    Awesome catches! The light pattern when it's parked is rather soothing to the eyes. I really love the new units!

      The three new Wildlands are the first with the V2V in the city. The plan is to implement this on new apparatus if possible.

    Awesome catches!! Those sirens and lights are controlled by the Whelen core system which allows custom and DVI patterns on emergency vehicles. They are designed to be traffic moving when responding and calm but warning when on scene. Awesome video!

      Thank you very much! Yes I’ve heard of that system. A good idea, and hopefully we’ll see more and more emergency vehicles with these features.

    I saw VFRS's new Electric E1 cruise through QE park today! Wondering when you are going to be able to catch a vid of that beauty. I was on the phone with my dad when I spotted it out of my window and I stopped listening to what my dad was saying until I lost sight of it. haha. Love the vids keep it up.

      Ah nice! I think they are currently taking it around town for photoshoots and stuff. Then there’ll be more training, so MAYBE we’ll see it entering active service in December or January. I’ll keep an eye on it and as soon as it’s in service I’ll get some videos… 😁👍🏼

    Love the calmer pattern when parked. Really great idea. Reminds me of the old halogen light patterns.

    Sick!! Is it cross staffed or fully staffed?

    • @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses
      @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses  10 місяців тому +3

      It is cross staffed with the ladder. So if they’re already out on a call, bad luck. But it takes all the medicals, so that makes it relatively easy to catch.

    They had to get new one because the older ones had all of 400 KM on them

    • @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses
      @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses  7 місяців тому

      You mean 400,000? 😂 The old ones are over 20 years old and have been used frequently (mostly for medical calls). The old ones are also still in service as spare rescue units.

  • @Stargazzer811

    "While they are designed to fight vegetation fires, these trucks primarily respond to medical emergency calls on a regular basis."
    Anyone else see the issue here? I think VFRS needs to invest in ambulances and/or light rescues, not brush trucks.

    • @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses
      @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses  9 місяців тому

      I don’t think it’s that simple. VFRS cannot get ambulances (or at least cannot transport anyone to the hospital) because BCEHS is the only provincial ambulance service in BC.
      These can be seen as multi-purpose units, and they have enough compartment space for medical equipment. Brush trucks have to be strategically positioned around the city anyway and it will be better to drive them on a regular basis than leaving them unused.
