I've tried all these thing but my bugs are everywhere! my bedroom, the kitchen, the dinning room the kids bedrooms and my beetles/bugs can fly can flour beetles fly? I can't find a source of infestation. I just find a bug here and a bug there. I'm at a loss as to what to do with these little pests.
@athenasonlydaughter being totally honest, I do believe our kitchen being JUST above freezing in winter helped kill off a lot of the beetles along with the 2 sprays I bought from this company. This did get rid of the infestation in my kitchen along with tossing EVERYTHING that I had that could've been penetrated. BUT those pheromone traps didn't do much of anything for the beetles in the cupboards though they caught other crawlies outside the cupboards like spiders, flies, gnats, stink bugs, and a few bees.We have a small apartment and because we don't heat the kitchen & living room area in winter, I was finding beetles dead or dying all around the counter and floor of the kitchen BEFORE and after I purchased the sprays so I do believe the coldness helped. Ugh... I'm so happy they're gone!!!!!
@@KtEnns1 Hi... Yes ma'am, the ones I had could fly too... ugh.😩 JUST ASKING-👀Did you check all around those rooms for any food sources like dropped food crumbs, open or closed foods. You HAVE TO throw away ANY & ALL package foods that can be penetrated. They can eat through, cardboard, plastic wrap and thin aluminum packaging. I accepted old dry boxed goods from a community center that caused me to have to throw out ALL my open and unopened boxed goods. But they sell a special spray for the beetles that you should use in all your cupboards, wall baseboards, cracks and crevice. I'm Sorry, I hope this helps. 🙏🏿
@@ddee51-g2g2 yes, the bigger infestations seem to be on clean dishes or clean pots and pans. We did check my kids rooms for them because of the ants that suddenly appeared. I don't understand it's just I see the odd one in my bedroom and the odd one in the kids rooms here and there but the higher volume of them are on the clean dishes and the clean pots and pans in the clean cupboard. I have never seen them in my pantry. How I originally brought them home is a few years ago I had taken in some products from our local food bank and unfortunately the pancake masks was infested. So that's how they originally started and I got rid of that and saw station which was outside of my pantry and thought I did a really good job but this summer has been unusually hot and now I've noticed those little Efers fly. I sit at my computer at night when the kids go to bed and I see the odd one or two fly into the computer screen and land on it and I am so grossed out! They need to go like yesterday!! I did report them to the local food bank that I got them from but unfortunately that food bank burnt down afterwards. I basically haven't heard from them since. I'm in a much better situation now so I gratefully I no longer go to the food bank. Unless we are donating canned goods.

Did you try some fly tape, pheromone pads or even duct tape strips hanging throughout the house to catch the flyers? I chased 😄 down every one that I saw to kill 'em ! That pantry place was probably torched by an angry person who received infested food 😤.... I recently started prepping and I had to throw away a few hundred dollars in packaged foods & dried herbs. I WAS FURIOUS because I shouldn't have accepted food we didn't need -but I learned a good lesson! So I ordered 3 & 5 mil. mylar bags in 1-gallon & quart sizes with oxygen absorbers to store long term foods in buckets. AND for everyday cupboards foods I bought 2 types of inexpensive tight sealing food containers sets for all dry goods we use and de-box things I buy right away now. I container everything 😂Lady Katie.! I hope you find something that will help you eradicate those pesky buggers and relieve your stress. GOD's Blessings upon you and yours.🙏🏿🙏🏿

we just moved into an rental that has a flour beetle infestation. We’ve had pest control out twice and they’re still here. They are even in the microwave. Any idea how to get rid of them? All of the cabinets in the kitchen are empty, and we don’t use the microwave.
I'd put lemon juice in the microwave and cook it on high for eight minutes. As far as the pantry, there mist be something you are either not seeing that they are living and breeding in, or you have another species, I'm guessing. Good luck.
This is similar to my situation. We moved into a rental and I see one beetle a day. They’re not in our cabinets though. They’re in the cracks in the floors and I keep finding them on the carpet.
Our infestation was so bad, we literally had NOTHING in any of the cabinets or pantry. We ended up breaking our lease and moving out. No one was able to help us…
If in doubt, capture a couple beetles in a jar ( alive) and take them to local pest control. They should be able to confirm what you have and advise on how to prevent their return

Yes!! I don’t have many, but every time I find one in my pantry (never found it in the food, just in drawers or in other rooms than the kitchen) I wash everything that was in that pantry, which can be a lot. They smell so bad, the scent gets on the item its been around even. 😢 So when they come I can smell them and have to look to find where exactly they are, so they never get the chance to lay eggs. 🤢
