Running a Countryman hybrid at the moment, basically an BMW X1. Great tech (BMW) and very well built, great for short trips here in the UK, lots of space and proper switches instead of all this haptic / touch nonsense. Pricy against cheaper Hyundai/Kia and 3 year warranty is mean, but the German way of squeezing you. Options list also is ridiculous. Saying that we went for a base spec.
I have a 2019 Mini Cooper Countryman PHEV. Two things: 1. you CAN open the trunk by passing your foot underneath, just like with the Volvo, 2. I've so far only tested by charging with a level 1 charger, but am surprised that the Mini can take that much power. Maybe they bumped it up, but I *believe* my 2019 can only take 3.7kw. I am surprised that there are no middle seat cupholders. My 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid has them!
The mini is so much cheaper in US and Canada; the hybrid mini in Canada for me starts at 47'000$. I believe the volvo is actually slightly cheaper with a price of 44'000$. (That may be the fact that most are built in US). I would love to own a Countryman hybrid; fun fact, Mini in general have become a lot more reliable after 2015, they have fixed 90% of engine issues and other problems with prior generation. Making them actually more reliable than BMW, (the company that owns them, if you didn't know).
Prefer the 'go cart'...mini more reliable as well, fun car ownership. Very pleasant review...thankyou

Making them actually more reliable than BMW, (the company that owns them, if you didn't know).
Regeneration isn't from friction its from electric motor working backward like 'dynamo' to generate electricity
