haven't worked for 11 months. now my 48000km service is due. dealership qouted me $780 for a bunch of things honestly I don't even know what he said. also said oil change, brake fluid change is another $250 on top of that. thanks for the video. I need it LOL
** Note ** the actual Air-Flow is DOWN, and with AFTER market filters (i.e. WalMart / AutoZone) the arrow points in the direction of the Air-FLOW. So if you buy a regular Fram or anything like AutoZone, you will need to install with filter Arrow pointing DOWN (bc airflow direction here is downward) ;)
Correction: The arrow needs to point down because the air is coming down into the cabin. My mechanic explained that to me. The one you took out was upside down, and now the new one is upside down, too.
I'm thinking about using this as a bullshit detector to see what a mechanic is gonna say when I ask them about Changing the filter and how much they'd want etc.
@@masta839 The big difference is that the OEM filter has "up" arrows and most aftermarket cabin air filters have "air flow" arrows and a high percentage of people do not have common sense and they assume that up arrows are the same as air flow but air flow is down not up.

Always look at your cars specific maint schedule log, dealers always throw in random crap that isn't needed at that point in time

This is the OEM Toyota/Lexus cabin air filter. You can purchase it at any Lexus or Toyota dealership.
I get mine at one of the 10,000,000 Walmarts, Auto Zone or O 'Reilly's

This is fine if you're replacing an OEM filter with a new OEM filter.
This should be fairly similar for non OEM filters if you use common sense and know how to work on cars
