Green Mountain Thousand Trails Campground

- It may not be the best campground but the views are hard to beat
here at Thousand Trails Green Mountain.
Some spots are tight, the bathhouses are terrible, but the mountain
views, hiking trails, lakes and creeks make this Thousand Trails still
a contender.
Green Mountain Thousand Trails is near Lenoir North Carolina in the Smoky Mountains.
You will not receive cell signal at this park and will likely have to
pay for the wifi that is setup at the park. It's not the best wifi, but
it was good enough for me to work my remote job. Starlink is an option, depending
on which camping section you find a spot.

This Thousand Trails probably had the most authentic "Camping" feel to it, which is why I loved it.

It’s definitely a beautiful park. Great drone footage. Boy did I get a workout during our stay. Walking from the bottom to the top.
Green Mountain was such a long park. I loved going on walks there.

Fantastic Video David, great drone footage. We really enjoyed both times we stayed at Green Mountain. Looks like you picked a great time to be there, the fall leaves are beautiful. The park is open year round, but we were told only folks with annual sites could use the park from Nov-March. Both times we were there was in Oct. Safe travels Mullens Family!

Very cool you got to hang out with friends and family. It really looks like a pretty park. We hope to visit the Carolina’s soon. We haven’t been to them yet. Well one of them when we was in the Smokey’s years ago and was at the border. You know two states at once or something. Yeah I don’t even remember which Carolina it was lol. I probably have a physical photo somewhere. You know, from a film camera. Did I just show my age? Yikes 😂
We really enjoy western North Carolina, maybe more of the south part, but not so much the eastern part... Okay, I was just being a silly butt, LOL. We are loving the Appalachian mountain range, whether it's Georgia, Tennessee or North Carolina. While this Thousand Trails may not have been perfect, It was an amazing setting and there was so much around outside of the park we never even got to because we were so busy with people in our life. So we will get back there and take it all in.
