I started my podcast in January of this year, while I'm happy with the growth so far, I'm really trying to find that "secret recipe" to grow even further. I'm hoping some of these tips will help me! Thank you Omar for all of your amazing content!
Thank you Omar for not gatekeeping the game! I made sure to write out key points from this vid. I’m hoping to implement some of your tips because my video podcast is currently growing and can’t wait to see where it takes me!
I started following your information off of the first clip I seen of you giving knowledge to help others grow there vision! God's teach others what they know to help them improve thier lives! I have been struggling with starting my podcast. I have the money for the equipment but lost in different of how to start... you have influenced me to make my leap of faith‼️👨🏿🏭📚⛓️
Alright, alright! You've been pounding this podcast drum for the last two years-between here and Think Media-loud and clear! I’ve always been on board and know how to set everything up, no problem there. But here's my one burning question: How do you get people to actually show up and chat with you when you're just starting out? I’m not feeling the virtual route. I also really want to avoid sounding like some cheesy game show host, which happens in my other videos. I’m aiming for casual conversations with purpose-that's where it's at. I love the value you're bringing with all this long-form content, especially how you chop it up to hook people. 🔥 You’re on fire, bro. In Him always, Chris.
You're the man, I would say flip the perspective Instead of "trying" to get people to show up, show up for the people. Create podcast/content around ideas and topics people already care about and eventually if you stick with it, you will get them to care about you!
Omar, big thank you. I followed you from Think Media and love the nuance in this new stuff you’ve been doing. It’s really opening up a new world for me and helped shift my podcast to another level. While we are still working and experimenting on what works, you’ve helped us develop a framework for success. And given us much to think about how the measure that success. Also you make podcasts look fun. 👌🏻
I’ve been podcasting since 2019 and just this year tried to take it more serious and man this thing is not easy. I love the challenge of it and I want it to grow it’s just harder than I thought 😅. Some ppl have a natural gift for this and others don’t. I’m not discouraged I just understand since this is not the main focus of it’ll take more patience and time. But essentially I gotta work on the one thing at a time. Master that and go from there! We got this 💪🏾
Thank you Omar for this episode. How are you able to get interviews, especially starting out as a podcaster? And you do not have a social media presence?
Two things: The more specific your podcast, the higher chance you can get guests - also, most of the guests i bring on people in my world don't know - so whether you have a guest or co-host, make it about the "idea" of the conversation more than the guest - let the guest add to the idea if that makes sense Use your podcast as a value add to a person - do the preparation, be a great interviewer, make it quality and get them the video file or clips they can post
Hey Omar & team! This was truly a great segment and informative with rich detailed explanations. Everything was broken down nicely and very thorough, so I really thank you for this because I am in the works of starting my own solo podcast now. Quick question: How does one copyright or trademark their own podcast? Should we do this before we even get started so we can protect the name and brand of our podcast? If you have any helpful tips, resources or any info. to help lead us in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much Omar & team: keep crushing it!!!!!
That’s a great question, I believe you should just start regardless and eventually go down the whole business setup and copyright stuff once you are getting real traction and bringing in income
Thanks for a great episode, Omar! Always delivers! I just started my podcast 3 month ago and have taken in mind every piece of advise you said in this video!
First off... I subscribed! Love this channel, And I'm on EPISODE 10 going into episode 11 of my podcast! My content is very intentional about real life experiences. My audience is growing. This was so helpful. Thank you!
Hey Omar and team, quick question! I started with an audio only podcast and started having the podcast feed to UA-cam through RSS so there's now video. Now, I'm recording a video podcast. Should I upload to UA-cam as the source and then feed the audio only version to my podcast host instead?
Don't do the RSS feed thing with UA-cam - it's kind of a gimmicky feature youtube tried to implement - but it won't perform well bc it's just a podcast image as a video Now that you are actually recording - you can just upload your video to youtube and then add it to your podcast playlist
Great episode! I'm trying to navigate the podcast/content creation space while dealing with ADHD. It's such a struggle, but I'm not giving up! Some days are just harder than others.

Any general strategy advice around doing it either way?
