I remember a quote from a former teammate of yours Mr. Avery "You do not get to talk to Mr. Sakic." - Brett Hull. Same applies here to Reevo. Marchand and Perry will both be remembered and likely inducted into the hall. Reaves is trying to stay relevant in a changing league and game and is finding out that he may not be able to hack it anymore.

This is as much Keefe's fault What needed to happen was he sends Reaves out the very next shift. Not one the soft AF top line. And it doesn't matter who Reaves lines up with. Its a " you took one of mine so I'm taking on of yours " message . not just to Boston but around the league. The culture in that dressing room needs to change and it starts with the head coach. Try Gruden he was in the bruins organization and probably won't take spit from anyone.

Avery's 100% right on this...somewhere along the way Ryan Reaves started to think he was somehow on par with Brad Marchand and Corey Perry...and he always has a ready made excuse for why he didn't stand up for his team or, worse yet, lost a fight (Arber Xhekaj) he was supposed to win...the guy has always been a clown and now people are starting to figure it out

Tough talk from one of the dirtiest players EVER in the NHL. However, he’s more than a little correct on his condemnation of Reaves. I was pissed at Marchand, who while a great player is also arguably the dirtiest player in the NHL today. I dearly wish that someone would get Marchand in the same way he has injured so many other players. He’s more than deserving and doesn’t have Chara there to protect him any more. Something radically wrong with the makeup of the Leafs…

Yeah I'm kind of over Reaves. His entire role is to be an enforcer, and he had a whole 2 periods to get out there and rough up Marchand but he never did. He's not gonna score a ton of points, but at least play your role and earn your paycheck. Anymore Reaves is nothing but a loudmouth. Funny how he didn't run his mouth ten years ago when every team had a heavyweight, he only runs his mouth now because he knows he has no competition.
Because this entire idea of him being able to deter cheap shots or retaliate isn’t based on anything other than bullshit. He is a useless cone. Nobody is afraid of him and opposing players love when he’s out there because they’re on a power play

I bought very expensive tickets to watch Reaves fight Tom Wilson when he was brought to the Rangers after Wilson/panarin fiasco. He had absolutely no intention of fighting Wilson. He is lazy thief who stole 900k from the Rangers. So Sean Avery you are 💯 right about everything you said ,as usual .
Easily the worst player of the hockey in the league. He’s actually on pace for -60 and 0 points for a full 82 games.

He's garbage at faceoffs, passing, shooting, tipping, forechecking, back checking, penalty killing, two way play, defensive play, etc. Was ok at hitting and fighting. What was he good at?

Great video, I totally agree. As a lifelong NHL fan of over 60 years ---- I predicted at the start of the season that Ryan Reaves would be a complete failure on the Leafs. Reaves is a minor league goon and that's all he is. He has minimal skills and his reputation is based on being a goon intimidator. He's getting older and he's on his way out. Leafs made a big mistake in signing him.

Ok, I didn’t see this game, so I just looked up the size difference between Liljegren & Marchand; Liljegren is 6’1”, 190 lbs. & Marchand is 5’9”, 176 lbs … is there some reason why Liljegren couldn’t stick up for himself against a much smaller guy, & instead needed a throwback goon like Reeves to fight his battles for him?! I know you said Liljegren is 1 of the more important defensemen for the Leafs, but the same goes for Marchand as a forward for the Bruins … & did I mention that Marchand is 5’9”?!
If Liljegren can’t muster the courage to throw down w a much smaller guy - like every other player has done when they had a problem w Marchand - I’d say he’s got much bigger concerns than Ryan Reeves can handle for him! Then again, this ridiculous pontification about needing protection from the smallest guy on the ice, is coming from the mouth of 1 of the biggest morons to ever make it to the NHL, & who’s playing days are best remembered for cheap shotting goalies, his off-season “modeling career” & the having the most disdained personality by every player league-wide.
