The Van Hagar era was special "live." I almost feel it's a disservice to the band not doing their live performances because the energy and synergy was unmatched! Great reaction as always!

Saw this tour in Dayton Oh. The keyboards at least weren't backing tracks. Fitz from Night Ranger was on this tour, you could see him just off stage playing .

@@andrealarocco4941 well, on the 5150 and 0U812 tours he played the keyboard and Sammy played guitar.

Very generally speaking, people used to be more patient, so music could unfold in a way that developed more tension and sense of drama. You really see that in the live Phil Collins version of In the Air Tonight, from France.

Got to do the official video. But it's good to hear the song before you do. Takes it to another level.
Although I did do the Van Halen worship(like most rockers)when they exploded on the scene in my HS days, I personally could not get past frontman David Lee Roth's resemblance to the band" Black Oak Arkansas" lead singer Jim Mangrum. Loved their music as well, but was so repulsed by Mangrum that it made me grossed out by Roth. Loved when Sammy took the reigns, as in this era of Van Halen. Hope I didn't piss off anyone.

You should check out the official video for this song. It's got a great message. Also, the singer, Sammy Hagar, gets a bad rap, but he brought a cool vibe to the band. By the way, Sammy was the lead singer of band you just reacted to, Montrose., Rock Candy kicks ASS.. Sammy can belt it OUT. May I suggest reacting with headphones, Dee would pick up the vocals more.
At First He Got A Bad Rap ( Sammy ) but It Worked and Very Well !! It Was Gary Cherone Who Really Got The Bad Rap !! Love Gary Cherone's Vocal's With Extreme ( The Band ) !! I Saw Them on The Van Halen 3 Tour and He Sang Both Dave and Sammy Tune's ( Which He Did Very Well ) I Was Hoping It Would Work but Unfortunately it Didn't !! He's Still A Good Singer !!

I've loved Sammy Hagar since Montrose but I gotta say, when he was in Van Halen he wore some of the tackiest outfits ever. He looks like he came right out of Weird Al Yankovic's Tacky video. LOL
No hate on Alex. He’s a respected, and worthy drummer…..But, it must have been nice to play behind the best guitarist of his generation, and 2 awesome “frontmen”…..Just sayin’….
Van Halen died the day DLR left. But I'll give Van Hagar credit for this song, which is an all-timer.
