India played a new brand of cricket through out the tournament winning 10 out of 11 that too in big stage is an extraordinary achievement. It reminded me 2003 world cup where we lost only one match and went on to final without loosing any match but there also Australia beaten us convincingly. As you mentioned Shreyas is a big plus for us and he is acknowledged now. Only problem araised was injury to Hardik and it was felt in final match and his replacement Surya Kumar, who was backed by team management, branded as x-factor, 360 player, better than Ab de Villiers, etc, etc., is completely failed his nation when mattered but on contrary his counterpart Travis, backed by Aussies team management, played very well to lift trophy for his country. >India played a new brand of cricket They didn't. They played normal cricket with excellent talent. >completely failed his nation when mattered No. Don't fall into the trap of blaming individuals. Do you want to know the main reason Aus excelled? It's because we didn't really have fear of failure. It makes us calm. India had already decided it was the winner. Winning the final wasn't impressive, it was expected. When things looked bad, every Indian player thought of the abuse, the ridicule, being dropped, losing. When things look bad for Aus, it's fine. They're still our lads, we'll do it next time. Every time we did something good the crowd was silent like the grave. And it hurt their morale. Every Indian wicket, every time we hit a six - It gave doubt. You talk about Kumar failing and Head succeeding, but every Aussie fan knows that Head has failed. For years. Often. But we still backed him. He's one of ours no matter what happens. We won't and didn't drop him for some fails. We know the failure can make him stronger. The same is true for Green. He's had a bad run. But we won't drop him, we'll keep giving him chances because we can see his effort. A few years from now you'll sonder how he's so good. The other reason is that politics and the public have nothing to do with selection or development. We let those who actually know make the call and don't constantly second guess them. If India ever get their act together, with their population vs ours, we would never beat them again. But for now, we'll win.
I dont accept this reason we r very strong team when compared to any other team in tournament but final we played with fear of failure which is clearly seen in rahul batting. He played with fear with defensive mindset. He thought if we failed no batting further. If he played with positive mindset attacking with boundary or rotating singles or doubles then aus will feel pressure they will tend to made mistakes easily we can capitilise it.(aus played with positive mindsets they win we played with negative mindsets we loss).
I have to say one thing and one thing only… you and the team should be proud of yourself as we played scintillating . Please keep your head held high ❤
Ashwin is a master at accepting reality. It takes a great mind and maturity to express such true praise on fellow team members after having been kept out of the playing 11 during both the WTC final and during the CWC final. No wonder you are the only player who represents Tamilnadu in the Indian Team for the last 12 years consistently.
Standing with stars no matter what, team did their best ❤... saying that the pain is too much swallow in... we will bounce back 💪... come on boys we are with you 🎉
Honest review and accepting the fact that Australian have understood the pitch conditions, planned well in terms of bowling ares and executed to the core , well deserve Australia....
Getting Goosebumps when Ashwin speaks. A fantastic analyzer. Wish soon to be a part of an Indian think tank. Is narration in Tamil is excellent and touching!

Hello Ashwin, Really delighted to have watched your Exhaustive Talk. What an Energy level you have got! ThanQ. Eagerly waiting to see you complete 100 Tests & 500 Wickets as early as possible. Yes, personal records, milestones, fete, etc. are secondary only and Team's Victories come first. Still, we are all proud of you representing our Country from TN for so many Tests spanning more than 12 years and Achieving Excellence silently. Great Going, All the Best, God Bless U.
What you said about Bumrah is 200% true. Even in Finals, it happened to Head so many times and not one broken the stick, feel very sorry to him. Master of swing and pace bowling by Bumrah, treat to watch. Then Rohit is priceless and selfless what a leader to sacrifice himself for the team. Those who blame his batting in Final can think of his play in Eng match proves he can change fidel and my perception that he went again to Maxi's 3rd ball that ge want to knock him off to create fear and show dominance. Butcit went otherway. Very unfortunate 😢
Wow Aussies read the pitch so perfectly we should have had plan B/C probably we did but just didn’t click. I felt Kohli’s dismissal was the key apart from Shreyas leaving early.
True tactical masterclass for sure from Aus. Ashwin and team India - thanks for giving us some of the best memories of cricket for years to come. Heartbreak? Yes it did break our hearts, but we couldn't be prouder to be an Indian cricket fan.
This is the only post WC final talk im hearing,.after I switched off the TV on that match climax.. This I'm hearing,.coz I still love cricket and knowing about cricket is possible purely from Ash Anna.
Ash... You are a true champion and a great ambassador of cricket. At the time of toss, when Ravi shastri asked Rohit "Any changes? That time I was eagerly looking that Rohit spell out your name. But unfortunately it didn't happen. Then my intuition was bang on " Something wrong is on the way " . As Bossky said in his recent interview..you would have taken head's wicket with ease. The carrom ball and the other stuffs were missed badly that night from you. But see now, how big Your heart is.....not showing any regret and praising everyone who contributed well throughout the campaign. Well done. I am big fan Dravid, Dhoni and now you are in that league. Ashwin .The legend.
Good reflection, very positive outlook. Disappointed that they didn't utilise a world class thinking bowler like you especially against Australia against whom you have a psychological advantage. You could have been a great difference to take India's fight closer in CWC Finals
Thank you for the honest reflection. No one else gave us such detailed insight. As fans we crave for this. Thank you also for the subtitles for those of us who don't know Tamil.
Hello Ash, I wonder if any cricketer who are in their prime of career would be like you. What kind of effort that you take to provide valuable insight and inputs. Once again we are very very proud to cheer for you Ash. Collar ah thooki vittu solluvan hey idhu enga Ash da nu.❤❤❤❤
Even before Final match , I had doubts over the team selection.. Fact that shami only got a chance to play when Hardik got injured. and Ashwin wasnt playing but someone like SKY whose 50 odi run rate isnt consistent to say the least, was playing shows Rohit's poor choice of team .. I mean yes,, being an Indian i will support the teams representing India but we shouldn't also shy away from asking tough questions..
In place of pandya we should've played Ashwin instead of suryakumar. We would've got a 6th bowling option and also Ashwin is a decent batter. Ashwin would've batted better than SKY
All played their part so well, bad luck in the finals , maybe if India batted second like we did in 2011 l, the chances were high. I watched all the Indian matches and till Rohit Sharma bats every ball, every over was like a blockbuster movie. I would rate Rohit very higher than Kohli, Rohit batted fearlessly.
Thanks Ravi Ashwin for your clear information about soil & pitch.. can catch up your information.. As a audience for me just a world cup but as a Team for you it's a history you missed it guys..
Well played Team India & Ash bro. Thank you. For past one and half months I had been living a dream except the final. Day after the final was dull & depressed day for me. We need 4 innings ODI to mitigate the advantage due to toss and conditions.
Ash - appreciate your leadership and insightful commentary. Agree - Bumrah and Rohit standout selfless performance! Kudos to your selfless contribution to the team. What do you think about the significant impact of pressure in the final?
Key turning points 1) All 4-batters failed at same time (Gill, Iyer, SKY, Jadeja) unable to handle finals pressure 2) KL, Virat playing could have hit ground-level 4 (not lofty shots), instead of only singles 3) Rohit out - going for big shot when 6,4 already hit and Gill down 4) After 3 wickets cud not take, as score was low and they NEATLY planned innings that's it.!!
Team India did the best job and is team of the tournament. Winning and losing game is part of any sport. However, was very upset to see that we could not exploit the home ground advantage despite having 120000 spectators. India played very good cricket according to the pitch conditions. There are lot of critics who will talk about players and tactics. Surprisingly no one talk about the role of supporters. This is also a factor in sport. Cheers from supporters will energize and motivate the team in difficult situations. Unfortunately I have not seen much support or cheering for the singles taken by kohli and rahul. They have batted more than 20 overs to steady the innings. I think this was the main reason that we have lost the game not the tactics or not taking any risks. Seems Indian crowd is mostly coming to get entertained from boundaries, milestones, wickets etc. in contrast, Australia embraced the challenge to silence the crowd. Something to learn how to emerge from the situation that is not in favor. Looking forward for more tournaments ahead.
Your articulate analysis and positive outlook showcase the true spirit of the game. Your commitment to continuous improvement is truly inspiring. Here's to more success and memorable moments on the cricket field!
This is so comforting to hear after we let it slip having come so close. We’ve got to be able to move on and look to the future in sports and I can see that from this true sportsperson! We did miss your bowling through the tournament but will keep my fingers crossed to see you shine in the IPL and the upcoming test games champ 🙌 Jai Hind! Let’s hunt for the T20 WC
Thanks for doing this! Question: Why Rohit said he would have batted first as well ? Did we not read the pitch as well as aussies ? And Second, why was Siraj not given new ball?

Australia was never losing that WORLD CUP FINAL from the very first ball they hunted in a pack, they fielded like absolute demons and I knew we had it and our WORLD CUP WAS COMING HOME 🇦🇺🏏🏆❤️🇦🇺
no they know conditions very well + pitch(from ind pak/reading pitch)+toss+ability..+constant wickets+that catch...they will definitely loosed match if they choose to bat 1st...fantastic planning...+their main target was layer and let rahul and kohli to play in pressure which they had done successfully+if u see suria out again u can understand how many similar balls they throwed him....but india is in upper hand in tallent+tactics...they lacked in pitch knowledge....
Its great to hear your comments on the tournament, and I had no idea there is so much to the soil, and the pitch. Amazing to hear from you! Good luck for your future Ashwin!!
We always lack in proper planning and strategies, we get extra defensive under pressure every time in crucial matches, this has to change in future somehow.
Bro... If we got chance to win a series in Australia, Please say this in post match interview that "I think we have entertained the Aussies crowd not kept them silence", to Cummins

Hello Ashwin, am Muralidhar...I listened to your thread bare analysis of the world cup and really in awe of the planning that Australia does. Just a thought came to my mind as was watching the 2nd session - our bowling. When nothing is happeniing in usual course of things, we get reminded of MSD , whi makes things happen. It would have an out-of-the-box thinking to have Virat Kohli bowl a over or two as we had nothing to lose and everything to gan. Those moves takes real guts and MSD was a personification of such thought process.
We as Indian cricket fans deserve answers to such questions: 1. Why despite the fielding medal initiative our fielding intensity couldn't match Aus intensity?, fielding made a huge difference. 2. Why didn't any message float from dressing room to KL Rahul when the game was drifting away as it happened in other matches? 3. Why couldn't we read the pitch and conditions right despite playing in home conditions? 4. Why did Rohit allow easy singles to Head and Labuschagne? Rohit was so brilliant with his captaincy all throughout but he opted for defensive approach in final. 5. Why couldn't our bowlers execute bouncers against Head, even in WTC final we were late to execute bouncer plan? 6. Why do we take defensive approach every time under pressure situations and do not take enough risks?, we need to overcome fear of failure. We can't sleep either knowing that this was our best chance to win the cup, Ro-Ko deserved it. 😢
@ashwin bro that Pat Cummins bowling strategy of bowling with a leg side field is inspired from their recent ashes series. They (Aussie quicks) used to bowl short with a packed leg side and get wickets by batsman being caught at deep mid wicket and behind square. So what we saw on the wc finals is something that they have already done before.
It was a great run for us ..we were the team to beat .. we have had one bad day out of 11 days .. thats alright .. aussies were better on that day avlodhan .we just stuck to the winning combination .. can understand the think tank ..win or lose always with team india

Heart break true! Not end of the world AshWIN ! This team were world beaters, you are a champion and I am sure you guys will continue to make us proud
Ashwin being objective and analytical. Well done!
Standing with stars no matter what, team did their best ❤... saying that the pain is too much swallow in... we will bounce back 💪... come on boys we are with you 🎉
Great showing guys. Ash would make a great future coach. He is a thinking person, and could have been Captain of any team.
Honest review and accepting the fact that Australian have understood the pitch conditions, planned well in terms of bowling ares and executed to the core , well deserve Australia....
Aston Agar played big role in Australia's ODI squad but without him they managed to win the world cup...unbleivable
Getting Goosebumps when Ashwin speaks. A fantastic analyzer. Wish soon to be a part of an Indian think tank. Is narration in Tamil is excellent and touching!
Ash, lovely narration. How could you be so positive though you weren't in playing 11? You are a gem of TN/India. Expected but missed you too much in the finals. Immediately after the players names were announced in the finals, I was searching for your name & when it was not there, I could predict the result as many others would have.
WILL BE GREAT IF YOU COULD REVEAL WHY YOU WEREN'T SELECTED IN THE FINAL. Want to hear this from you explicitly if you could please...
Thank you for being a strategist, supporter, drinks-man & SPORTIVE, despite not being in the playing 11.
Lots of luv.. Your big fan 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
Amazing review. Indian players need our support more than ever. They gave it all and had an amazing run. Congratulations to the indian team and management for what they achieved. If you have played cricket even at the local street level you will know you take winning for granted. Winning all the way up to the final is a great achievement.
Ashwin rocking everywhere 🎉
Outstanding effort given by Indian team..feel proud of every player effort..only one thing strikes in this final like matches player like Ashwin gives some extra spice to team which helps to be winner

1. Ashwin...Plz do a separate video on Tactical Analysis of 2023 WC final !!!
2. One on One Interaction with Sourav Ganguly discussing about 2023 World cup !!!
Hello Ashwin, Really delighted to have watched your Exhaustive Talk. What an Energy level you have got! Emitted so many information, data, so many intricate details about the kind of Balls used, variety of Pitches being played in, etc. in such a short span of time. You were really raining! Great.

Beautiful review Ashwin! I am not even a cricket fan.. but learned alot from this retrospective.
The Best Video i saw about the WORLD CUP - Sema insights . this makes us love cricket more indeph.
Wouldn't be surprised if u become the head coach for the team in future ❤
Shardul
Ashwin
Surya
Prasid
Jadeja. Very bad selection for worldcup. They are good players but not genuine match winner.
Ash.....you are a best all rounder. You have scored big scores in all 3 formats.
21:39 Next level anna. Australia's homework has been superb leading up to the final. That analysis was one of the reason why Pat chose to bowl.
Ash - appreciate your leadership and insightful commentary. Agree - Bumrah and Rohit standout selfless performance! Kudos to your selfless contribution to the team. What do you think about the significant impact of pressure in the final?
Good analysis...wish there were more Indians like you...in your team too.
Key turning points
1) All 4-batters failed at same time (Gill, Iyer, SKY, Jadeja) unable to handle finals pressure
2) KL, Virat playing could have hit ground-level 4 (not lofty shots), instead of only singles
3) Rohit out - going for big shot when 6,4 already hit and Gill down
4) After 3 wickets cud not take, as score was low and they NEATLY planned innings that's it.!!
It's amazing to listen to your analysis and insights for the game. Thanks! I don't understand Tamil but subtitles helped. Thanks!
Hope you will be selected in the South Africa tour...i wanna see your bowling in the test... You r one of my favorite bowler
I wish Ashwin made this in English - he has great cricketing insights - would be great for him to share that with a global audience

on so many occasions opportunity to play in the playing 11 has been denied to you. still you have never expressed your disappointment. I know how painful it will . unga manasu yarukkum varadhu ashwin ji. Love you for that quality.
@@unknowns221 And Australia has the 🏆
Its great to hear your comments on the tournament, and I had no idea there is so much to the soil, and the pitch. Amazing to hear from you! Good luck for your future Ashwin!!
We always lack in proper planning and strategies, we get extra defensive under pressure every time in crucial matches, this has to change in future somehow.
Very Nice Presentation Bro✌️👌🤩
Bro...
If we got chance to win a series in Australia, Please say this in post match interview that "I think we have entertained the Aussies crowd not kept them silence", to Cummins
Watched and listened to another 26 minutes of Tamil, though I'm actually a Bengali guy (West Bengal). Only because it was you speaking, Ash Anna. Only because of your precision and honest perspective in these reviews. Brilliant sum up on all those players who had been absolutely outstanding this world cup. Hat's off to you.. because still being part of the team that unfortunately lost the finals of an anazing campaign.. you came up and delivered an honest review, taking no creadits away from any team. Great!! There are some person's who's reviews I follow a lot.. like Harsha Bhogle, DK anna, Aakash Chopra, Jay Bhattacharya... And obviously you too. Lot's of love and Respect
Australian are a nation of great players. They performed when the team needed the most

No words are going to console anyone. Rohit Sharma’s stupidity in throwing his wicket away is going to haunt a lot of people for a long time
Lol, you guys always find a way to critize Rohit
You are same people who still like defensive mentality of other batters of team India, Aus was 47/3 and look what they did
This is how an analysis should be from an expert. Unemotional and fair. Since the past one week I have been thinking why did Australia choose to bowl first, i got an answer from you Sir. Also, the tactical brilliance of Cummins bowling was beautifully explained.. hard luck Ashwin. Wish Hardik wasnt injured for your sake.
They have missed your brilliance Ash.

We as Indian cricket fans deserve answers to such questions:
Just completed watching this video completely even though I couldn't understand Tamil...thanks for the subtitles 😉
Ash anna, your absence is felt at the finals. Especially in slow track.
Do not worry ,u very Good bowler of India U have did very Good job for our country.
