A mother is forgiven for leaving her baby if it is left in a safe place. Like a hospital or police station

Unfortunately in NYS now this is legal. In order to pass his disgusting late-term abortion law (which stinks too much of a woman throwing a full-term baby in the garbage - which used to be illegal), Gov. Cuomo had to remove all language related to aggravated abortion and self-induced abortion from the penal code for homicide - otherwise he would not have been able to pass his law. Now a woman who throws her baby away will be protected because the law now defends the mental health of the mother. Also if a pregnant woman is killed and her baby also dies in the process the perpetrator will only be charged with one count of murder (the mother's murder). And if a pregnant woman is assaulted - she survives but her baby dies, the perpetrator will only be charged with assault.

Maybe had a pregnancy which she didn't want anyone to know about! Maybe the mother was scared or had post natal depression etc. I had PND and it was the most awful thing I've had to endure! Some mothers suffer from Post Partum Psychosis, which is worse than PND (apparently). Mothers become psychotic and will murder their babies!
Post partum psychosis sounds like demon possession.

I understand where you are coming from, but here's my 2 cents: sometimes it is tough to decide on "like" or "dislike". Perhaps you like the action taken, but dislike the basic situation. Or maybe the reader meant one but hit the other in error. (Just today, I donated to a cause I believe in, BUT I goofed somehow. Shocked to see a thank you for 2 donations. 😖)

The mother was probably a scard teenagers, and may not of known she was pregnant, was afraid of her family finding out, or a foster kid that had no where else to go. i hope the mom okay and i hope the baby gets adopted by a good family.

I LOVE how she started she had help from God . She gave all the credit to God and that shows how well she was raised . I wish this little girl, her mom, and the baby all the best . My prayers go out to the mother of the child . I really hope she was found by someone who took her to the hospital to be seen to . I bet she was underage and scared .

Over 50 years ago, right after I got married, I became pregnant & was elated. I had a happy & healthy pregnancy and gave birth to a beautiful baby - I was so happy. However, in the hospital I became very depressed & did not want the baby, I wanted to give the baby away but “thought who would want a newborn baby?” & I didn’t think my husband would agree. I tell you this because when your hormones are all over the place you don’t think rationally, maybe even a little crazy. My beautiful babies grew up, with advanced university degrees & with beautiful families - so do not be quick to judge a brand new mother bizarre behaviors.
