Me and husband were both watching this video and it really made us laugh......TY😂We about to make 30 together and im glad we haven't killed each yet lolz❤❤God bless all couples and keep going ya can do it!!🙏🙏❤❤😊☺️
45 year's and counting.. It has not always been easy. But with God's help 🙏 We lasted through ups and downs. Got married the year after highschool. Great kids, awesome grandkids. I feel truly blessed.. yes we have conflict, different ideas, opposite likes, but God helps us navigate it. We're now retired and we are building our retirement home, and living off grid. What a challenge, but what a adventure. My dream and his too. The simple life,no clutter. Praise God 🙏🙌 It's all about God & family 🙏
To my serious husband... you didn't have to frantically try to run around to fill a Christmas gift "obligation." All I was ever asking for was "The Gift of Time." (Hence listen to Bette Midler's song... the Gift of Love. )
Since i got “self-differentiated” and have dealt with most of my insecurities, i have been naturally unaffected by most negative comments toward me. I have been able without getting the “last word”. I am a woman.
Thank you. You couldn't put it better. I feel it always about him and doesn't listen to me, I can say I Love candycorn and he'll go out and not buy it and I'll ask him did you buy the candy and he respond am not a mind, reader. A million little things that he doesn't pay attention. 21 yrs of marriage. Selfish. On the other hand he Mention something and when I go out I remember and pick up the item because that's what ge wants. It's a 2 way street not a one way
Have you asked him in a straight forward manner to buy it for you? For example, "I like candy corn so when you see some at the shop will you buy some for me." I only ask because not everyone is attentive and observant. It isn't always selfishness it may just not be something they are good at. Think about some autistic people who battle to read people's emotions or read situations. God gave us different gifts. You got the gift of attentiveness. What gifts did your husband get? I am also attentive so I understand the longing for someone to be attentive back, but the best advice I got is if you want something from someone ask for it directly. Don't hint, don't hope they do it without you asking. I even sometimes tell my husband exactly what I want as a gift "I want xyz for Christmas." I also bring up our anniversary a few weeks before and we decide together what to do. I get what I want so I am happy and my husband gets to feel good about himself because he made me happy. I mean I am human so sometimes I secretly hope he'll randomly do something from time to time 😄
@@Cam-gz6wx thank you for sharing this gem. It goes against the grain of our female brains that have a preference for the romantic lover who reads the mind and knows what to do without being told. It’s not practical though because, like you said, we have different gifts and personalities. I’m learning too and embracing this way of being. I’ve noticed that I get what I ask for directly. For the most part that’s how it happens or the kids plan with him and they surprise me. God has a sense of humor for having put us together and this goes for many marriages. So, I can relate with both of you very much. Love is learning. Best wishes to all of us.
My daughter is 27 and I have helped her with so many things. She causes herself problems and then expects me to save her. I admit I was doing that but last year, we stopped talking in March and I blocked her and had no contact. In September of last year, she went through my son to reach me because she had been evicted and needed help. I told her no, I empathized but would not help her. So, she forced her way into my son's apartment and would not leave. I had to let my son move in with me to get away from her. I allowed her to stay at my house for a few days because she was supposed to be moving to Colorado. The day before she left, I sat her down and had a talk with her that ended with her throwing a table at me and then me and her had a physical fight. I blocked her and have not thought about her since. Yesterday her dad reached out to me saying could I unblock her because she needed me. I did (like a dummy) and she says she got fired from her job and has nowhere to go and no friends to help her. I don't want any parts of her, but I don't know how to tell her that. Sorry for the long comment.
In my church it is an eternal marriage. My husband will be my husband in the next life. It is a sealing for time and all eternity. Even death does not separate our union.
How does your church explain Matthew 22:30 "For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." ? Start with verse 24 to get the whole picture. :)
@@aesogoogleuser334she is Mormon. They believe that when the Bible says something is bound in earth it is bound in heaven. It’s not referring to marriage but they apply it.
I hate divorce yet had to get one after 5 yrs due to the fact he not only wouldn't stop cheating he was also mentally and emotionally and psychological and sexually abusive. I fought God for 2 yrs if u should or shouldn't divorce. He told me he found a new woman so I decided to divorce and let me tell you it hurt. I had a breakdown, a mini stroke, and the list goes on and on. I didn't want to live he had degraded me also so much. Now I'm scared of men altho I'd love to be loved as God intended.
God doesn't want you to be abused and cheated on. You had no choice. But now, forgive yourself for what you think you SHOULD have done and ALLOW GOD TO HEAL YOU! Don't let this destroy one more minute of your life. Good days are coming, in Jesus's Name!😊
That's your side...to be fair we need both sides please forgive me 🙏 but I've been through it before and it simply wasn't true.. sometimes people just want something to be true so bad that sell out on the lie... Not saying that you are lieing... Just I've been lied on. It's equally traumatic 😢😢😢😢

Man, I just discovered you! Love Listening to your messages!

Ouch!
So good. Praise to God, the Author of a beautiful marriage! Bless you
1,000% selfLESSness is the key to a loving and healthy marriage! It takes time and alot of practice to put our spouse first. I’ve seen it work!
I'm realizing wat an amazing husband I have more and more!!!! He's not perfect but he does everything he can for me. I don't deserve it.
Since i got “self-differentiated” and have dealt with most of my insecurities, i have been naturally unaffected by most negative comments toward me. I have been able without getting the “last word”. I am a woman.
Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus
Thank you for your message. I am another person who has been blessed. Thanks to your wise friend as well.
I drive my wife more crazy than she drives me. Excellent message.
That's probably most marriages, guys do stupid things LOL
Some of us wives don't have far to go to get there, lol!
Love the message
I love the way you mentioned pastor Rogers I loved pastor Adrian and miss his passionate teaching!
Only works if both are selfless orherwise over time you just get used and bitter
We are all responsible for all our own emotions. If someone else controls us, we have let them.
What an amazing message ❤❤
This illustration is great l can see this in both men and women mostly on the husband being selfish
Wow! So cool you guys are in Battle Creek!

What is your church? You didn’t state the name of your church that holds this belief…
