Watch 'Cascadia - A Place Where Giants Roam' here: • Cascadia - A Place Whe...
It's a water world and life couldn't survive without it. And thanks to it, a mind blowing diversity of creatures thrive beneath the surface. Born to enjoy the riches underwater they must master their body's adaptations, learn to find food, to escape danger and above all become expert swimmers! Whether it's in rivers, on beaches or in the deep ocean, all must overcome the obstacles and fulfil their destiny, all are born to swim!
Of all the habitats on earth, the ocean is perhaps the most challenging. Here salt, temperatures, currents and predators can make life difficult; it's not an obvious place to want to bring up your babies… But even in these waters generation after generation beats the odds. They have overcome the challenges and become some of the most beautiful and graceful of creatures. But any baby born to swim has a lot to learn…
All over the world there are creatures born to swim, and though humans are not, we seem determined to join them. Perhaps we are envious of their grace. Maybe we are all water babies at heart.

Blue Planet presents Born to Swim. We travel all over the world and swim with frogs, birds, seals, eals, anteaters, bears, Capybaras (admit it - you have no clue what a capybara is - I sure didn’t ) Since we don’t harbor a death wish and didn’t have a alligator wrestler on hand, we admire crocodiles’ swimming skills safely from the boats except for the poor sod who volunteered to film underwater. 🐊 (kidding! Nobody volunteered)
Waterworld without Kevin Costner. We’ve got rivers, beaches, the deep blue seas.
Is water the most challenging habitat? Let’s look, example Amazon: piranhas, Cayman crocs 2 meters long. The world’s biggest rodents live there too whose natural enemies are on land (Jaguars)and in the water (the crocs) The Capybaras. And despite looking like a cross between prairie dog gophers and hippos 🦛 , they are born to swim. Our swimmers always have obstacles to overcome. Clever wins the day.
Born to Swim.
We are too. Go for a swim. Best exercise ever. 🏊♀️
Enjoy!

Capybara looks like a giant beaver minus the tail and a big hump on its back
Actually, I found out what a Capybara was last year 😄 TLC did a documentary of a Woman that has a Capybara as a pet.
They live in the Amazon rain forest

Change? How bout we receive what God has made. Not shameful.
Yes definitely
By we, you mean large corporations that blame groups and individuals as the biggest reason to why the earth is changing and dying?
I saw blue planet and got slightly offended that I was not immediately met by the sweet sultry voice of the legendary sir David Attenborough.
Yes😭 I honor that mans voice.
Kind of a rude if not unnecessary comment! I certainly find it offensive to this video's creator! Especially since this is a FREE, fantastic A+ documentary. I'm sure nobody wants to hear your voice, either.
❤❤❤❤❤ watching this documentary over again see all kinds of everything under the deep sea
I absolutely love the whole video but one of the best parts is when they are showing the father fish guarding his eggs. He pushes off the 🦀 a few times. Then in comes the humans....big tuff daddy fish head butts the human rights in the snorkel face!! 🤣😂 LOL..... the scuba diver was just like, “Well what did I do to u??” Gotta love nature!! 💕💜
I know right?! Nature is just awesome
Timestamp? I missed it :(
Birds are underrated. Always performing
I can't be the only one who clicked because I thought the nostrils of the fish in the thumbnail were odd eyes
Hahahaha thank you for bringing that to my attention
No you’re not! Lol I thought, “omg that looks like a fish out of Beavis and Butthead, I have to confirm this is not clickbait.”
wait those aren’t eyes? I guess the actually eyes are what I thought was a headset?
It's a dorkfish
They really look like little eyes 👀
Fish in the thumbnail: 🧿👄🧿

U need help 😅😂
☹❤ ny heart exploded When the mom still kept looking back at her baby seal on her back when they were in the water together. Omg and that kiss the mom gave her baby to show her that its ok was adorable!
But then mom bounced 3 wks later...
WAhyu😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😜😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I love how different these seals are
❤
Thank you to all the creative and technical team that have got together to show their great works for learning here. Godbless you all.
This documentary had me going through a rollercoaster of emotions as I pleaded for them to find something else to eat every time a predator was close to the prey especially if babies were near 🥺
I know right like just go to the krusty krab or something right pffft
This is the real world... not the one you’ve been coddled into.
Circle of life, baybeeeee
Should be more concerned with human beings and the damage and destruction we do animals only take what they need and no more unlike the selfish population of greedy people

The seals are so beautiful and curious 🥺 I’d do anything to one day have the experience with them that these divers had

Amazing documentary very educational thank you 🙏 so much I really enjoyed it.
Great Documentary about 🐟 and other sea animals
I love these documentaries. Animals live such uncomplicated lives... not easy, but much simpler than ours.
Are you sure about that or are you implicitly not saying that humans are insane and you're projecting your own insanity upon the concept of simplicity Winnie the Pooh it's easy man it's as hard as you want it to be I got my friends and I got my honey Rastafari Tucson Arizona Sonoran Desert
Animals live much tougher lives.

Very beautiful- thank-you!
I really thought that fish on the thumbnail had forward facing beady eyes and it was terrifying.
You ain’t lying.
I clicked on this thumbnail photo just because of that face. It reminds me some goblins on the movie ‘Labyrinth’. He has binocular vision and he is looking you.😆
Lol right

Everytime I watch this kind of documentary, I always amaze with mama animals who are giving birth and knows that they have to feed their babies. I always think that animals or humans we're all the same. We all have feelings. We all feel love. If only, we don't have to kill animals for food.
Animals were meant to be our food.
Animals are tasty

Scary too. Would you be able to survive in nature?
Beautiful documentary. Thank you.
We are born out of water through our mother canal we flow!!
The capybaras gasp kills me😂 like of all possible sounds when you see a predator.
The color of water when video first start is so pretty.
@5:33- that father fish isn't exhibiting "strange behavior"- it's protecting it's offspring!
The trees that are bent, when they were baby sapplings all the rain and snow bent them down and covered them and they sprouted back up.
40:17 "The victor goes to claim his prize..."
Then has to immediately tell her "Not tonight love, I've got a terrible headache..."

TINK YOU FREE DOCUMENTARY GOOD
awesome world
Brilliant documentary spoilt by the number of adverts.
Awesome
The manatees moved a little slowly for our taste - we in fact were forced to double the speed in order to not die of boredom. Highlights included the marmots of the sea, the ever-vicious walruses, the seals and their eyes of the void. Polar bear cam. Highly recommend setting the shark section to "spooky scary music" to enhance the mood.
Thank you for this free video‼️🙋♀️So appreciate it!

3:59 That fish looks like it has two tiny googley eyes and is wearing black ear muffs...
Lol true it like 💿👄💿
If 95% of salmon die during their whole ordeal, then the 5% than don’t are absolute legends.
Then what does that make you, a sperm who survived and succeeded among millions of other sperm?
Yes I was thinking what happens to them though because I thought the whole point of their lives at that point was to reproduce so if they don't die do they just stay in the river where they reproduced until they do die or do they go and repeat the journey again for as long as they can.
And is it just the females that return to the river or is there only one sex by that time or even all the time because I only ever hear about them having to return to lay their eggs actually I know fxxx all about salmon I don't even like the taste to eat it either. That's a terrible thing to say because I am supposed to know a lot about underwater things but I think that is because they are not really sea creatures but they are it's only to spawn when they are not better get myself educated about them
I very very much enjoyed this video thanks for the feeding of the mind ( EDUCATIONALLY) 🦋

Believe in God or believe in evolution, but can we all agree that nature is beautiful and must be protected at all costs?

Evolution is a lie..
I wish we could all agree on such a seemingly simple cause. I pray us humans change our ways and stop destroying nature before it is gone.

"Blue Planet" is a BBC series narrated by David Attenborough. This narrator sounds a lot like OfficiallyDevin.
