  • New helmets with communication make removal of 2 cottonwood trees that were dying easier. Don't worry, I hugged the tree before cutting them down.

      Yes, they do, and the best part is there is no head unit to control them all. When I was ripping last section down to handle blocks I muted my mic but still could hear everyone else.

    Are you sure these are Cottonwood? They don't look like any Cottonwood trees I have ever dealt with. I am not sure of the name but folks around here plant these hybrid fast growing trees for wind breaks along property lines and these look like those. They grow extremely fast and tall but have a short life span of around 35-40 years.
    Anyhow...great job on the removal and the new helmets are 👍👍👍

      @BertsCustomCuts  3 місяці тому +1

      A lot of people also plant willows, which are fast growing. The helmets with coms are awesome.

      @BertsCustomCuts Our Cottonwood has really deep/thick bark and is dark brownish/red on the inside when freshly cut and wet,but gets much lighter colored as it dries out. I am not sure what these trees are myself, but I don't believe they are Cottonwood. Yes, I see a lot of Willow/ Hybrid Willows around newer housing additions here as well.

    Nice tree job & camera work. Camera crash was impressive to see. Around these parts, those are called seedless cottonwood trees. They are fast growing but short lived. Have you thought of a catchy name for your tree service?

    Bert you don't have a city brush dump near your place? Thought you had plenty of boiler wood for years to come off of the Eastonmade wood processor? Trying to figure out why you would keep cottonwood.

    • @BertsCustomCuts
      @BertsCustomCuts  3 місяці тому +1

      I dont have a pass to local site and its not for buisness dump. You have to go to ladfill and pay to dump. The small amount of cottonwood can get mixed in with mixed hardwoods or go in boiler.

    WOW, Gavin has grown a foot since I started watching him. how do you keep clothes on him and feed him in this economy. Cottonwood is one of my least favorite woods. It cuts easy but isn't really good for anything. How did the comm link work? That was so cool how you dropped that tree on the 2 tops and off the ground. Didn't mess up the yard and made it easier to cut up.
