This is the best rendition I've heard, truly! Not rushed, simply beautiful, and with lots of feeling. Sometimes I find this piece too mechanical and without a lot of feeling, but this is sublime-

❤Thanks so much! You know exceptionally well how much pressure, speed etcetera to put in it, flowing so harmoniously, this is talent!. And thank you for sharing. I as an HSP with sensitive ears to music. You are a master and you delivered art.❤
@@cellokid5104 this girl is only 15years old when she played this piece. Now never be the same with him but it is certain that she will be one of the great cellists and in the future...who knows!!
I wonder who teaches them to play these tasteless rubatos instead of focusing on phrasing and dynamics. Why do they copy Casals instead of copying Rostropovich... ?
it is to preserve the traditional baroque style. most of what we know today as part of the classical style existed way after bach died. stretching times, vibrato, even the bows we use is all stuff that came after the fact. plus, its imperative you learn how to master things like this before you could even think about phrasing
I have more issues with the Bowing, But what she’s doing is consistent and I understand it. We do not have to agree with an approach to be able to understand it and to accept it. Interesting fingerings in the suspension chain
some constructive criticism: I like the phrasing and tone quality, but it needs more tied and slurred bowing. and don't forget dynamics... I know Bach is interpretive but there are too many separate notes
A nearly word-for-word parroting of a comment you posted on Inbal Segev's superb performance of this piece last year. Are you a robot?... sure seems like it. There are always one or two trolls in every group. And I suppose that if I were to view every video here by Any cellist including Yo Yo Ma, I would find an identical comment, right? And why do I detect the aroma of horse manure around here, as I did when you commented on Inbal's recording?

Absolutely superb! My favourite rendition of this incredible piece ☺️
This one is very very beautiful. But I like the one from Janos Starker even more. I can only recommend giving it a listen

Much more than a well trained Asian kid ... an inspired Artist!
Did you know Pablo Casals performed the piece 20 years he found it. All the 20 years practicing

I don’t think the rubato is over done, can you explain why this is a problem?

Another well trained Asian kid.
Amy Collins Are you rasist?
@@yoonhichoi309 oh stop. Saying she’s another well-trained Asian kid is merely awareness that most Asian kids play instruments and play well.
