Your reviews are always really good. The only thing I would ask you to add is length, width and depth of the earcups. I know that if an earcup is 1 inch in depth then my ears will touch the driver wall and that is incredibly uncomfortable for me. So having that information would be very helpful in a buying decision. Otherwise, your reviews are the best and very detailed, especially the audio quality of the drivers and microphone.
I just grabbed a pair of the H6Pros and am blown away with the sound. The TB Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max's I got for multiplat gaming have been having problems with inconsistent volume and connecting properly, so I decided to just go back to a good wired headset. Man.... Epos NAILED the sound on their headsets and the positional audio and clarity are ridiculous. I couldn't be happier and I think I'm just going to stick with them over a wireless set. This is my first Epos headset and I'm extremely impressed. Plus the green and gold I got are slick. 🙂
I been using the arctis 9x pro on my xsx and Sony pulse on the ps5 then I got the TB stealth 700 gen 2 Max and I feel like they just don’t get as loud as I want them. The pulse 3d were cracking loud but uncomfortable…. I want to try these but my pockets are hurting now lol. So I ordered Cooling gel ear cups for my pulse 3d…
@@briancokley249 On the 700 Max's, go to your custom eq when you get them connected, then move one of the sliders just slightly. The volume all of a sudden comes alive. I've been going back and forth with their support to give them as much info as I could so they can fix it, but they went radio silent for the last week or so. Here's hoping a firmware update fixes it. The H6 Pros still beat them in sound quality though. They're better than I expected.
@@briancokley249 An hour after I reply Turtle Beach put out an email to everyone. There's a firmware update that is supposed to fix Bluetooth and volume issues.
I just got this headset for christmas and its sounding amazing with your EQ settings! Also, I noticed that the simultaneous Bluetooth is working. I was playing music on my phone while watching your videos on PC and audio for both was working without any "crackling". Just wanted to point that out in case anyone is wondering. My guess is that they must have updated the software/firmware for this headset.
@@radosawroszewski2692 android. I have since returned the device. Tried upgrading the firmware per the app and it would not let me. I am now using the Audeze maxwell instead.
Maaaate, thank you for doing the exact section on Microphone settings i've been looking for. Reviews are solid on this headset everywhere, but everyone says how average the mic is, really wanted someone to convince me the software could make it good enough to justify ordering a set. Thanks from New Zealand.
I still have my Sennheiser PC 363D gaming headset after 7 years... It has to be one of THE BEST headsets I've ever owned, nothing in the market today even compares to such a God Tier headset.
Note: this headset is currently £70 off for Christmas 2022, with the Green/Gold version available from Currys, or Epos direct. If people have seen it previously, but thought the price too rich, now is your chance.
You are absolutely incredible! Because of this, I will be purchasing this headset and giving it a shot. Coming from a Virtuoso XT and no longer being able to get connection from the most recent ICUE updates and honestly....a bit of a subpar sound...these sound just right for me. Plus, I have nearly always used Sennheiser mics when performing so I know I'll be at home so to speak. Thanks again for this!
Did you purchase? I'm currently using the virtuoso, i dont have connections issues but issues with the headset itself. I replaced the cups with thicker and bigger ones because the original ones were very uncomfortable around the ears. After replacing the cups I now have an issue with the headband pressing down too hard on the top of my head and it becomes unbearable to wear after 30 minutes of use.
@@xxENDSxTHExROUND I did and then I returned them after using them for about 10 days. The signal would cut out frequently and the headband hurt my head much quicker than the other headset I was demoing them against. The other headset is the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro (2023 edition) and I LOVE them. Small sacrifice in sound to be sure, but MUCH more comfortable and no issues of signal cutting out thus far and I've used them on everything from Netflix to Fortnite and to listening back on to music I mixed. HIGHLY recommend them. Sadly with these EPOS H3PRO Hybrids...I think they were just released too soon and not tested for bugs/issues thoroughly enough. Unfortunately, Reddit will constantly back up this sentiment. I would recommend, at the end of the day, you stay away from these.
Man, I can't thank you enough for this review. I never tried an Epos headset (was a little hesitant to after their recent announcements) and I was looking for something light after my Audeze Maxwell experience. This thing feels great and has crisp audio right out of the box. Ended up setting it to the Music EQ in the software and I'm totally happy with it.
Very good and detailed review! I don't feel that your reviews are too long and there is no need to apologize. The length is justified by the amount of relevant information you provide within them. Too bad there is no wireless support for Xbox in this headset. By the way, does the H6PRO sound better than the H3PRO in wired mode (out-of-the-box)? I have considered purchasing H6PRO, but since it seems that a lot of companies are releasing new headsets at the moment, I haven't bitten the bullet yet. 😄
Thanks Anssi! In wired mode vs wired mode, the H6PRO closed back sounds better than the H3PRO Hybrid. They are both excellent however, and I was shocked how good the H3 sounded considering. I can't imaging anyone disliking the sound of either model, as they get so much of it right.
The struggle for the best headset for me is always a pain man lol. Just got a pair of Penrose’s because of the sound, but I really like my pair of portals and they are more convenient to use. I just don’t want to make the wrong choice, especially at the $300-500 mark.
Totally get you! When all the chaos of my move settles down I really plan on putting together some videos to help with things like this but I know is it’s unrealistic for me to try and get it done too soon. Check back once in a while and thanks for checking out the review.
great video. i watched through wat i was most interested in and will definitely finish your video. i just placed an order for these headsets. i'm coming off astro's for years. wired and wireless. astro is very cheap very poor build quality. however sound was good with an awful mic. now, this purchase was gonna be my second expensive brand since i've always used astro. i was contemplating on getting the steelseries nova pro, wired version. now i didn't want to spend another $300 even though my total on these EPOS did. i just wanted something with really good base but a good mic at the minimum. after watching a few videos, i realized the mic is terrible on the steelseries, plus the base from several people have stated it's very lacking and that's worrying at $250 or even the $350 wireless version. i also was intrigued by the dac for better sound and yes that cool digital screen almost had me. but i've only heard great things on this headset. I was gonna keep these till i get audizure headsets, but again those have been said to have an amazing sound but i've seen many photos from dozens of customers showing how easily damaged and cheap the build quality. I just might hold on to these for a long time if they're as good as i've heard. none the less thnx for the video and like others said, we can always skip if video is long. i did and will go back. good review. (ps5 headset)
Really appreciate that you made detailed review both on h3 hybrid and nova pro wireless, but I’m still struggling which should become my only headphones for traveling and extended time of pc gaming. My head is big and there were 2 of my old headphones broken caused by that. I agree there is no perfect headphones in the world, but 200-400 bucks are quite a decision.
I've got my Sennheiser PC373D since december 2017 and it's in need of replacement right now. Every now and then at random moments something glitches with the USB dongle and it makes all sounds super distorted and robotic, impossible to hear things properly. I never used the mic since I've got a boom arm and a Blue Yeti so I'm not in need of a gaming headset with mic. Now this EPOS H3PRO seems interesting! I love that you can remove the microphone, don't need that. I love that it has 7.1 surround. I know, some people swear by stereo but honestly stereo on the headsets I've had just sounds like crap in the games I play. With 7.1 on my PC373D I can easily solo Q my way to Diamond rank in Siege on PC, I can hear exact directions of sounds in all the games and it helps create a wide soundscape. So the fact that the H3PRO has 7.1 too is another plus in my books. It's lighter than my PC373D even though it has batteries in it for the wireless part, interesting! I just hope that the surround sound and sound quality in general is just as good, if not better, than my PC373D. It's hard to find a review of a headset/headphone that can clearly compare audio positioning and quality in competitive FPS shooters.. Mostly I see YTers just fire up a racing game and say "yeah it sounds amazing". Anyway, I think I'm going to buy this headset.
I own a few headphones like the DT 990 pro, corsair virtuoso se and my fav fidelio x2HR best all round headphones but for pure gaming these are the best gaming headphones. I will pickup another set before they gp away
"I'm not going to sit here and name drop the top 5 wireless gaming headsets out there..." Be a lot cooler if you did. But seriously though, never apologize for long reviews. If it's too long we can skip around. Rather have too much information than not enough. I feel like the next step with these wireless headsets is a decent wireless/bluetooth audio mixer. It's cool that it can connect both at the same time and switch over to an incoming phone call, but being able to adjust the volume of each independently would be awesome.
Maybe I've missed it in the playlist, are you planning to review the Corsair Virtuoso Wireless XT model by chance? And yet another great review, consistent and quality to boot!
Just got these was surprised with the audio quality. I use them on my break at work and as a gaming headset at home. Best of both worlds without terrible audio delay
As a user of the 670 I can say that the ear cushions are pourly made. They used to be stitched, but today they are glued. If you use them also on the couch and lie on them, the ear cushion will get damaged pretty fast.
I love your reviews. You don't just read the side of the box, or the script the company gives you. Thank you for doing good reviews. I'm curious how this compares to my GSP550.
@@District.24 I know this is an old video but surely it has to happen. There's a good discount on these in the EU at the moment and i'm finding it hard to resist buying them.
man your reviews are great and unbiased the only thing that's lacking is the sample sound quality which I think uses a special mic. Hope for your channel to grow and have some actual sample sound
Love your video ! Thanks for being so precise. I got the turtle gen 2 700 max fee days ago - I am not impressed by the overall sound …. Is this a better product ? I am looking at a great surround feeling, details and crisp… don’t really care if they cost more. Thanks
There is a way to stop the headset going into sleep mode on Windows. If you go into Control panel > Hardware and sound > Sound > Recording > Then select the headphones microphone > Listen and tick "Listen to this device". It will stop the headset from going to sleep, however it will play back your own voice when using the mic and it uses 1-5% of your CPU. JBL quantum headsets have the same issue and this works for them, so I assume it will work for this headset.
Had this headset since a couple of years, i'm looking at upgrading... I can't see another headset would be better and have the same functions as this, there always seems to be a compromise on other headsets, not with the H3pro. I can wear this headset for 12 hours NO PROBLEM. The sound is amazing (for me, maybe not for audiophiles?). The active noise cancellation could be better, but together with the passive noisecancellation it does its job very very well. The dual connection is wonky, but I don't really use it.
Thanks a lot for the great and detailed review!, I would have loved to see the frequencies this headset works with, just like you mentioned when doing the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless review.
The other reviews mention that there is a setting in EPOS app to disable sleep. You can also find the setting in their manual: "epos-gaming-suite-faq.pdf"
Hej there from Germany! I've just recently came across your channel. It didn't take me long to subscribe and I've watched several videos already. As you can see, I am now coming across this one here. :) Quick question (if you still remember): I would want to use it on my PS5. Do changes in the audio and microphone EQ get saved in the headset itself? Please keep up the great work. Your channel really is educational, in-depth & very useful not just for the often times very exhausting searches for headsets. But also for answers to questions everyone stumbles over and no elaborate product site will give the answers to. Cheers, panic
I think a lot of people get hung up on "THE BEST SOUND!". I got came across a pair of cheap Audeze Penrose on sale last year and while the sound is very very good even when tweaking they felt a bit intense. Just picked up a pair of these Epos, the ease of use, the fact you can just put the mic up to get it out of the way when drinking or solo gaming (compared to the audeze one which is in the way unless you fully remove it) I prefer the Epos. The sound profile just fits my ears better for longer sessions. Obviously just a subjective feeling, but the EPOS H3 just feel more comfortable both in wearing and listening over a longer session, while still sounding amazing, so they get my vote.
Great video and review, do these also still keep the sound on when you put the volume wheel down like the H6Pro does? I want to change to these but if putting the volume scroller all the way down doesn't mute the audio then i won't bother.
I've just bought this and looking forward to trying them. My last pair was sennheiser game zero and I found them very cheap and the cups never really made a good seal for bass. They finally bit the dust after 7 years. The hinge point kept popping screws out and I had to replace the ear cups as the leather eventually fell apart. I tried to repair them one more time but broke the wire so thought sod it it's about time I bought a new set.
@@smashwindows8722 the sound and bass is amazing. Like having subs in your ears. They have an excellent seal and sound isolation in combination with noise cancelling. I love being able to take a call on my phone and have sound from my pc. The build quality is excellent. Negatives are via Bluetooth they seem to suffer from interference and cut out and crackle sometimes. I was only less than 5meters away from my phone and they would start randomly cutting in and out. Other than that I'm very pleased with them.
Hello! Have you had issues with the sidetone and microhpone quality on Windows 11? My H3Pro was working fine until a Windows 11 update this past weekend and now the sidetone is not working and people on Discord calls have said my mic quality is not what it used to be.
Hey man thanks for all the effort you do with these videos. I need your help. Which among all the wirless headsets you have tried is the best for bass music with decent mic quality?
Okay I love Epos/Sennheiser headsets and just recently picked up a PS5. I'm searching for a wireless headset to use with it. Using the HS80 currently but not really satisfied with them on console so I'm looking for a replacement. Are these simply plug and play on the PS5? If they have great out of the box sound then I honestly don't care about price.
They are just plug and play indeed! Check on Windows via the EPOS Gaming Suite software before you start playing on PS5 though in case it needs a firmware update. Once you've done that you'll be good to go. Another amazing sounding headset that requires no EQ and works well on PS5 is the Master & Dynamic MG20 headset. I'm honestly surprised my review didn't get more hits for those, because I think they flew under the radar for many. It's comfortable and the sound is awesome.
If I don't need chat mix or Bluetooth support, I like the sound on the EPOS more for every day listening, so I'd likely go to that. Nova has a little more detail and soundstage (seems more open/wide), but I'm not as big a fan of the comfort and weaker bass.
@@GadgetryTech Does the epos h6pro work wireless with xbox in the same way the nova pro does though? Maybe I missed it, but in this video I don't see that specifically mentioned anywhere that this headset works wirelessly with xbox via the usb dongle (which is a big deal as most xbox high end headsets used the proprietary wireless protocol for xbox which is awful for interference and connection stability in my experience). Many headsets say they "work" on xbox, but that only means via wired controller connection I currently own the nova pro xbox version and I really like it other than the earpads being warm and ear touching the driver, so just curious if there even is an alternative for something that sounds good and can connect wirelessly to all platforms (ps5, pc, switch, phone)
Unfortunately there is no EPOS headset that works wirelessly with Xbox right now. The new TurtleBeach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max works wirelessly with everything, as does the Audeze Penrose X!
26:10 can that specific sleep mode be turned off? I mean, I read that there is a setting to turn "sleep mode" off.. does that turn this pause play thing off aswell? Have you seen this option?
Serious question if you're ok to try it out. Do the earpads on the H6 pro fit on the H3 pro hybrid? I brought the H3 pro and I DEFINITELY should have added more weight on the big ears part on these.
This headset ticks all the boxes for me. ANC is a nice-to-have as well. When you work at home and have a headset on all day making calls from PC AND from Cell phone, I feel like simultaneous bluetooth is a must have. Flip to mute mic is also a must have as well as above average sound quality on the mic. Sound quality is always a must. These are looking like my next purchase.
@@funbro99 I returned it. Unusable. Great sound quality, some of the best bass I've ever heard in a headset let alone a gaming one, I wish it did go about 10% louder but I could live with it. The mic was subpar, about a 5/10. The features for bluetooth + wireless connectivity were awful. Constantly dropped one or the other, with weird clicking noises happening when swapping between the two. Overall it was extremely buggy software and I updated everything including firmware on the device. It was like EPOS gave up on supporting the product. I do not recommend this device at all. Go with Arctis nova pro if you want the real deal. As long as that headset fits comfortably you will be very happy.
@@drewmorg. I agree with and recognise your complaints. I returned my H3 Pro Hybrid and it was refunded rather than repaired. The detachable magnetic microphone stopped working after a year of careful use, making the built-in backup microphone the only usuable mic. It seemed like such a dream headset in the first weeks of use, build and audio quality being superb. But the rest started deteriorating fast. Shame.
Good Evening Joe, Thank you for the detailed review. It indeed helped especially " Any Delay?". That said, I was wondering if the issue still exists. Did EPOS send out a firmware update that resolved the 2-3 seconds latency issue or no luck? Thank you in advance.
Upgrading to wireless from my Arctis Pro + GameDAC (wired) & absolutely torn between these and the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. Any thoughts? Mostly for gaming & I like to listen fairly loud.
In the same boat. I love my Arctis Pro Wireless and it was expensive but it's falling apart sadly. Did you end up pulling the trigger? Would love to hear your thoughts! TY!
@@Falconite I bought both mate (except I went for wired Nova Pro due to common sense prevailing. I should know from working in music that wired are so much better than wireless & will be for many many years) . I bought the EPOS first & the mic was broken. Had to deal with EPOS directly for warranty. Would take a month to sort. Bought the wired Nova Pros as I needed something immediately - I'd done really good business wise that week & thought fuck it, as everyone was going on about the wired Arctics. Got the EPOS back and these new ones won't connect to the EPOS software!!! 🤦🤦🤦Im telling them not to bother sending me a 3rd and refund me or send me a top of the line wired product in the future. The wired Nova Pro are really good. Tried them next to my friends wireless Nova Pro and the difference is night and day - wired all day long!!! Oh and if you wanted EPOS because they work with multiple devices... the Nova Pros connect to the DAC with a regular headphone jack (unlike the old Acrtis Pros), so I just plug that straight into my Switch. I didn't need then for any other device but USB to Jack adapters are easy to find.
Hey Joe. I already have the closed back h6pro.which I love.Is the h3 pro more open and better sounding than the h6 with it being wireless instead of being wired Also I have tried to get the VZR Model one,but they can't be shipped to UK.gutted.Many thanks.Good luck with the move.
Hi Jason. The H6PRO has a slightly better soundstage and more power handling, but they are more dependent on your EQ of course, and what it's connected to. If you just need a wireless headset and you like your H6PRO sound (if you have a closed back) then you will still really enjoy the H3PRO hybrid.
I will attest to the earpads that they are PERFECT and I have big ears. Yes you will have to adjust real quick but it does encapsulate my large ears nicely. (I also have a large head lol)
Hello sir, What do you prefer most ? Im currently testing a TB 700 Gen 2 Max, tomorrow comes the H6Pro closed back, now i see this hahaha. Also want to thank u for ur reviews, ive ordered these 2 headsets because of your quality reviews. You got my sub !
I have found that Discord makes voices, even on wireless headsets, all sound really good. I wonder why that is. It's almost like the raw output going into these recording softwares for the videos on UA-cam destroy the sound quality of these wireless mics. I have found all of them to be pretty decent actually.
Great Reviews! I loved the details great work, does these connect to smart tv’s ? Am no gamer so its just for music, work online meeting’s and calls while riding bicycle. Keep up the good work!
Great review, I have had these headphones for quiet some time now. Unfortunately Have had a LOT of issues. The microphone starts crackling or makes me sound like a robot to others. At somepoint I could even hear myself from my mic in the sound from the headphones?! I have had 3 replacements from EPOSS in total, which is nice.. But every single one has had the same issue. Which makes you think?! Is there no other solution? do other people have this same issue? On reddit there is more people experiencing the same thing. IF anyone has a solution for this, please save me!!
I wanted a 2.4G wireless headset with sound quality and noise cancellation experience that was close to that of the WH-1000XM5. Unfortunately the WH-1000XM5 is a Bluetooth headset and the sound latency of playing games using Bluetooth is so high that I can't stand it at all. Should I go with the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, or the EPOS H3PRO Hybrid? 🥲😫
Sony has a more stable wireless connection. Both are comfortable. H9 has game to chat mix on PS5, EPOS does not. Epos has a better mic and sound quality.
Good review. I'm on the fence of a White-themed 2.4Ghz Wireless which this headset has that colour in. The other two I am looking at are the MG20 (would you say these have comparable quality to them?) and the Beoplay Portal Playstation (see a lot of the Xbox version being reviewed but little of the Playstation version which is said to be much better) because both have white versions and considered the best of all 2.4Ghz Wireless headphone/headset.
Damn that's difficult! I really enjoy all three. I think if I wanted a single headset that's also great as a headphone for travel, I'd go with the Portals (comfort and ANC is pretty great on them). For mixed use and some movie watching, the H3PRO Hybrid simply because the sub bass is just ridiculous, which is amazing for movies. The Portals simply don't have the deep bass. The MG20 to me me has good EQ if you always want it to sound lively. It's extremely comfortable and great to look at, the bass is really nice, mids are very clear, and the treble is just a bit emphasized which is good for certain things but may be too bright depending on what you listen to. I used the MG20s a lot when I worked on my review and really enjoyed them for movies, music, and all my PS5 gaming.
I know you said it has low latency but knowing the numbers help a lot when deciding. Do you have any stats in terms of latency when you connected using bluetooth?
5:50 Well, then that's false advertisement. The whole reason I'm looking at this headset is because their website specifically states you can listen to your PC and phone mixed together. Now, the first clause does say 'wired', however, the second makes it sound like it also works with the wireless dongle and bluetooth at the same time, *unless* you have iOS. " *iOS* devices will not mix " makes it sound like Android devices *will* . If that's not the case, that's highly misleading... "You can pair your headset with your smart phone for on-the-go use, or while you game at home to stay connected to the outside world. You can take a call or chat with your friends on a 3rd party app on your phone while gaming via the wired connections. With separate volume control over each stream, your conversation will be mixed in with the game audio. When you use the low-latency dongle to game, you can also pair up with your phone and have dual connections. iOS devices will not mix in calls with the dongle connection. Instead, the headset will route audio to your mobile device, and route it back again to game audio when call ends. "
If this is used on a PlayStation 5, are the graphic equaliser and mic settings saved to the headset, or are those features only available through Windows software? Great review, thanks 👍
@@LeFuzzyDunlop Yes, I did and no, the equaliser and mic settings *are not* saved to the headset for use when you use it on Console. I ordered a H3PRO Hybrid from Amazon and was extremely disappointed to find you only have the flat equaliser response through the headset and there's absolutely no way of changing it. I returned the headset for a full refund.
@@britishguy Thanks mate. You just saved me the hassle of returning them. I had another Epos a couple of years ago with the same flaw. You would’ve thought that they would’ve sorted out with the new stuff.
@@LeFuzzyDunlop You're welcome. Glad I saved you the hassle 🙂 I currently use 'Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum Wireless Gaming Headset' (I've had them about 5 years now) and you can save the equaliser settings to them. Before that, I had a pair of 'Turtle Beach Ear Force PX5's' and you could also save the graphic equaliser settings to those, too. A pair of H3PRO Hybrid headphones at £200+ which is only capable of a bland, flat equaliser response on console is pretty damn unforgivable! They will be great for a PC gamer, but console users are evidently way down the list of priorities.
When you increase the volume on console, do you have a tone indicator you've reached max? GSP 370 did not have that. I'm not sure if you've had a chance to test it on anything else than PC. Awesome review bud...as always.
In terms of pure sound quality the Penrose definitely sounds better. Overall features and the ease of adjusting controls is better on the Nova Pro though
Likely going to make a video on this believe it or not. Too much to explain but... Penrose, Nova Pro, Astro A50, TB 700 Gen 2 Max, Logitech G Pro X Wireless. I think the HS80, Barracuda Pro, and H3PRO Hybrid are honorable mentions (considering value, features, etc.).
I have tried sennheiser pc38x i got one off ebay open box it came with issues with one side being louder then other then once that was fixed the volume knob started to cut out a bit when you turned volume up even with headset and ps4 being all the way up it didnt seem that loud i ended up sending them back Would this headset be better i am looking for more bass so music sounds better while keeping the great gaming performance i want to hear footsteps in games but don't want any sharp hights i am bit sensitive to hights being somewhat sharp Music I listen to Electronic music like Dubstep Drum and bass Brostep Really anything in the electronic music family also listen to hip hop and rap Also listen to bit everything else like country and other sub genres of main ones
I like my H6PROs so much it's hard to pick the H3PRO over them unless I just need wireless support. For PC only use, I think the H3PRO is great because the tuning software is awesome. If you can deal with a wire, the H6PRO with GSX 300 bundle for $200 is a better value. On console, I would use the H6PRO there and plug into the controller.
I am debating between these and the H6pro to replace my wired jbl quantum 400 which keeps falling appart. I mostly use them for sim racing and listening to music.
@@GadgetryTech I've had my Sennheiser game zero headphones for 5+ years and I've loved them the entire time. Only had to replace the earpads once earlier this year. I really want to try a wireless headset just to see how I feel without wires. I think I'm going to give the H3 Pros a shot!
This headset would be perfect if not for it's bugginess. I've owned these since release and if you charge them overnight they stop working. If you let them sit for multiple hours they just randomly start working again but eventually fail to even power on again at random. I don't have a bad headset because I even opened a support ticket with EPOS support and they were able to reproduce this issue. That was 4 months ago and still no fix for this. I don't know if it's a firmware, software, or hardware issue but it still is not fixed and it still leaves the headset completely unusable for an entire day because it literally will not charge or power on at all.
@@martinfrisknielsen What part of "EPOS was able to reproduce the issue" did you not understand? It's also a huge issue if you check reddit posts about the headset.
Good news is EPOS is honoring the warranty and replacing it for free. I put in a request ticket a week ago and they sent me an email with the return label. Decent response and turn around time so far.
@@Drewsterman777 I bought the GSP 670 2 years ago, for a staggering €324. Microphone stopped working before the first year of warranty was over, then when I got the replacement pair, the earpads both were reduced to foam without leather before the first year of warranty was over. I've put in a request for the H3PRO Hybrid instead, since I did pay €324 for a headset that seemingly wasn't able to pass the first year of warranty without issues twice.

The H6 Pros still beat them in sound quality though. They're better than I expected.
@@briancokley249 im an older gamer, but idk why but i cant believe you need 2 diff headsets to play games on diff consoles. its crazy to me lol
My guess is that they must have updated the software/firmware for this headset.
are you using ios or android device?
@@radosawroszewski2692 android. I have since returned the device. Tried upgrading the firmware per the app and it would not let me. I am now using the Audeze maxwell instead.
Maaaate, thank you for doing the exact section on Microphone settings i've been looking for. Reviews are solid on this headset everywhere, but everyone says how average the mic is, really wanted someone to convince me the software could make it good enough to justify ordering a set. Thanks from New Zealand.
Great review, bought it because of it. Your eq is very good man. In WZ i can hear footsteps around me very clearly! The sound is very balanced.
How are these headphones fairing for you? Do they still work? I'm a bit reluctant to buying them because of the QC issues
Im wondering the same. Is it good in wz3 aswell?
how are these ? can you hear yourself? how is it for warzone now? how is the mic really ?
I still have my Sennheiser PC 363D gaming headset after 7 years... It has to be one of THE BEST headsets I've ever owned, nothing in the market today even compares to such a God Tier headset.
Thanks for the review! I decided to give it a shot because of you giving a lot of details. Appreciate it
Note: this headset is currently £70 off for Christmas 2022, with the Green/Gold version available from Currys, or Epos direct. If people have seen it previously, but thought the price too rich, now is your chance.
They are no longer 70£ im afraid 😢 they are 149£ now

@@ChristopherMcConnell Did you encounter a loud white noise while not playing audio on the Razer blackshark v2 pro's
Great review dude, much better than any other channel I've seen. Keep the detail, it's what matters.
Your reviews are the best, structured, clear, top! 👌

I agree there is no perfect headphones in the world, but 200-400 bucks are quite a decision.
this review was really good, and descriptive. amazing transparency, no noise cancelling review
"I'm not going to sit here and name drop the top 5 wireless gaming headsets out there..."
Be a lot cooler if you did.
The stealth 700 Gen 2 has separate volume mixers! But yeah lol I need to eventually make a big roundup.
my turtle beach px5 from like 2007 had a separate vol dial for bluetooth!
Maybe I've missed it in the playlist, are you planning to review the Corsair Virtuoso Wireless XT model by chance? And yet another great review, consistent and quality to boot!

As a user of the 670 I can say that the ear cushions are pourly made.
They used to be stitched, but today they are glued. If you use them also on the couch and lie on them, the ear cushion will get damaged pretty fast.

Thanks for this amazing review on this headset.
I use Equalizer APO with HESUVI addon. The Dolby Headphone DH-1 Studio HRIR makes this headphone sound sooooo good.
Thanks! I’ll eventually start posting some more videos on frequency response, tuning, etc. working on it!

Thank you sir for your honest opinion and long review
Thanks for review! And what about wireless distance?
Awesome review! What is your opinion between this EPOS H3PRO and Sony Inzone H9? For gaming, chat and general propose. Many thanks.
quality content and production, as always! if i buy these, they’ll be my 10th set of headphones in a year…. is that a problem?!
Great video and review, do these also still keep the sound on when you put the volume wheel down like the H6Pro does? I want to change to these but if putting the volume scroller all the way down doesn't mute the audio then i won't bother.
Great review! I'm so glad i found this channel!
So how are they? Any faults or complaints?
@@smashwindows8722 the sound and bass is amazing. Like having subs in your ears. They have an excellent seal and sound isolation in combination with noise cancelling. I love being able to take a call on my phone and have sound from my pc. The build quality is excellent. Negatives are via Bluetooth they seem to suffer from interference and cut out and crackle sometimes. I was only less than 5meters away from my phone and they would start randomly cutting in and out. Other than that I'm very pleased with them.
Thanks. Buying tomorrow. 😊

Great review as always
If you had to pick one, H3PRO or the new Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro which one would you choose?
If I don't need chat mix or Bluetooth support, I like the sound on the EPOS more for every day listening, so I'd likely go to that. Nova has a little more detail and soundstage (seems more open/wide), but I'm not as big a fan of the comfort and weaker bass.
@@GadgetryTech I wish they had H6PRO Wireless if they will it probably be their best-selling headset. Right now I have the GSP 670
Many headsets say they "work" on xbox, but that only means via wired controller connection
I currently own the nova pro xbox version and I really like it other than the earpads being warm and ear touching the driver, so just curious if there even is an alternative for something that sounds good and can connect wirelessly to all platforms (ps5, pc, switch, phone)
@@PantsaBear I think you meant H3PRO because there aren't wireless H6PRO right now sadly
Unfortunately there is no EPOS headset that works wirelessly with Xbox right now. The new TurtleBeach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max works wirelessly with everything, as does the Audeze Penrose X!
Awesome review, thank you for the details!
Is there a difference in sound quality when connected via wireless vs USB wired?
I love your reviews man. Keep it going.
Thanks. Wait until you see what’s coming :). New studio is almost done
Hey, is there a way to find out if the custom EQ settings and specifically the noise gate/noise cancellation would transfer to PS5?
I'm thinking of purchasing these headphones. Did the delay when resuming audio get fixed?
26:10 can that specific sleep mode be turned off?
I mean, I read that there is a setting to turn "sleep mode" off.. does that turn this pause play thing off aswell? Have you seen this option?
Serious question if you're ok to try it out. Do the earpads on the H6 pro fit on the H3 pro hybrid?
I brought the H3 pro and I DEFINITELY should have added more weight on the big ears part on these.
Two different sizes so no.
Which headset has the better sound quality? The Epos or the Nova Pro's (wired version)?
This headset ticks all the boxes for me. ANC is a nice-to-have as well. When you work at home and have a headset on all day making calls from PC AND from Cell phone, I feel like simultaneous bluetooth is a must have. Flip to mute mic is also a must have as well as above average sound quality on the mic. Sound quality is always a must. These are looking like my next purchase.
So how would you personally rate the headset after 4 months?
Shame.
Listening to a Gaming headset review with your old gaming headet feels like betrayel...

does the eq software have loudness equalization? and does it work for the h6pros
Good Evening Joe, Thank you for the detailed review. It indeed helped especially " Any Delay?". That said, I was wondering if the issue still exists. Did EPOS send out a firmware update that resolved the 2-3 seconds latency issue or no luck? Thank you in advance.

I have found that Discord makes voices, even on wireless headsets, all sound really good. I wonder why that is. It's almost like the raw output going into these recording softwares for the videos on UA-cam destroy the sound quality of these wireless mics. I have found all of them to be pretty decent actually.

Hi! Between this and the Audeze Mobius, witch one is better?
I wanted a 2.4G wireless headset with sound quality and noise cancellation experience that was close to that of the WH-1000XM5.
Unfortunately the WH-1000XM5 is a Bluetooth headset and the sound latency of playing games using Bluetooth is so high that I can't stand it at all.
Should I go with the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, or the EPOS H3PRO Hybrid?
🥲😫
Hi! How would the Epos H3Pro Hybrid compare to the SONY INZONE H9? They have a pretty similar feature set from what I've seen
I used the MG20s a lot when I worked on my review and really enjoyed them for movies, music, and all my PS5 gaming.
i wonder there is any way that i can apply ur tuned curve for the sound?
The audio delay you talk about, is it also there if you use the wire?
Did you ever find out if they do save to the headset?
@@britishguy It's quite silly. So many console users out there and not having basic features work for them is ridiculous!
I'm stuck between these and the h6 pro open .....do you prefer the open......or closed for gaming.. Sound Quality ?
H3 is great for being a wireless option, but I like the H6PRO open the most overall.
For sound only: Philips X2HR or these?
How does it perform with the PS5? With the sound profiles, do they only work when connected with PC or PS5 as well?
I want to know that too coz i am torn between this and the inzone h9

I know you said you wouldn’t name drop the top 5 wireless gaming headsets, but now I’m curious. What do you think they would be?
Likely going to make a video on this believe it or not. Too much to explain but... Penrose, Nova Pro, Astro A50, TB 700 Gen 2 Max, Logitech G Pro X Wireless. I think the HS80, Barracuda Pro, and H3PRO Hybrid are honorable mentions (considering value, features, etc.).
I have tried sennheiser pc38x i got one off ebay open box it came with issues with one side being louder then other then once that was fixed the volume knob started to cut out a bit when you turned volume up even with headset and ps4 being all the way up it didnt seem that loud i ended up sending them back
Would this headset be better i am looking for more bass so music sounds better while keeping the great gaming performance i want to hear footsteps in games but don't want any sharp hights i am bit sensitive to hights being somewhat sharp
Music I listen to
Electronic music like
Dubstep
Drum and bass
Brostep
Really anything in the electronic music family also listen to hip hop and rap
Also listen to bit everything else like country and other sub genres of main ones
Can you plug the head set in using USB and still have Bluetooth play at the same time...I know you said it works with aux cable
what will you choose personally, H3pro hybrid or H6pro and why?
I like my H6PROs so much it's hard to pick the H3PRO over them unless I just need wireless support. For PC only use, I think the H3PRO is great because the tuning software is awesome. If you can deal with a wire, the H6PRO with GSX 300 bundle for $200 is a better value. On console, I would use the H6PRO there and plug into the controller.
I am debating between these and the H6pro to replace my wired jbl quantum 400 which keeps falling appart. I mostly use them for sim racing and listening to music.
It really comes down if you want wireless or not! I love the pads on the closed back versions of each. They sound similar
I think you got a faulty pair, I have no such issues.
@@martinfrisknielsen What part of "EPOS was able to reproduce the issue" did you not understand? It's also a huge issue if you check reddit posts about the headset.
@@Drewsterman777 ok
Would this work with my 1st generation gsx 1000 ?
