this particular song (and the new album coming up) seems to be a bit more electronic-metalish focused, but Igorrr outstanding work (its main foundation, i would say) is actually breakcore/glitchcore, with massive baroque/classical influences in one side, black/death metal/grindcore in other, mixing stuff from trip hop, to world music, to electronica and uhmm.. cats, dogs, microwaves sounds and... chickens, with brutal chaos, grotesque and schizophrenia on it.. Its really hard to describe! The female singer is called Laure le Prunerec, the male singer is Laurent Lunoir, and both have their own side projects. Check Nostril album (very noise-glitchmetal-ish) or Halleluija (more Death/Black metal/grindcore with baroque influences) or even the recent EPs with Bong-Ra (2 songs) and Ruby My Dear (5 songs). Any of these is sure to blast your minds in very, very different and unexpected ways
Igorrr also have his own side projects, one of them being (even) weirder and more brutal then this one, its called Whourkr (today, defunct) and its a insane, unforgiving mix of experimental death metal, electronic and cybergrind.

"Maigre" is the modern electronic equivalent of a composition done by Beethoven. The combination of Ruby My Dear and Igorrr is phenomenal. An album that's criminally underrated.
This is the kind of thing which it's just impossible to judge it fairly after just one listen. So many layers! Truly original, which is really hard to be these days. Definitely have to check out more from this guy.
I think it is damn near impossible NOT to have exactly that first reaction. Not knowing what to expect, you are still totally suprised. But what may sound like just pure sonic mess at first, can end up growing on the listener, and those songs are very often the ones that really stays with you, while things you just like instantly may fade away. For me personally I have always liked music that challenges me, and music where I can find new details with each listen, even if it is just the slightest nuance.
I love so much seeing reactions to people who never seen Igorrr, watch Igorrr videos or live. Incredible stuff that I have loved for years

The title ieuD is the French word Dieu, which means god, with the first letter moved to the end of the word. What this signifies is anyone's guess.
All his music is phenomenal...he knows so many talented musicians.
Oh, and Igorrr (Gauthier Serre) is the bald fella playing the guitar.
My friend introduced to Igorrr just few weeks ago. And I absolutely love it! Although I`m not a guy you will see listen to heavy music.
I like how their music is a journey through different emotions and styles. And that is what I love about them - it`s not strictly metal, opera, classical music or electronic music. Music should have no boundaries, and that is why I respect this project so much.

20 years into metal and I've never heard anything like this before. I had to put my game on pause. Jaw literally dropped. Only thing that even comes close is Iwrestledabearonce or the algorithm...maybe the Browning Effect which btw u should check out if u haven't yet.

hi,so the name of the song is IEUD, that mean DIEU Upside down (GOD in english) igorrr is a french band, the guy with no hair and play guitar is actually the compositer of pretty all the music. his name is gautier Serre, the two vocals are Laurent Lunoir and Laure Leprunnenec. they don't sing french, it's a strange langage from the heart but doesn't really mean something to me.
All the works of this guys are amazing, best artists in france for me.

I might be a tad late but the "language" is one invented amongst the bands working together and is called "Öxxö Xööx" they don't have a full vocabulary yet but they do have an extensive list somewhere on bandcamp. Hope this helps ! ^^

Also you should watch "Tout petit moineau", maybe the live version at Dour festival out there on UA-cam, that's one of the biggest hit of Igorrr and that song takes you to the guts, freaking crazy.
There's also a full live set from this year on the website "Arte Concert" which is worth watching :)

Its not backwards, its just the first letter put in the back of the word. So we get "ieuD" out of "Dieu" (french for "God"). So the translation would be "odG"

The principle is that Gautier couldn't find any music that he he heard in his head, so he made it. A lot of the tracks on the album are breathtaking, like au revoire.

Igor was the name of his, Gautier Serre's, hampter, who died before he started the project. He added three Rs for originality.

You should check "Brutal Swing" it's pretty much what igorrr is all about. Another very experimental song concept is "Chicken Sonata". It goes into depth on how a chicken can be a better musician than a human.

Like the reaction :) First Igorrr track I ever heard was Double Monk (ua-cam.com/video/g85LqKXIgvY/v-deo.html). Out of my speakers came a mix of noises including breakcore drums, throat singing, tabla percussion, metal guitars, accordion, and refrigerator. The intriguing bit was not only the weird mix, but that it worked (well. at least to me). I think the guy has a great ear for what sounds/noises go together, regardless of origin.
Should have done 'Damaged Wig' regardless if it has a music video or not.

Just saw them at Hellfest 2017 ... It was as crazy than in the music videos ! It's HUGE! There is another music video that is far more crazy but far more visual and artistic.
Ya gotta check out "Cheval" by Igorrr as well. It's by far their best song according to me.

Just for information about Igorrr. It's not the name of the band, it's de name of the guy with shaved head who is a composer for many bands, he wrote some songs for morbid angel.

I really like Igorrr's Hallelujah album. He's got songs in there with his damn chickens on the tracks. X'D He's also got this one song... uuhhh... "My Chicken's Symphony" that's pretty nice. XD
You should check out Chthonic. Either "Supreme Pain for the Tyrant" or "Defenders of Bu-Tik Palace". Broken Jade is also really good.
Hi! Try to listen Fleshgod Apocalypse (no matter what). They also mix classical music with death metal, but as for me make it much better. Hope you'll enjoy
