The cows are sure liking that job, kind of a moo-ving experience. Your cows were also watching you when you were playing with Strawberry Cheesecake at home. Nice to have an audience that doesn't criticize your work. As for the turtle, he's just hoping you make it snappy!

Cattle will always ensure one has work to do especially when is comes to water storage. Rough job for sure. Yes, pretty and well maintained country.

That is when you need a whole lot of mats and build a wooden highway. Find an old pipeline that is complete and they often give them away for anyone who will haul them.

I had similar spectators on a recent project - a small herd of elk took a particular interest in what I was doing.
Looking up to the right from the soft spot at the fence, you can see it's actually at the bottom of a pretty wide natural swale, hence the soggy ground.

My guess is that the rain runs down into the pond creating some soggy nasty soil plus the cow crap adds to the softness
You know your in there when you drag the diffs on the haul truck in the mud.
When you said "...Off To A Rough Start" I thought 'Oh no!..What broke down now? Or did something slide off the damn and go swimming?' Nope.... 3/4 of the way through the video,...the truck decided to go slipping and a sliding like a kid with a snowboard at a ski slope! I bet the cows enjoyed the show.

Chris, good video! the last wet pond clean out I did was kinda like that. I have an old tandum dump truck that I use off road and the guy driving it got stuck so many times and even backed into the front of my service truck. Hell of a mess! 😀
If I had the money I would go get my own excavation machines like these and start a business a lot of money can be made in this kind of work. This guy is so skilled at his machine. Really inspiring!

Pump water to water troughs at least 50 ft from the pond.
Cattle especially will destroy a pond.
Cheap 12 v pump and solar system can keep a lot of cattle supplied with water.

Cows are curious. I’ve had more than a few bovine supervisors over the years, especially when fixing fences and working pastures. I’ve found them to be pretty friendly too.

The sounds of the 250 crushing stumps in the morning, music to my ears. Big John want's to use his body to take care of problems then Chris use's the excavator to take car of the issue.

The enormous satisfaction one gets when watching workers who know exactly what it is they are doing. I enjoy immensely your videos keep making them although it is I know the time it takes to edit and upload them that adds to your day but all the same just bloody brilliant.
you need wider tires for your dump truck , you should look at a tracked dumper with low ground pressure mud tracks if you ever get one for your self

I follow a couple who built a house out of shipping containers. It is in TX and has a nice (now) pond on it but it was so green you could've about walked across it on the algae. They installed an aerator on it and hooked it up to a solar panel and after a couple days, it was clear as can be. If your cows will be drinking this maybe you should do that too? But then I fell way behind on your videos so who knows, by now you may have figured it out yourself. lol Back to my binge watching. I only have 167 more to get to where you are now.
Looks like it's time to get one of those LD18 AMI rotating bucket setups for the 250 like you have on your personal machine. Would have been perfect for the front face of the dam.

I use sterile grass carp to keep the algae cleaned out of my pond.
Looking at that pond reminds of ghost busters it even has creatures lurking in the green plasma

So accustomed to watching the videos with the 220, which is a great machine....but that 250 is a beast
I would say look into getting a Volvo long boom arm for when you need it. They aren't too difficult to change out.
I'd also recommend a forestry cage on your Volvo.

They aren't being allowed to drink directly from the pond anymore. piping etc will be installed to fill troughs.. As stated in this video
