS was (and still is for all I know) ALWAYS in contention for the state title. They've been THAT GOOD for a long, long time. Tommy Frazier was a BEAST.
I'm from Montreal and was lucky enough to meet him and take a picture with him. I went to watch him at practice in the hopes he would stop and take the time for a quick picture. He did and was really nice to speak to. At the time, he was the greatest college football player ever. I was lucky enough to watch his entire career with Nebraska.
How about a video on the downfall of Cade McNown? If there was instant replay in 98 then UCLA would have beaten Miami and played for a NC. Apparently he got in trouble with Hugh Hefner at the playboy mansion and was hanging around some wrong people. Seems like it would be a good story for you. He started at UCLA as a true frosh and was all about football then….who would have guessed that he would fade into oblivion after three years in the NFL.
Glad his life turned out good! I remember Tommie Frazier and when Nebraska was on TOP! It really surprises me today how far this program has fallen. Thanks Matt, great video! ROLL TIDE!! 🐘🐘🐘🐘
Thank you for this video. I remember watching him as a teenager and how dominant he was. Him and Lawrence Phillips together?!?! You had to figure who you were going to try and stop. But don't think he was just a runner. He had a cannon on him too. It's just Nebraska ran the option. And the one fact I thought of listening to the video. He was what, 33-4 as a starter in his career: he lost 3 games as a freshman and once as a sophomore and that's it. A two year run of being undefeated. Not many players do that now in college football
you should make a video on UAB, one of the best comeback stories of college football. from having to abandon their football program to winning their conference just years later
Matt I appreciate you showing love to our legends. Frazier was a beast. I know how you feel about my Huskers and you may hate us cause I wasn't nice to you. My bad homie..my bad....however your research among the Cornhuskers is awesome. Love or hate my guy.....respect. love this Edit: ignore those on your hair line. Bamas recent changes can do that to a die hard fan. You get my drift 😎
One of, if not the best, player ever at Nebraska. In addition, he was in complete control of the offense. Some teammates didn't like it, but he was a proven leader. You may want to consider a video on Brook Berringer. He was due to be drafted but tragedy struck.
1995 Nebraska is one of, if not THE, best college football teams of all-time. 1994 Miami was NOT the same Canes team that others were afraid of....they were starting downhill. And no Mention of Nebraska not having to share the Natty with an undefeated Penn State team in 94?
From one hairline deficient man to another, I empathize with your struggle. Adarius Bowman from Oklahoma State would make for an interesting video. Projected as a first rounder, went undrafted, and put up first rounder numbers. In the CFL.
Final yr ever of the BIG 8 N 1995... 4 schools finished N the top 10 of the final polls #1 National Champions Nebraska #4 Colorado #7 K St #9 Kansas.... HALF of the entire Conference finished N the Top 10 of the final polls 🤯🤯🤯🤣
Back when Neb I-Backs were 240lbs and followed a 260lb FB into the line for easy 5yds. Now it's a 185lb RB standing dead still 7yds deep to find a hole by himself. Mike Leach ruined Nebraska Football
Also remember that this was during the time when teams were still a little uneasy about taking a black qb. I'm sure the health concerns made it easy to pass on him.
I’m 40 and I remember watching him one of the best college football.. I went to Walker High in Jasper, Al . We ran the option when I was in high school. I believe our coaches got it from them
I've got one for you Matt........Leonard Little! Dude was a freak like Jevon Kearse, I think he killed a lady in a car accident and that lead to his end.....
Man thanks for doing this one. As a husker fan , Frazier was one of my favorites. Dude never quit. Him and Phillips and the options were deadly. Should do a video on the Peter's brothers. Anyways good stuff! GBR!
Could you do a video on how Nebraska missed out on Danny Woodhead from North Platte NE . He ended up going to chadron State college D2 school did very well broke the Barry Sanders all time rushing record and won other awards. End up going as undrafted free agent to the jets and was on there I believe 2 years until they cut him and he ended up getting picked up by The patriots and the rest is History to say the least Danny balled out bro . Was lucky enough to grow up and play football and soccer with him .
Did you just try to compare a D2 running back with Barry Sanders one of the best running backs to ever touch a football,Danny Woodhead can't break wind around Barry Sanders let alone any of his records, imma keep you in my prayers 🙏🏾 b/c your obviously battling a substance abuse problem to let a statement as foolish as this escape ur brain 🤦🏾♂️
I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and was a senior in high school when they won in 95. Those were fantastic years to watch football with those teams. Especially in 94 and 1995. Look into the defensive line they had in 1995. Think you may have another story. Grant Wistrom at end is an athletic phenom to this day. Was a genius. Played for the Seahawks on one of their Super Bowl teams, 2006 I think. Owns a cross fit business last time I knew. At the other defensive end, Jared Tomich had a learning disability but still overcame that and was just a monster lineman. Went to the Saints for a while. Now the interior linemen, the Peter 16:28 brothers, could be their own story for you. Great ball players, but a whole lot of trouble in two opposite ways. Christian was not a good person, to say the least. A bunch of off the field problems involving women I’ll let you dive into. Both went pro. His brother Jason Peter hurt his back doing pull ups and eventually became addicted to pain killers while with the Panthers I believe. Look into it. Think you may like the content to make.
How come he didn’t play in the NFL? My Aztecs knocked Braxton Miller out of the game then Guiton comes in and lights it up. He seemed better than Miller.
I remember this guy and how powerful they were and I was and am a longtime Crimson Tide fan. We never really played Nebraska too much but they use to crush Auburn. I remember that.
Helped Tyrone Williams pass Algebra in 1992 summer school. He played with Tommy at Manatee High School. Tyrone went to win SB with Brett Farve. Thank coach Kinnan for the help.
He was an option QB that bare threw the ball 10 times a game, so he wasn't gonna get drafted into the NFL none of those option QBs from Nebraska were as QBa, Scott Frost was draft to play safely by the Jets.
Tommie Frazier was amazing and one of the big reasons we won in 94 and 95. Greatest QB in Husker history. Go Big Red
"We". 😆😆😆
@snwrist_3 and who were you? We will get another.
@@snwrist_3RIGHT😂😂
Nebraska is dead now. Geaux Vols!!!
@RiVer-Parish hahahahahahahahaha now thats funny.
You youngster have no idea how good Tommy B. Was and Nebraska back in the 90s ..man was legit good.
Are charlie Ward
Yes he was Tommie Frazier was the man
I remember watching him destroy Florida. This dude was a monster
Not my fault i was in swimmin in my dads back then
💯. I'm an old and was in HS in the 90s Grew-up aa a CU Buffs fan (Nebraska was a big arch rival in those days).
He was amazing.
That triple option was the TRUTH!!!
Facts!
Nebraska didn’t run the triple option. It was a normal option using the I-form.
The greatest QB in husker history!
One of the greatest in NCAA history! And I'm a Florida Gator
He should have gone there even though he was born in the same city I was
Your just saying that cause yall couldn't tackle him😂 Go Noles woohoo!!
Frazier, Frost, and Crouch put together a great 8 years at QB for the Huskers.
Bring back the I-Bone Triple Option.
@cobracrimsonguard7108 Those 3 plus Berringer (R.I.P.) are my favorite QBs thus far. Looking forward to future challengers. Go Big Red.
Don't forget Scott Frost.
@@cobracrimsonguard7108 be nice to see the wishbone again!
@@toddgoza3522we got a pocket passer now last year was prolly last time we’ll see the option in LNK

It's weird to think I was in high school when Nebraska football was NEBRASKA football...
Nebraska in the 90s was a juggernaut and Tommy Frazier was the straw who stirred the drink. One of the greatest of all time
He is Tommy Frazier king of the football field. Growing up in Nebraska in the 90s and being a cornhusker fan was awesome. The blackshirts were legit. Sad to see how far they have fallen
Man please do one on Peter Warrick. Probably one of the most elusive players in CFB history.
Yes he was my favorite player too.
I thought he was going to be top
Receiver in the NFL
(I always traded from him
In Madden)
that 99, team, he was electric
And remember they smashed
Vick and Virginia tech in the national championship game
Tommie Frazier was a bad man at Nebraska.
One of the first college football players that really grabbed my attention
Rise and fall series on programs would be a good video idea. For example Nebraska, Miami, etc.

Myron Rolle former #1 recruit also a Rhode scholar who became a neurosurgeon. Very interesting. Loved the videos

My dentist when I was in elementary school was one of his linemen.
Gotta floss your A-gap better…
He dismantled the Florida Gators defense.
As a life long FSU fan. I enjoyed that game cause they beat us to get to the championship game
Do a video on “What happened to Andy Katzenmoyer.” He was a beast of middle linebacker that played for Ohio State in the mid to late 90’s
You should make a video on Brad Banks. He went from finishing 2nd in the Heisman and then went undrafted.
That team was vastly underrated and Banks was a legit ballplayer. I really thought he had a future at the next level
1993 Charlie Ward WON the Heisman and went undrafted
That's because he chose to play in the NBA!
Back when Iowa had a productive offense.
Clearly you know absolutely nothing about American history.@@carlcruz2046
Tommie was unreal and Brook stepped in and kept us competitive. Both were amazing.
