The way most of the grinder companies make money is the areas that have band burning. Then, the grinding companies can charge out the ass to come in and grind the wood up, then sell the chips, and a lot of time they run the chips through a screen and have screened topsoil to sell. I worked for a site developer, and they had to hire someone to come in and grind all the stumps and tops. Took a couple of weeks of grinding for a 15-acre site.
Chris where my cousin lives it is forbidden to burn tree tops, brush and stumps. The loggers chip all that is not is not useable logs for pulp or lumber, as required by law of the state. She had the wind blow down a tree on her farm, and the saleable log went to the mill, and the brush was collected by the city and chipped and used for fuel to fire the boiler for the school. If you do have to burn you have to buy a permit and you can only burn after 5:00 PM, and day time burning is not allowed. The chips from the logger is used to power the power plant to generate electricity, and the carbon is scrubbed from the Flue gasses, and sequestered. While her home has a fireplace, she has to buy a yearly permit and there are requirements her fireplaces has to meet. From what she was telling me, a senator from her state is pushing the EPA to ban all open burning of brush, tree tops and stumps, and unusable timber, and mandate it must be burnt in a closed system to capture the carbon out of the flue gasses. If this happens it will change the way you clear land and dispose of the rubbish.

Well, hopefully you got the rest of those piles gone so, you can get going on the digging !! Great as always Chris !! Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !!!
I do love your Videos Chris! For myself I try and learn from what you are doing. Learning to Rake 101. For about 20Ft lower Rake to blade Depth then Stop backup and raise Rake 2" or so and go another 10- 15 Ft. Brilliant!! Rinse and repeat!!! It is almost like a Ruckus Rake. You know the one that was kinda broken? Best of luck welding it...BTW. For myself I would use a heavier gauged metal with the same ID for the Pin. I didn't see any old Rust on the break....so I am wondering IF there needs to be a Grease Fitting on the pin. Corrosion is your worse enemy...as you know.
At the end of the day Chris you have to do what's best for your company if something someone says in the comments isn't the most profitable you don't have to do it its your job do it how you want to.

That is a big change from the mud area where Komatsu got stuck to you pushing dust roots. Chris says there is no profit in wood chips - big fires please him more.
First, I am not an equip operator. When you are raking on the dozer, what prompts you to raise the rake, back up, lower the blade and push the pile forward? Why not just keep going forward?
Maybe you could make z reference work titled "Why I don't mulch, use a concrere pump for mud, use a suck truck, have a conveyor belt, have a drag line and all the rest of the repetitive questions. Chris and his uncle and grandfather have been doing this stuff for years and if there was a way to make a dollar they will be al, ovrr it. Chris said years ago thay they own all their equiptment outright so I think they have it figured out.
I find it interesting that the stumps are removed from each pond build. It seems that they would save quite a bit of money just leaving them. The small sticks would make their way to the dam and overflow. Everyday 10 minutes with an iron rake for a year and it's gone. More habitat equals more biodiversity which equals more fish. All the ponds I grew up fishing were that way. It's odd to see a pond with a few stumps and contour changes.

Seems like we really don't get those good soaker rains anymore, just blow-up !! Bam !!, 2-3 in. of rain.... jsmh !! I don't think I've seen any of your jobsites hold water like this one has, most of the time, you cut a ditch like you done here on this one and seems to get rid of a lot of the water, not this one, that place must have some pretty good springs out across there ?? Did you see that nice ass work truck down the hill there, when you was loading those logs ?? lolololol... Man, that's a good looking truck Chris, I love the color of that one !!
THANKS!
Have you ever tested corn oil as a fire starter fluid? We found this is cheaper to start a grill as well.
Love your videos. I enjoy watching them ❤
Nice video buddy i watch you every night lol or in the morning when you upload lol
Job well done 👍🏻
Stacking up brush for burning are the best videos 😂😂 Amazing! Fan from 🇲🇾
Thanks Chris 👌🍺🥇
Love a great burn video❤❤
Great video Chris😊
I TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHRIS 😊
Ignore the critics. 😉👍
He's been working this neck of the woods all his life...i'd bet Chris knows what's what. 🤔
Keep the burning going
Chris, I say do it your way, and if it ain't broke don't try to fix it !!
At the end of the day Chris you have to do what's best for your company if something someone says in the comments isn't the most profitable you don't have to do it its your job do it how you want to.
Battery powered Leaf Blower helps get a stubborn fire going .
Chris, how you liking the pilot controls on the new 220 compared to the older 220. Can you feel the electrical delay? I like it for an electric controlled machine. They did a 😂good with it as expected.
That is a big change from the mud area where Komatsu got stuck to you pushing dust roots. Chris says there is no profit in wood chips - big fires please him more.
Great video, just keep doing your thing.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Bravo 👏
Hahah. Get over it this how we are gone do it. Love it.
I guess that some people would like to see the sparks come out of a chipper when the rocks of a stump hit the blades!!!! lots of $$$$
Good job, From Lucky in candler NC
I find it interesting that the stumps are removed from each pond build. It seems that they would save quite a bit of money just leaving them. The small sticks would make their way to the dam and overflow. Everyday 10 minutes with an iron rake for a year and it's gone. More habitat equals more biodiversity which equals more fish. All the ponds I grew up fishing were that way. It's odd to see a pond with a few stumps and contour changes.
In some cases you could likely leave them, but if you don't know what is under them you could end up with a leaking pond.
@@Blazer02LS “could” - more like would leak! I’ve seen water chase a 1” tree root and totally ruin a pond damn. It’s simply cheap insurance to rid yourself of the possibility.
