Love the blue color! My father had a 505 diesel wagon here in the US. In fact he had to buy another when he couldn't get parts for the first one. A white one and a brown one, automatics. Where did you get your hat? I need one like that.
The Peugeot hat the club gave it to me the other two are faded. I always wanted a 504 GLD in this color. When I saw this one I bought it. When I was at school in the 1970's a farmer had a 404 diesel pickup (bakkie) in this blue color. Enjoy your car and have nice days.
What engine do you have in this one? We, as Peugeot family, never bought the 505's and onwards, since the build quality was not as good under SIGMA. These 505'snever came with diesel engines here in SA. Only 2.0 petrol in different states of tune.
Good day .In this one there is an XD 2 diesel . It's bored out to 95 mm . There is a video out with the math's done to get the compression ratio it has now.The compression ratio + - 24,858 : 1
The Sigma car wasn't good . Both my cars early 1980's cars I replaced the 2L petrol engines with diesel XD 2 engines from 504 models 1977 to 1980 . The engine in the 404 white pickup is an XD 3 diesel 505 imported engine . That one is nice .
@@charleserickson7503 Those XD2 engines were fantastic for their time and even still today. That time dad bought a new 504GLD in 1977, it performed much better than a 300D Merc, which was almost double the price. I will look for the 505D that you mentioned. Must say, the 404 bakkie sounds good with the later engine. Their starters were rubbish in the original 1.9D.
