Electric vehicles aren't environmentally friendly , they're hazardous to the environment because the batteries aren't recyclable so when the batteries fail they are thrown in a landfill.
@rickyalcoser6052 Instead of spouting whatever bullcrap you heard on newsmax or fox, or whatever your propaganda outlet of choice is, maybe actually take the time to learn about EVs? If you took said time, you would find out that EV batteries are over 95% recyclable, and those recyclable parts are the valuable ones, and they are infinitly reusable. Once we have enough of it and a solid workflow for recycling, we can stop mining it all together.

I picture everyone of them as that one rescue driver that still drives to every call with a stoagie in his mouth.

I have seen engines pumping at major jobs before for many hours. So many that the city fuel truck had to come by to top off the rigs. Who's going to charge up these glorified golf carts at major fires?
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses So it's burning diesel to make electricity to keep itself charged? Sorry, I'm not sold. By the way, as of today 8/30/2024 the Rivian plant caught fire and burned up 50 Rivian EV's. Those LiON batteries suck.
Cool(the RTX) looking but where is the infrastructure to put these EV fire apparatus in service? I think cities that are considering these should have a plan for effectively charging these rigs before they spend the $2-$3 mil for the rig and logistics/infrastructure to charge these rigs but I digress, your video is first rate, thanks!👍🏽🇺🇸
They have the infrastructure to charge it at Station 1. Doesn’t take long to recharge and has a range of at least 100 kilometers. Can also be recharged on the road/ on scene as needed.
@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses well, maybe it's the toy fire engine from Rosenjunk. Yep...that's it!! They'll break in two days in most suburban and rural territories.
I'm a Volunteer Firefighter and the fact that a department is relying on an EV has is primary response unit on a time where those same EV's are a major hazard is .... troubling to say the least
@DavidSmith-yu2yk it'll be 50 years before a majority of VFD is even able to afford it. Plus, they had better redesign to raise the clearance up at least 12-16 inches. Or it'll get hung up exiting the house.
The RTX is a fraud. It's not fully electric - it has a diesel engine backup, its suspension is so weak and the truck is so narrow and tall (Euro chassis) that it is at huge risk of rolling over, and the water tanks leak. In fact this rig was out of service for many months because of the water tank leak. Clark County NV had one for less than a year, realized how bad it was and sent it back, and we are big on electrics here (lots of solar power)...
If you are going to accuse something of being a fraud at least try to be accurate. The truck has an onboard clean diesel engine used to recharge the batteries in the EXTREMELY rare cases that it is required. We understand that there are dinosaurs out there that are unable to accept that the industry is progressing. You'll be ok.
Wow. Literally every point in your comment was false. Good job… I won’t even bother explaining the facts to you, it’s probably no use. Do some research. 🤦🏻♂️
it's only tall when the suspension is all the way up ... and even then it's not really tall compared to some other European trucks. Huge risk of rolling over? Not really, even when put to the test and cornering at high speeds there's not really a high risk of rolling over. Not sure what you mean by weak suspension? "The RTX is a fraud. It's not fully electric - it has a diesel engine backup," not really a fraud; It can run and operate fully electric, the diesel is nothing but a backup which is barely needed at all
@@EnjoyFirefighting I saw Clark County engine 18 heeling over very badly exiting the station. If it gets hit broadside it will roll much more quickly than a standard type 1 engine.
