- Richard Childress drives Dale's number 3 car at the beginng of the 1000 bulbs race at Talladega! My seats was right at the start/finish line. Was really awesome to get to see this in person.
This was the car won in his last race before his passing.

Richard childress's UA-cam channel said he got up to 170mph. And for a car that old. That's BADASS
morphman21 and it was geared down to slow it
And not in the draft
Its not that old plus they ran faster then in 2000 than they do now at tally
@morphman21 that car quite capable of doing 200 mph.
@@AnDrEw122100 REALLY? NASCAR Gen 7 cars are near able to reach 200 mph. The last NASCAR car to reach 200 mph was in 1987.
Glad I was there too see Dale win his last race and glad i to be there too see Richard drive that badass racecar around Dega
Our Dale Sr was the best driver of all time! The Oppermans from Tx
It was so good. We traveled all the way from Sydney Australia to be there. Road tripped from from Los Angeles through New Orleans and up to Bama in a beat up old RV . God bless America
That car rolling past with Back in Black blaring in the background gave me the damn chills!!
Thank you for posting it is great to see it from someone's pov than on the TV.
UNSC Dark Noble Media it was awesome to see for sure!
@@Devon_Lewis bet there wasn't a dry eye
Anytime you see one of dales cars you just get the feeling hes riding in it
Awesome video bro thank you
Me and my family were there at Talladega that day seeing that black three brought tears to my eyes the first race I ever get to watch live and there's a beautiful black three thank you Richard for making a man's dream come true rest in peace intimidator
you missed him going wide open
I know.. I was trying to switch to my other camera. Then when I was he came flying by.
My one and only race I’ve ever seen in person. It was a great day and we took the day off to watch the finish on Monday ❤️❤️
That gave me the chills
Y'all here the difference in Dale's car? It sounds like original racing
such an iconic sounds at the superspeedways
Almost brought me too tears...
Earnhardt would win easily, no problem whatsoever in todays NASCAR field. As a matter of fact anyone in the top ten from that era would win today with no problem . Earnhardt’s Raw driving ability was unmatched even then . No driver today compares.
I happened to be there that day? It’s the only race I’ve ever got to see in person and it was amazing, even though we got rained out
Yep it was awesome! I could make the makeup races though lol
You missed the high speed pass??
The cars now don’t sound like they used to
Wonder if the new cars are as fast as that car dale drove ?
Kyle East I feel like the older cars was faster lol
Considering they put a smaller motor in the new cars
Does anyone know what his top speed was?
1SixpenceFan have no idea. I missed where he gassed it because I was going to use my actual cannon camera to film his last lap and before I got it up he got on it and I missed it lol
@@Devon_Lewis I saw another video where Richard said the car had a 3.00 gear and they changed it to a 3.50, also he couldn't turn it over 7,400.
7,400 with a 3.50 gear, 85" tire equals 170 MPH
Richard childress's UA-cam said that he got up to 170mph on the lap
That is not dales car that number belongs to Richard Childress that's his car that's his number Dale drove for richard
Probably the dumbest comment I’ve ever read. When you see that 3 car you think of Dale.
