Ease allowance can be added as different stages of the garment construction. That is body measurements stage, calculation stage or the drafting stage. In this particular video I added it when I was calculating the measurement so they were already in the measurement I was using in the drafting
The decision to use dart is influenced by the fabric you’re using, the design/style in mind etc . Darts are mainly use to manipulate the fabric into a shape that will fit the body contour by removing unwanted fullness at the edge of the pattern. Darts are also used to create designs styles. Stretchy fabrics don’t necessarily need darts, but dart can still be introduced to create designs styles. So you introduce darts based on the fabric and or the design in mind.
