Well…it’s my belief that the best and most flawless one was from MSG on 7-29-73. Jim’s playing was different back then and that created a problem for him: to try and outdo the undoable. Know what I mean? I’ve found the ‘75 versions a little disjointed at times but this one in Seattle here is likely the best one from the tour. Like I said earlier it’s tough to upkeep this piece and I think they took it as far as they could by the Earls Ct. gigs. Here’s a question: if they had continued to tour had Robert not been in the car wreck, think Dazed would still be in the set? Man the one on 5-25 at Earls was sounding very tired and sluggish.
