Yup! Another good one , Kim! Love the Flux Blossom refire! Desert Dusk was one of my firt glazes ever. Beautiful colours of a Saskatchewan wheat field! Agreed, deciding what to glaze is the hardest!😅 I have put DD on Norse, Lavender Mist, and Raspberry Mist. Lavender in my fave but they all look nice.
Wow! You two are really pumping out a lot of pots!! I LOVE the flux blossom on top!!! I definitely prefer the lighter of the two desert dusk muddy waters mugs. Muddy desert would be a cool name for that combo!! Love the plates! Great kiln load! Good luck on the next firing!!
Very nice kiln opening Kim! I loved the flux blossom over sangria. Do you do 2 coats of each? Muddy Waters is a problematic glaze for me. It never turns out pretty for me. I’m giving up on it, same with winter wood!😅 Thanks for sharing!
Hi Kim Your glazed works are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your talents. All your re-fired mugs turned out to be exceptionally beautiful also. As a novice potter, I don't produce lots of work, but I have some mugs and bowls accumulated to be re-fired. I use Amoco and Mayco glazes and fire at cone 5 with 20 minutes hold. Could you advise me what temperature I should fire for re-firing? I added some more color on the bowl fired at 4 with 20 minutes hold but the colors seemed not moved well. I would appreciate your help.
I just put the pieces back in with a regular firing! It all depends on what your wanting to do, honey flux is a great glaze to add if your wanting some movement! I’m in the process of making a video on refiring pieces!
Hi Kim..great kiln opening..I bought Muddy Waters a couple of months ago and I forgot what I was going to do with it, u know that missing note that u write something on and now is missing,,thanks for the tip
When you fire with engobe on the bottom of a mug, do you sit it straight on the kiln shelf, and it doesn't stick? I just bought some but can't find firing directions. thanks!
Always so many beautiful glaze finishes. May I ask is the glaze you call citrus flow Amaco PCF 19? It is named CIRRUS flow. Cirrus being high clouds with ice crystals, which explains the colour it produces. Thanks for sharing and I do feel uncomfortable correcting you. I hope you don't take offense.
I love your colours!
Thank you 😊
So glad the Sangria is finally working for you!
Thank you 😊
I love the platters!
Thank you 😊
Desert dusk is one of my favorites. Try it under purple/greens/blue glazes, it’s PHENOMENAL
Ohhhh thank you, I will definitely be trying that!

Thanks Audrey! I will have to try that!

We have a studio tour this weekend, hence all the kiln openings! It will definitely be slower next week!
I love your round platters, can you show how you make those sometime?
@@Maryzlem yes definitely, Todd is planning on doing a video soon!

Sometimes I buy glaze and it sits for months just unsure what to do with it and why I bought it 😂

They don’t stick to the shelf at all, the engobe is basically just clay!
When you use the engobes on the mugs, do you paitn the entire mug with it? Or do you only put the engobe on the bottom? Pretty glaze combos!
I usually just put the engobe up to where the glaze will be and then just overlap slightly!
Always so many beautiful glaze finishes.

Thank you! I’m always saying the wrong word, in my mind it’s right but something different comes out of my mouth 😂
Definitely not offended!
@@undsethpottery phew lol, but I do like how they thought of a great name to describe the colours
Do you mean cirrus flow? By Amaco.
Yes citrus flow, what did I call it 😂
Do you use the same firing schedule for a re fire ?😊
Yes I do
