I saw this move back when it came out in 2014 but my god the "Hello ladies." moment from Taika still kills me with laughter to this day. The awkwardness after he says it really makes you go back to that moment of trying to be cool, but you knew you failed lol. This was absolute comedic genius all the way through. Not many comedies can hold the test of time to where you can go back and watch it over and over and still laugh as hard as you did the first time. Top comedic movies in my life for sure.
The real horror in this movie is the housing prices in the UK. Even after centuries, these poor guys still have to split the rent on their flat to make ends meet.
My first introduction to a Taika film which I’m so glad as it prepped me for his humor but then saw Boy and Wilderpeople that really shines a light on his heart and drama. Ragnarok is still my favorite Taika film as it has everything from his writing to epic badassery but I think Jojo Rabbit is His masterpiece so far
