A little hack for motivation/visual progress in monotonous knits:
Add a stitch marker to the side when you start knitting!
That was the only way I could stay motivated for the Sophie Shawl 😂 (and it also helped me keep track of the increase/decrease side)

Another interesting sock yarn to compare, tenderfoot from EYB. It's super wash merino and nylon but somehow manages to look rustic and none superwash

I really like your videos and am really encouraged to try more difficult and new knitting! Just wanted to ask if you have any sock blockers that you would recommend? I‘ve never blocked socks but since I started watching more knitting videos i think getting some sock blockers would be a good idea. :)

Just wanted to say (because you brought it up in the beginning of the video) that I started knitting for the first time at the end of January and I'm knitting the step by step sweater!! As a first time knitter, I'm really impress by how much progress I made, I always thought knitting was more time consuming and difficult haha. I also kind of regret not doing the german short rows because it does bunch up but that's ok.
Anyways, thanks for the pattern, I really like it!!

Just wanted to jump in with a tip, in case you’ve never tried it!: I’ve found that for sweaters without short row shaping at the neck, if you pull the back neck up above the front neck while blocking to mimic the effect of short rows it can make the sweater much more wearable. Either way, your sweater sounds amazing! 😊

I knit the step by step sweater as my first sweater and first raglan sweater after my first two cardigans. I had only 5 months of knitting experience and it went well!
    Thank you Florence 😊✨

If you're looking for a cuff down sock pattern: Sun Up Socks by Lily Kate Makes is beautiful. I knitted my first socks with it and loved it so much that I knitted three pairs already :) Also I think that her patterns are outstandingly well written.

Instead of nylon you could use silk mohair

Great video Florence ! Can't wait for the sock review one. Like you, I've been trying to buy a new sock yarn every time I feel like making sock, to try and gather that information so I can make up my own list of favourites. You've also convinced me to put the mamba dress on my list. One of my goals this year was to make a dress (maybe for christmas), and i thought of the Augustines ones, but this looks LUSH and would be a good construction challenge.

Thanks for another video 🤍 I only saw your post yesterday for the mamba dress and thinking “holy crap she finished it already” and now you also posted a vid so I feel lucky lol and I’m so excited for next ep already, your wips are so gorgeous 😭
And I totally agree with you on paying money for simple patterns. For me, to have someone explain it the way I can understand best is priceless, compared to me trying to understand someone else’s pattern writing for free

I absolutely refuse to do toe-up socks. If there's a pattern I like the look of I usually find it very simple to adapt it to cuff-down

Most socks can be switched from toe up to cuff down or the other way around. Takes a little more brain power and starting at the end of the pattern
