When my eldest son was born 38 years ago there was an article on the tv that said mums need to laugh with her children. There and then I decided to laugh with my children and let me tell you, 3 sons in 3 yrs were not easy, still I laughed a lot!! I was a fierce mum, but i laughed a lot. These boys were sometimes so funny!!! I love them. Today I am a grandmother and I laugh with my grandchildren .🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I have just suffered another anxiety attack because I an in a nursing home because I can no longer be independent due to my illness I've not been able to move and have to rely on others . I have a 56 year old daughter who could care less and I need to have this pastors book and I wish I could listen to him and his sermons everyday because it really helps. Thank you so much thank you so much thank you so much and thank you Jesus😢❤
I’m going to encourage you not to believe the lies that your daughter doesn’t care about your situation. I’ve been a geriatric caregiver for 20years and absolutely love my job. I’ve never had a problem being around and caring for other peoples parents however now that my own are becoming older I feel an emotional battle that I’ve never experienced in my life. It’s different when it’s your own mom or dad and I’ve been blessed with the tools. Some people don’t even know how to be supportive during this time. Praying for you, your daughter and the restoration of the mother and daughter relationship
Praying for Father's Assurance, Safety and Hope... may He meet you right where you are and Love His Daughter with His Presence. And yes, laugh outloud!
Randy Schiefer gives his heaven testimony in the program Coming Home here in YT. There are other 5 or 6 stories more in that channel, I'm sure that will warm your heart
My kids are all grown now. Being a single mom I miss my children being home. They all live in different areas and so far away. Every once in a while one of my oldest daughters reminds me of the things they did to each other that I never know. I can laugh now but years ago I needed this . Today it’s so important for parents that are still together and single as i to laugh and not take those things so seriously. There is a time to laugh and to be serious. I needed this ! Thank you!
Focus on the Family has always brought me Bible based parental advice in raising my kids and in developing my relationship with my husband and helping me becone a continual woman after Gods own heart. Thank you does not seem to be adequate enough for the world of information I have gained from your ministry then and NOW. Gods continued blessings on your ministry.
Hello, Larena. We’re glad our ministry has been a special blessing to you. Knowing that the Lord has touched your life through our efforts is encouraging to us. Your kind feedback is appreciated. May God bless and guide your family in a loving way.
I think a lot of us Moms worry about these things because we dont want our babies to grow up and feel the pain we did. We are just trying to do better for our kiddos. But I totally agree we need to lighten up and laugh more 😊💞😂
Young mothers, listen to this man. Lighten up! Laugh out loud, there is nothing to regret about this advice. I say this, having gone through a very long hard, heavy season of life. I know this "lighten up" advice is the truth. Where ever you are in your life, lighten up, laugh, enjoy life, who you are, through the lense of Jesus Christ, the truth of the Bible, let those resources mould and direct you. That is all my prayer for myself.
Wow. The timing of this being suggested in my feed, and I’m rarely on UA-cam. Currently weaning my baby, who is 5 months old. Nursed my others until 1-2yrs old and have been so sad over it. Thank you so much for this. ❤
We're so glad this broadcast for moms encouraged you in a special way, friend. Thanks for your kind feedback. May God bless your family with His love and peace.
Hello, Maru. It’s obvious you care a great deal for your children, and we’re glad to have the chance to stand with you in prayer. Please be assured of our prayers for you, your son, and your daughter. If you’d like to talk with one of our counselors (at no cost to you), call 855-771-HELP (4357) weekdays between 6 A.M. and 8 P.M. (MT). Grace and peace to you.
I'm up to the formula part. What a crazy doctor, instead of offering advice, that's his reaction? What a mess.... Anywho, carry on... I needed this. "lighten up" made me burst into tears.
FOTF is delivering so much substance lately with the broadcast!! Love this progression. Another message = home run. This is what I've been waiting on to become more of a financial partner to the ministry.
Laughing with my 3 sons was always the one thing I always did! Without trying they were so funny and I still remember the funny things they did and say! My husband could only shake his head! I loved those days! Chatting with my 2 grandchildren, they make me laugh too! Only different… ha ha ha!🥳🤮🤮
Oh my gosh… Relate! 😂😂😂 Ted Cunningham is an awesome share seasoned with Scriptural refresher coursework thoughts 💭 Amen… don’t take Life so seriously. In a very difficult moment for my son yesterday due to loss of one of his dear friends, hours later I shared a text message with him how many people I reached out to asking for prayers and even our UPS driver who delivered his purchases is praying over him. That little light 💡 delivered a laughing 😂 emoji from my son. It’s Significant to remain light in Life by way of Laughter.. God’s goodness blessings in our everyday lives. Gracias 😂💝
I have always tried to keep laughter in my home, but over the past year I can't do it anymore. I struggle to laugh and I struggle to pray. I ask other people to pray for my son who is currently in prison and is scared for his safety, obviously making me feel paralyzed with fear. Add to that my other son just joined the Army in December. I feel like I am falling apart and my poor daughter is stuck living with me. Please pray for my family, I have lost the strength to get out of this dark place I am living in, but I am trying....
Thank you for sharing so openly, friend. When the fears and struggles you described assail you, remember that God loves you and it is His desire to help you find peace within yourself. The apostle Paul wrote these words in Philippians Chapter Four, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Know that we’ll be praying for you sons, asking for God’s safety and protection upon them. We’ll also be praying for you and your daughter. May the Lord surround you both with His love and care always. In addition, we encourage you to talk to one of our counselors. Just call 855-771-HELP (4357) weekdays between 6 A.M. and 8 P.M. (MT). God’s best to you!
Watching from Sydney Australia! I go to older English humour like Monty Python-theres always something for everyone! I love the irreverent having grown up in a fundamental church environment where much was taboo!
I hear of so many people saying how wonderful their home groups are… We put lots of time and care into the people that we spent time with in our most recent home group, for close to 3 years. but when life hit us and we didn’t show up to our group, we never got a call.,..And, when we didn’t show up after many weeks we still never got a call. It wasn’t until a half a year later that I got a text from someone and said “hey, how are you doing?” I couldn’t believe it; It was too late at that point. How does something like that happen? It’s just so painful to always hear how all these people are so well cared for in their own personal life groups…But, I don’t want to begrudge a blessing that somebody else has, that we have yet to experience.
@@andreamcintyre9952 and the “not taking our stuff to the group” wasn’t intentional; we got hit hard and were overwhelmed. But, when you don’t have anyone bother to check and wonder what is going on…it’s not ok. That would/should be the rest of the groups responsibility to see why we’re missing. That’s what I would (and always)have done with people. People need to know they matter.
Please pray for reconciliation and reconnection between my 16 yr old daughter and me. That she will start calling me mom again and that she would reach out to me. I so long to hug her and hold her tight again. There is so much trauma here.
My mom I couldn't call for mother's day. Made it to 97 a year more than her mom or grandmother. 92 more than her big brother . I'm so glad I told her one time, mom your the best mom I ever had. Ya mean it she responded. We didn't get to have that bible study about the book of Revelation. Really miss her looking forward to heaven getting to know so many I love. Throw a baseball with grandpa and dad and others . Things we never did but need to. Thank you Jesus really no thank you Saviour.
I remember when my brother was faking laughter. I thought that was so weird. I said you're faking laughing? I really regretted saying that to him. I don't know if he laughed much after that.
I remember when Focus on the Family, said you shouldn't advise your child to fight back with a bully. I remember when that got overturned, and we were told to tell our kids to fight back. My son's bully was twice as big as him. I think it depends on the children.
I look for things to make me laugh each day. This and hugs gets me through life.
You are under no obligation to explain or defend your choices.
Love it. ♥️

He makes great points, using laughter.
Need one for dads and singles. 😊
This can be applied to dads and singles.....don't have to have a separate video for everyone.
