Gregory copies Osprey back System with the velcro which is a bad non stable back system . The most stable Backpacks are Deuter backpacks . They use internal bladder compartment which is best to keep water cool . The shoulder straps are connected directly to the backpack and not to a flimsy velcro .
The most stable backpack is a backpack that fits my body. I can’t find any information on the hip circumference on Deuter backpacks and my anatomy (short torso, large bust, wide hips, long legs) doesn’t sound particularly well suited for the regular and EL fits. I’d rather have a pack that fits my hips and bust with a less stable back system than a more stable system that doesn’t fit the rest of my body or can’t go around my hips without significant after market user modification
