Mines has been sat on a shelf awaiting the after times. Somehow managed to get Gauls together for Infamy! Infamy! and half a KoW army, but this is definitely next.

Good video. I will be really interested in your thoughts as they develop over the next few videos. I backed the KS & have played about half a dozen games. As an experienced gamer I found that the games became predictable & if I am honest a bit dull. This was a real disappointment as reading the rules through it seemed to tick all the boxes. I will no doubt get it out onto the table again at some point as my regular playing partner was more positive on the rules.

My first impression of the game was a bit of confusion at first - the amount of emphasis on some stuff like taking track of fatigue and even missed hits and The like seemed tedious at first , but after reading it a time or two I found it is part of the mechanics and looked fine. Most of the games I played before covid were rather unpredictable - Hail Caesar being your typical mass army game but having enough units to not be sure how things turn out and Frostgrave have many different troop types and the sizeable d20 variables made it highly random! You are absolutely right though - a game may look great via rules but until you play a lot of it only then can you truly judge if the game is good for you or not. Cheers and many thanks for watching!
