When Ubisoft dies they are gonna sell and the IPs belong to the new owner....enter tencent. They will bring it back. Creators killed this game. When they stop playing all their silos automatically quit too. Were a strong community and weve got their back.
ubi hamstrung xd by telling them to use the snowdrop engine , i cant see any dev picking the totally wrong engine that needs a rebuild to make a game and all the extra work that would entail all on a gamble that they can make it work. if they had used a fps engine they would have had more time to make stuff for the game instead of fire fighting game issues from the engine so we might have had a game that launched with more content at launch and we might still have a game going forwards , also not putting it on older systems was a bit of a fail as lets face it there is nothing in the game that older systems couldnt run even if they used a better fps engine it would still run on last gen systems with ease. also ubi with xd shutting down they are also shutting down 2 studios with the loss of 277 jobs and half the xd staff are being moved to other projects , this isnt a thing thats decided overnight and must have been planned weeks in advance , so that makes you wonder how long rubin has known about this and if he hasnt been included in these meetings about the future of xd that brings up more questions. also today i saw a level 1 player so im guessing its someone that has had it sat on their drive for a bit.
@@mikewright447 yeah it makes you think about the reports that came out previously and the fact that ubisoft is in turmoil and just cut there losses with XD. I dont think ubisoft deserve a game like this they dont want to make games for the players. I also think the hero shooter aspect didnt help it has been played out to death and a lot of players just dont like it. I got to be honest I would of really enjoyed the game a lot more without the abilities
@@DisStayn i understand that they will have had a red line and once the game crosses it thats it shut it down but there will i think meetings being held behind the scenes as to what they will do when / if they shut it down and we may never know if rubin was party to these meetings or not as lead dev etc , as lets face it even with his fancy title he is just an employee , also with the fact that they have announced this before s3 has even dropped makes me think that they didnt have any confidence in s3 to turn things around and as the game got ever closer to that "red line" they have taken action and now they are saying that s3 has gone from a dec 18th release date (which imho was a stupid time to release it right before xmas ! , and hope there are no major issues) to a now "to be decided" so i wouldnt be surprised if they bin s3 as all the devs now know thay are being layed off or moved and 2 studios shut down , so who or how many will be left to fix any issues ?, and i wouldnt trust them when they say that we will still get s3 and the servers will stay up until june as it would make sense for them to bin s3 and they say there is no one or very few playing it now so lets pull the plug early.
@@kimmortensen6786 I do think that is true, I think people will say no sbmm is the reason the game failed. I think ubisoft is the reason and also the engine as well as lack of content
So sad to hear this. I’ll play til June and then I think I’m done with multiplayer FPSs

I dont see another game in there scene coming anytime soon so activision can push a toxic money grab unrivalled

I never going back to COD 🥱But its sad this game is dead. There will probably not be a FPS without SBMM again. R.I.P.
