- Welcome back to average guy tested. I’m on the road again - this trip brings me to Leland, North Carolina- where I picked up the Gillette SKINGUARD Sensitive disposable razors. I paired them up with a trail - size can of Barbasol sensitive foam to complete my travel shave. Enjoy and happy Spring!

MY PROBLEM WITH THESE RAZORS AND 4-6 DAY BEARD IS THAT, THESE RAZORS ARE NOT ENOUGH SHARP.

I wish they were available here in Poland (greetings from there!) as my favourite cartridge razor is the Skinguard Sensitive version. Very nice shave!

@@b.andrei84 yes, that's a kind of paradox but I've found them in an internet shop after some searching (no positive results) in the biggest regular shops with a variety of Gillette products

Hey tony I'm enjoying the leaf twig so far but the blades hardly cut the hairs would you suggest other blades to get at a later date
Yes - that’s the beauty of the DE game. I’d try a sample pack of DE blades from Amazon to see what works best for you.

Seems decent enough for daily/bidaily shavers. Would love if they made a refillable variant where you can just change the heads.
They do! Gillette has a skinguard razor with cartridges...... It's Awesome! You can find them just about anywhere.
Yes, they are available, seem to have much wider head, a bit slimy at the first 4 shaves so I don't use much cream/ gel/foam then but they last for 30 nice everyday shaves (all directions) at least in my case.

How does the skinguard compare to the Defender or the Schick Stubl Eraser
Better than Defender - comparable to the Stubble Eraser
I can still get the Gillette skin guard refills at target 🎯 and Walmart.

The Skinguard, even though it's the new kid on the block, is probably one of the safest AND most budget-friendly of the disposables. The Bic ones just take my face off, it's not even worth buying them to ahem, "save money". Good review!

Sir according to you which cartiage is best .mach 3 or mach 3 turbo .you have the experience so you can tell it .

@@averageguytested sir in your shave wars you said that mach 3 turbo have anti friction blades .so will there be advantage of this on mach 3 turbo cartriages than mach 3.
I’m African American and my Skin is sensitive and I get bumps after a few days off Derby blades and there some of the dullest on the market. I’m trying Treet black beauty tonight let’s see if that works.
I use Treet Black Beauty with aggressive razors as it is a very mild blade. When I used it matched with Merkur 42C which is my favourite mild razor I had some problems achieving a clean shave. Of course it just my opinion, yours can be different as some shavers had. Greetings from Poland!
Maybe you should try a sharper blade. I don’t know what it’s like to have a coily beard but maybe an electric razor that doesn’t cut at skin level would be better to prevent that?
@@bunjier4041 you are right there is only one on the market of black men and that’s the whal super close electric razor but mine have to be sent off to be fixed.
@@kraski4804 Markur 42C is mild? Have you tried Feather or Gillette Nacet there pretty sharp.
@@spanishfly7709 yes, Merkur 42C is very mild, and yes I tried it with Feathers, Gillette Super Thin, Gillette Nacet so the blades on an aggressive side and had great results. What I meant answering the posted comment was that the mild razor and dull blade combination doesn't work in my case. I use this Treet Black Beauty only in an aggressive Mühle R41 which is my blades' killer- the final use of every single blade is done with Mühle R41 with the exception to Treet Black Beauty line which goes directly to Mühle R41. Feathers and other aggressive blades are not the best choice to be combined with Mühle R41 at least in my case.

They are pretty new - I’ve only just started to see them in stores.
They've been in the UK and some parts of Europe for about a year, but they're rolling them out everywhere now.
