Time to move the highland cattle from their summer grazing to their winter field. Three ring feeders ready for the end of December. #highlandcow #cow #madmikesworld #cattle
Loved the insight into your farming life! Couldn't help smiling at them walking through the thick mud - some gingerly walked through it like I do - and I thought it was just me that did it! I wished I felt as comfortable walking through a herd of cattle though. Thanks again.
They all have their own personalities like big dogs but a lot bigger than a big dog lol. I’ve known them all for many years and they’ve known me which certainly helps. Leah who came through the gate first used to sleep next to me in the field when she was a calf.
They come when they're called!! Well, eventually, 😅And loved the idea of giddy cows, getting over-excited at the change of scene 😆Absolutely beautiful creatures.
Great to see the farm and your well behaved highland cattle. It reminded me of a walk many years ago when crossing a field on a path when I was chased heart heartedly by a bull, who didn't like me....
They can be buggers I admit but general most cows, bulls are not an issue. There are types that cannot be put on footpaths due to there aggressive nature.
lol the one that stood in the doorway, and the other cows are like "They wont mooooove!" They are so gorgeous, its like they live in a fairy tale such beautiful scenery. Love the red cow at 7:43 calling for his friend to hurry up. Thank you for sharing this video is a joy
I doubt it as their horns are part of their look when showing. Male horns should be thick and face slightly down. If a cow has horns like that they are noted as being too bullish. A cows horns should face up, slim and be balanced.
Borgnine is talented American actor who starred in movies like Emperor of the North, Dirty Dozen, Marty. Its funny hearing Ernest talk with a thick, Scottish accent.
Was thinking of geting few cows but id fall in love with them and couldent eat them like my dad grew up on big dairy and has hard time eating beef and wont tuch veal he will eat a hanberger or some sosage or beef spegetti but he isent big on it wont eat a steak or any beef not ground or with bones from being around them he became fond of cows i sopose it be like me eating dog
Beautiful farm and lovely animals, so nice to see them all living peacefully on the land with the beautiful sky.
Thank you, and everyone will stay to enjoy I hope their long lives.
Nothing better than seeing happy cows…or any happy animals.. I love Highland cows. Thanks for sharing this video. ♥️🐮
My pleasure. Hope you are seeing the other farm videos. Please share
Your cows are beautiful, mud and all. 💞
In all their muddy glory
Cows are my favorite animals and Highlands are just beautiful.
Great content! Loved watching you move the cows. More like this please
Not a problem. I’ll be back on the farm in a weeks time once I’ve finished this 300 mile walk.
Highland cows seem so neat, and the babies are so cute.
They certainly are so cute. The white one in the picture is called April, born in April 😃

@@madmikesworld5713That is wonderful.

Yes they come when called which if I’m honest doesn’t always happen especially when the vet is around 😁. As a rule they do and they know their names.

They are just beautiful!!! 😍 It was so lovely to see them all following you as you called them ❤️
They are like children, they’ll do as they are told if they know something is good about to happen 🤣
I'd love to see more videos on your Highland Cows...they are such a wonderful creation to be mesmerized by 🥺
There will be more coming after Christmas but I hope you’ve enjoyed the few I’ve already posted.

Love the cows but I really admire your dry stone dykes , they are like a work of art and a skill sadly disappearing now
I’ve actually made a little video on my walls that I’ll sort out soon. So many styles, from seriously old to my efforts 😁
Mario Hallo ich
@@marionewger4138 hello Mario
where is the pasture located? i wonder
On the Yorkshire, Lancashire border.
The Highlands are an interesting breed. I wonder if they'll develop a polled strain like Herefords and Shorthorns?

Grass puppies!
Lol yes
Que animales tan hermosos ❤️❤️
Gracias
You only need 1 good Cow and the rest will follow 👍
4:42 they’re actually saying: “Hello” from here😂
They certainly have their own characters
He looks like actor, Ernest Borgnine.
I’ll take that as a compliment 🤣
Borgnine is talented American actor who starred in movies like Emperor of the North, Dirty Dozen, Marty. Its funny hearing Ernest talk with a thick, Scottish accent.
@@gregtrent3335 yes I’ve watched him in many movies 🎥 😄 but it’s a thick Yorkshire accent but you are not the first to ask am I Scottish 🤣
How do you get the older ones in a head gate or chute to work them with those horns? Is there a special gate?
Yes I use a Highland crush that has a wide neck yolk. When it’s feet time the trimmer has a side yolk.
I’ll post a video up this weekend to show you.
Thank you, Good Sir!
Sãos muito lindos 🥰🥰
sim são lindos
Cows don’t like me 😔 😂 , think they know I’m scared of them
Lol they can sense that somebody is nervous, horses are the same.
So wunderbar diese Rasse ,ich hoffe das Sie lang leben 🐃🦬❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I understand why people who work with farm animals will not eat them as I have a few that will live out their days on the farm.
Weird how their eyes glow like the devil though
👁️👁️ 👀
