I would add the Wells Fargo Autograph to the list. 3% back on Gas, Travel, Restaurants, Transit, Streaming and NO Foreign Transaction fees with a few transfer partners.
Difficult watch. Just show the card up front and timestamp it
Me too
Zoomer gets bored too easily
where is the link for the non public chase offer?
There isn't really a specific link-- you just have to apply and see if you get it
Just got $100 gift card with amazon card and they started me out with freaking $20,000 credit line. Thanks you
Please be careful with this card as they charge interest on the whole statement instead of the current balance when not paid off fully every month.
Link for non public chase offer?
Bro just didn’t put it 😂
I think the new Wells Fargo Attune can be included as well. Just released today (June 5, 2024)! 4x in so many interesting categories!
What? Stop saying the Prime card is zero annual fee. You need $139 amazon prime account. Amex BCE is better. If you insist on paying an annual fee get a US bank shoppers reward which gets you 6% on amazon for $95 after first year. no prime account needed. As far as stacking custom cash, you get citi rewards + which stacks to make return 5.5%. Not citi premier.
It’s comes down to would you pay for prime if you didn’t have the card
If yes then there is no annual fee and no extra money you are spending to have the card you would have done it anyway
If you don’t have prime and don’t want to pay for it then find a better option
@@robert8311 i guess i'm not understanding your logic. i'm saying if you don't want to pay an annual fee only get 3% on prime visa but, there is a better card for that. if you're ok with an annual fee, do not pay for prime because there is a better card, (with 6%) and cheaper annual fee ($95)
@@robert8311i guess my reply didnt post. My suggestion is why pay for prime if usb gets you 6% back for $95/ year?
You dont need to have prime account. The only difference if you dont have prime is your Amazon cash back goes from 5% down to 3%
@@robert8311 my point is you only get 5% if you subscribe to prime for $139 annual fee. OR you can skip prime and get 6% for $95 annual fee. that is cheaper. not sure why people keep locking on “if you pay for prime anyway… etc”
Could you please make a video showing us how to save money on taxes. I’m a truck driver who gets paid with a 1099, and I hear about a lot of drivers getting paid through an LLC. I don’t understand how that works though. You explain everything very well, was wondering if you could please make a video on different ways to save money on taxes.
Thank, thank you for making this video. 17 yr old and it is much appreciated
literally the hour i turned 18 i applied for the discover it student card and got accepted instantly, but instead i recommend applying for the chase freedom student first if you are going to college. if you don’t get accepted try discover.
Thanks!
Where's the Chase non public link? SMH
I just got the Bilt on 06/02. I was offered the 5 points for the first 5 days. I have another Wells Fargo card so i wonder if that made a difference.
That’s the standard unofficial signup bonus everyone gets
I love your credit hack videos ❤️❤️
Link for chase non public offer
I got 200 with prime 🎉
@john Laing - can you do a review of the Loop master card?
Isn't the chase non public offer now limited to only 300$ ironic for a card named "unlimited"
Where’s the chase non public offer link John??
Help! I’m applying for the citi custom cash and I keep getting denied. My income recently jumped to over 50,000 and I have an account with American Express which has a very high credit limit for building materials. I also have an account with Home Depot consumer card from citi bank and I have never missed a payment, always paid in full early or on time, and I’ve never taken out a loan.
is the discover it card better overall over the citi cards?
I'm wondering the same!
I couldn’t find the chase non public link. Was it attached in this video?
Bilt doesn't offer 0% APR 🙄
Hi John! My wife and I have been using the Chase Freedom Flex for the past 5 months. We are planning to travel to Europe next month and need a card that does not charge foreign transaction fees. What card would you recommend us to get to avoid that fee and get the most points possible! I saw the Chase Sapphire Preferred does not charge foreign fees, but does have an annual. I’m wondering if we’d really need that if we wouldn’t really be using that outside of this trip.
Please let me know! We would love your advice!!!
I'm not an expert like he is lol but in my opinion I think you should ask yourself with getting a non annual card transaction fee would you be okay with not using chase for example capital one OR using something with chase for example they have a Marriott credit card called the Marriott Bonvoy Bold. It's no foreign transaction fees non annual card but you get Marriott points that you can always use if you ever stay in one of the Marriott Hotels or use that Hotel for your Europe trip. I think annual fee credit cards are worth it if only you gonna get the most benefits from the card. If you feel like you don't need to add a power card to the chase freedom flex then maybe see what other chase cards on their website with non annual fee you might be interested in that might offer the no transaction fee. I hope this helps!
Hi John, I’m in MA. Do you offer private financial/credit card consultations? Also, I just signed up for the Chase unlimited after watching your old video. I didn’t get the non-public offer. Can they still honor it? Thanks for your videos :)
He doesnt but I do, I am educated in all the banks credit cards and can come up with a strategy on your needs
You have a little video in the middle of your affiliate links
Does the bilt card work for mortgage payments as rent?
Where is the link for the freedom unlimited
Link for non public chase offer?
Can we get a built for paying mortgage please
Could I get that Non-Public Link?
Solid group of cards, but the Wells Fargo Autograph Visa should be in there to make it an even 6 cards.
What card should I get I haven’t had any. Should I get the capital one savior or chase unlimited?
I say do your research. His video he picked some really good cards that I think are worth it. I think it comes down to where you spend in those categories. For example the two you asked about are different with their point system. If you send more money on those categories go with the card that's gonna give you the most beneficial. The other thing to consider would be the portal. If you are using these cards for travel really research which portal you think would be helpful to travel from or if you plan on getting one other annual fee cards in the future to pair with the non annual fee card.
The link ?
Just got my Discover It card and my question is how long do I wait before applying for the Bilt credit card which is on my list to get
Keep up the great content John! I appreciate your hard work and insight!
@@danielz8183 I remember him saying three months before you apply for another card. But since the bilt card has no welcome bonus you should be able to go again not financial advice.
At least 6 months minimum
First!
so close!

let's go!
@@johnsfinancetipswhere’s the non public offer link for chase card??? Not in the description like stated.
At 4:58 - "Benefits of the Savor One include..." while blurring out the card...nice
i wish people understood how incredibly helpful this video is
I understand Chase is used to Hawaii and California gas prices, but $800 for me would be over 5000 miles. Cross country both ways. If I needed a gas card Custom Cash with a $500 monthly limit would work fine
Bilt question: does it have to be residential rent? Or can you pay rent for a commercial property and get points?
If I had to pick one with no SUB, the Bilt card is good. I would time major expenses and bills to transact on the 1st.
If I had to choose a regular card, it would be the WF Autograph.
Edit: I got the 5X for 5 days offer when my card delivered for Bilt
Freedom should earn 6x at dining and drugstore.
I got the Savor One. Capital One sent me an offer for a Product change to a Quicksilver I thought it would be a better card but I see now it wasn’t worth the change. I wonder if I could switch back.
Hey John, when are you applying for several credit cards over the course of 2 years or so to maximize sign up bonuses, how are you regulating your hard inquiries? I have a few recent hard inquiries from a mortgage and car refinance and wondering if it is still safe to apply for new cards since the inquires seem to stay on my credit report for about 2 years.
Would love to see a video on the new Wells Fargo Attune Card
Need that non public link!!
Literally what i just needed
I have a citi dividend card which is super old i remember they offered a product change way back but i dont remember what card it was for. Should i apply for the custom cash and then later down the line ask for a product change with my dividend?
Can you provide the link for the non public Chase freedom?
Good info but makes it hard to follow when you don’t show the card in the beginning
Do you have a video on how to help build your teens credit now ? 💳 What's the best card to get them ?
🌿
for the chase amazon card, it is now a $200 gift card offer
Chase non public offer please
Can you send the link
Where can I find the non public chase offer link?
Bruh stop blurring the card.
The Amazon Visa is my daily driver and I love that I don't need to do anything to get the points into Amazon. It automatically shows up at the check out screen.
BILT was previously 2 credit card purchases per payment cycle, but now they increased it to 5. I'm considering getting this card, but managing the points seems to be a bit complex. I'll look back to see if you have a video break down on the points transfer!
It’s not too bad to manage for me personally, use it a handful of times going out to eat (i believe delivery services count as well for the 3x). one month i did forget and ended up going to walmart on a grocery run and bought the 5 cheapest things in my cart individually in self checkout 😅
I might try it with reoccurring billing services (Gas/Electric, Internet, subscription services, etc.) I think food or other purchases may give the most points through. Were the points fairly easy to manage afterwards or do they expire?
Ahh nevermind, just saw that the dining and travel gives points. So I wouldn't get any for the other services.
Honestly, I have the BILT I think people make it seem like 5 transactions is a lot to keep up with, but there is an app you can see what your transaction was if you have no automatic subscriptions or payments happening. Also rent is counted as one of the transactions so you really only need 4 if you are using this for rent. Also the first of the month "rent day" offers double the points except for rent so for example you buy dinner the first of the month that purchase is now worth 6x vs 3x. I say just get everything out of the way for the first of the month. Rent, food, utilities, even if that means buying a candy bar. The points you are getting alone from rent at least for me is worth remembering that 5 transactions. Because in theory who is giving up on average it costs 1800 in the US for rent that many points for some other basic non annual fee card. If used correctly this BILT card is more than worth it. You are talking about almost getting 20K in points for just paying rent annually. Plus the other categories aren't too bad and the first of the month does help a lot with points double. The biggest thing is the has the hotel chains (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt) also MANY AIRLINES (domestic and international) with 1:1 transfer. American Airlines on there is HUGE not many credit cards offer 1:1 with them. The other thing to consider is this can be an easy trip paid for flight or hotel. Especially if you don't like booking under the travel portal for credit cards and if you have a power card for example the AMEX or Chase Preferred card where you are already doing transfers you can easily use that BILT to get the ultimate experience. Don't let the inconvenience of 5 transactions stop you from a good strategy. There isa youtuber I watched where he was sad he stopped using his chase card for his subscriptions to the BILT but he said what's $180 points when I can unlock over 2,000 + a month with rent and to transfer later on to my account at a hotel or airline.
@@breannawyche8745 you've sold me on this! Thanks for the details and explanation!
