Wonder if you let me know the gap between the upper 4 link bars on the rear diff. I believe the lower arms are 33” apart (on Center lines) on the axle. Kindly let me know
Kind of an odd question. I had to go measure it. Upper mount to lower mount on the rear end are 9" center to center. Lower to lower is 38 1/4. Upper to upper is 20" all on centers. If you need more info let me know but i will probably have to look at it more another day.
Thanks very much. I bought a rear end out of a 2004 canyon. It’s 60” wide so good fit for the truck. I want to use the same triangulated 4 link kit as you. Unlike the ford 9 inch the canyon rear diff has an aluminum Center section 15 3/4 “ wide. The axle housing tubs are steel. I’m trying to figure out if there is enough room to weld the top brackets all the way around. I assume the brackets welded to the top of the axle are about 2” wide. So I should have enough room
@DeniThiessen yeah the upper and lower mounts are clear of the housing and on the tubes. You should be fine welding it. The 9" we have is from speedway motors they are pretty good about having drawing and specs for all their parts online. If you need more info about the rear end specs.
Very nice Vid. Lots of work, and it's much appreciated. Adjustable upper trailing arms would be nice going that 9". Pinion angle is a question.
Thanks for watching. I'm sure we will going more into the details of that as we get the drive line installed.
