@@Anamaria2301 SO much I could say about this having done a lot of research and some experimenting! I discovered that you need a certain amount of henna to cover the grey, and any indigo will just make it darker. So a hendigo diluted with cassia will make a lighter brown, but the greys will still look sparkly as it were (but you can get then gold and blended in this way rather than grey and obvious). To make the greys light brown you essentially make the rest of your hair a darker brown than it started, but I find that the indigo tends to wash out a bit in me in any case but I prefer a lighter tone so that's okay, but it is more red than my natural colour... The solution is to indigo gloss when it does this, but that does just mean going darker... And I have found that on light brown hair adding that cooler tone can make it look greenish, I guess that's something that shows more on lighter hair than dark. I did research into colour theory and of course greeny blue (indigo) and yellow/orange (because the henna is pale because you're watering it down) makes green... Then I discovered there is something called katam which is like indigo but more purple-blue than green-blue, and I think in theory would correct yellow-orange to brown. I'm going to try that. I wouldn't personally do a shorter-timed hendigo because it takes so long to do root application anyway so some bits would look darker than others (remember you mustn't just keep applying to your whole hair each month because henna and indigo build up and get darker in layers), and I wouldn't know how long to leave it exactly for the right colour. Henna by itself is a very time consuming process. The end result is usually worth it. I mixed the Rajasthani with indigo, including aloe. It was dark reddish brown but literally washed off my hair after waiting 4 days to wash. I am tired of red, although it’s beautiful.
@truthreigns3267 - you might be leaving the indigo too long - it needs to be mixed up and applied within 20 minutes because only this initial stage of dye release can dye hair. I died my hair in a one step process for years (I part henna to 4 parts indigo: Rajasthani henna mixed in hot tea with cold water and salt for the indigo) and always had a very, very dark brown with no reds at all - I have naturally dark brown hair with a lot of grey at the front but it was always uniformally dark. I have allowed my grey to grow out for two years because the colour felt too dark for me at 61 years old, and am now going to attempt a lighter colour on the grey (so I get streaks) by mixing in Cassia and less indigo.

Glad I stumbled upon this. Had anybody bought from her store? I am tempted to dye my hair brown with henna, but my hair is a darker brown naturally. Any tips?
In order to get a almost black color, should I start with a brown base (50%henna and 50%indigo) or a dark brown (30%henna to 70%indigo) and then apply the indigo as a step 2?
Generally for an almost black colour, it’s still a two step process but the first step is just straight henna, and then second step is straight indigo. To make sure it doesn’t go completely black, (depending on your natural hair colour) I wouldn’t personally leave it on too long - I have a dark brown colour with bronze undertones and I left the indigo on for about 1-2 hours (to get black), so I’d probably leave it on less. Just a warning, sometimes the colour doesn’t always catch (which is why the Henna Sooq Indigo packs say to add salt to help it stick better to your hair), sometimes repeated applications are necessary :-)

I just brought henna from the henna lab. However it says mix and put on without letting the henna sit to release the dye. Should I still mix and let the henna sit for an hour or more to release the dye even tho it does not say so?
Hello. We can’t answer this as you used another brand and we don’t know if there are any conflicts for their brand with chemicals. Please ask the brand you used.
I don't know if I should try the bundle, I've chemical-colored hair with thin Asian salt and pepper hair. I'm afraid that my gray hair is going to turn red. I just want my hair to be medium brown, no red. I never did henna or indigo before. Do I mix the henna and let a sit for 3 hours? Indigo power mix and let it sit for 20 minutes.
Unfortunately, henna with indigo cannot be stored for a long period of time, even if kept in the fridge or freezer, as this does not preserve the quality effectively. If there's any leftover, please dispose of it.

I always add essential oils ( rose and jasmine) My hair just sucks it all up and loves it. First application and my hair feels 1000000 times better than any treatment i used while blonde and my hair has always been healthy. Henna just does different. Totally love it
@@maggiepabellon5635 sure the one step usually means you are like mixing paints in a way but this is henna hair dye and makes reddish brown, brown or dark brown and a two part steps is henna first and then indigo for black tones. I love your sinserity and great simplicity !! 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️✨
Thank you so much!
Hello ! im glad i found your chanel (even if its still a little bit confusing) i would ask, what would you recommand for me (brown hair) to go on a dark copper, do you think its possible ?
It depends on how light your hair is, but it could be possible using multiple applications of our Moroccan Henna Powder
@HennaSooq How can I get caramel blonde with cassia? I mention that my hair is bleached blonde now.
Hello. You can find more information here: hennasooq.com/products/organic-cassia-powder.
I have 100% natural dark brown hair but I want to lighten it-light brown is my goal color, what color would I pick to achieve that-I am a level 3
Hello. We’re sorry we don’t offer a light brown tone as it’s not possible with henna since it dyes reddish tones and even with indigo it makes more of a reddish brown to medium brown and darker etc… There may be other options found in this really good book called Natural Hair Coloring by Christine Shahin. www.amazon.com/shop/hennasooq
Hi Khadija , love your videos.I have a lots of gray hair and hard to cover. i have to do it in 2 steps sometimes repeat the indigo 2 more times ,Isthat anything that i can add in the mix to fix and last longer?
Hello. Sometimes, repeated applications are necessary to achieve desired color.
Can I dye my gray (snow white) hairs beige, if I keep 50/50 mixture on them only a little time, maybe 20 minutes?
(Or maybe 30-40% henna and 50-60% indigo?)
20 minutes is really too short of a time. Try at least 3-4 hours or half that time with heat. Sorry for the late reply!
Hello! I have a question: My indigo powder is blue. Can I use the blue one or does it have to be the indigo green powder?
Hello. This seems not to be our product. The powder should be green not blue.
Can you add amla aritha and sikakai in this 70% indigo and 30% henna ratio?
Yes, you may do so
@@HennaSooq ratio plz?
@@Samiyascreations.organic usually 1-2 tbsp per 100 grams of henna
I am 100 % white/grey.
I would love to go to a copper shade not orange.
Is Morrocan henna Red Raj or just Rajasthan adding a small percentage of indigo to the Henna?
Thanks.
For a copper color, you can use Moroccan henna or Jamila henna. This is achieved by mixing equal parts of henna and cassia (50% cassia and 50% henna).
Glad I stumbled upon this. Had anybody bought from her store? I am tempted to dye my hair brown with henna, but my hair is a darker brown naturally. Any tips?
Heya! :) Sorry for the late reply. Did you ever give our henna a shot: hennasooq.com/collections/brown-henna-hair-dye
PS it won't lighten your dark brown to a medium brown. You'd have to use chemicals for that.
Hello. We’d recommend for black tones you do a two-step process with henna and indigo. Try these steps: hennasooq.com/blogs/frontpage/complete-guide-how-to-color-your-hair-with-henna-and-indigo/
when you mix the indigo and the henna, why do they mix them separately and then together. Like make a paste with henna, then with indigo. can you mix the two powders together and then add the warm water to this mixture ?
Hello! Because they have their own dye release and if you combine them together, there's a possibility that they won't work.
Can you talk about golden light brown ratios? No one talks about how to achieve golden light brown tones?
Beautiful..thank you for your job.I wish you will be in UK so we can day hair whit professional ❤
Can red raj and indigo be mixed together to tone down a bit?
Hello. You may mix them separately then combine them together after the dye release.
I've been including henna in my hair masks and my hair is now a dark brown. Can I just use indigo to go back to black?
How many months can we store this paste
Unfortunately, henna with indigo cannot be stored for a long period of time, even if kept in the fridge or freezer, as this does not preserve the quality effectively. If there's any leftover, please dispose of it.
Hello Asalamualaikum, just wanted to know if indigo powder is wudu friendly ( water permeable). Many thanks!
Hello. Yes, make sure that you use distilled water. Warm to hot, not boiling.
@@HennaSooq thanks for the reply ❤️
What's the henna indigo ratio for black hair?
Hello. For black tones achieved when you use henna first at 100%, and then second step of indigo at 100%. You can check this guide for your reference as well: hennasooq.com/blogs/frontpage/complete-guide-how-to-color-your-hair-with-henna-and-indigo/
By 3 parts do you mean 3 tablespoons for short hair ?
What is the percentage if you want black hair?
Hello! Please do a two process with henna and indigo. 100% henna & 100% indigo.
Hello, I colored my hair a burgundy tone but my grey is at about 75% and it turned out orange. What can I do to darken the orange tone. I have henna sooq products I just don’t know what to do to fix it. Thank you for any help you give me.
I don’t know
Would it be henna on a dyed hair? Should we open our hair first before henna?
Hello. Putting henna (and any herbs) onto damp hair really helps it go on much easier. Also applying indigo onto damp hair (with a dash or so of salt) has gotten the indigo to absorb better and give even darker, richer black color results.
What do I mix for a light ash brown color?

How would I get a chestnut brown/ aburn color? I’m sucha newbie w henna and I’m trying to understand everything . But it’s a bit confusing lol
70% henna, 30% indigo
what's your opinion about khadi henna?
Can we use only root touch up using Indigo
We don't really recommend it without henna, as if it's been more then 3 days and if there is any new growth no with a good henna base, then it would come out with a greenish hue.
What about if your hair is black and you want to keep it black?
Hello. We require a two-step process with Indigo as well to maintain black.
How can I make reddish brown henna Please???
Hello. Henna does naturally stains reddish tones but when you use indigo you can get reddish brown or brown or dark brown or even up to black tones.
For dark brown tone for how long to keep it , one step process
Hello. You can keep it for 3-4 hours.
Thank you so much Mam 🙏
Does this one-step process work for grey hair???? Has anyone tried it with success?
Hello. All of our henna hair dye products cover grey. What you purchase depends on what hair color you want. Have you decided which tone you’d like to achieve ?
Can I use henna if I’ve colored my hair with salon/box dye before?
Yes you can!

I have gone back to henna after being blonde.
I miss my henna hair ( i mix indigo and henna)
I add honey and a little apple cider vinegar.
I always add essential oils ( rose and jasmine)
My hair just sucks it all up and loves it.
First application and my hair feels 1000000 times better than any treatment i used while blonde and my hair has always been healthy. Henna just does different.
Totally love it
That's good to hear! 🫶
Can the one step process produce a black color on brown 4c hair?
Hello. No sorry. We require a two-step process with henna and indigo. You can refer to this guide to help you along the way: hennasooq.com/

Perfect explanation! ❤
thank you!!
@@HennaSooq for someone who has dyscalculia can you explain what one part two part means in the video?
@@maggiepabellon5635 sure the one step usually means you are like mixing paints in a way but this is henna hair dye and makes reddish brown, brown or dark brown and a two part steps is henna first and then indigo for black tones. Is this the parts you meant? Or do you mean the one to one parts? Like equal proportions of each? That would be brown then. It's 50/50 basically of each.
Please can you do a video on indigo glosses to top up when the indigo starts to fade leaving more red?
