Looks like some interesting rules. I believe Samurai used shields in the ealrier period when they were more a cavalry force but as the combat changed so did their weapons etc.

I wouldn’t know! Seems like shields makes sense to me for a lot of soldiers world wide because it is a cheap way to put something between you and a sword or spear. So it makes sense to me they’d have had them in some capacity. :) thanks for watching and merry Christmas!

The samurai’s them selfs no but the fodder did but it was mostly made of wood though
