Firstly, thanks for mentioning Bear in the Big Blue House. There was so much charm and cozy feelings I had going into that house. 🥰 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse remains my favorite Playhouse Disney/Disney Junior show of all time, and most of that could be attributed to Toodles. Even before he got a face and a voice, there was this amazing vibe he gave whenever we called him. I even remember making paper cut-outs of him as a kid. And this is a thought I've maintained for a while, but I always like to think that Playhouse Disney/Disney Junior really nailed creating a trinity with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Sofia the First. The reason I say "trinity" is primarily because these three helped represent some iconic aspects of Disney's branding: the Pirates of Neverland, the Princesses, and Mickey himself. The popularity - and my love - for these three shouldn't undermine the success of other shows from the network, especially since I understand the justifiable critiques with Jake and Sofia, but these come into my brain when thinking of Disney Junior's most iconic shows, and MMC can be thanked for that.
One genuine critique: The sound mixing in the video gets waaaay off in various points. I'm not the only one to notice that right? You know, as I rewatch the show, and for anyone else who’s seen it, I start to notice that season 4 isn’t really the same as seasons 1-3. Season 1 was just classic. I don’t know how to describe it but it was just good for me in preschool. Season 2, I still had a good time regardless of the slight design change. The same with season 3, my opinion still remained the same. Season 4 was okay, I didn’t really mind Toodles with a face, probably because I was younger, but either than that, it was still a shrug 🤷🏾♂️ season for me. When season 4 came, that unfortunately was before Wayne Allwine (Mickey’s old voice actor) had passed away. Which is why you can notice Mickey’s obvious voice change in that season. Overall, I’m just so glad I grew up with this show, and I’m happy to have it in my childhood, and I know there are others out there who feel the same way. Thank you, Wayne Allwine, and thank you, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We’re always missing you, Russi Taylor. ❤
With this in mind, it makes sense as to why I tended to further distance myself from Disney as I grew older. By making the franchise for preschoolers, it'd essentially made me, already not interested in such shows, basically get away from Disney & go for Cartoon Network. Now that Cartoonito is a thing over here in the US & not just Europe... yeah, I'm glad I jumped onto the internet for shows more fit for my likings when it was still just CN & Adult Swim. Made even worse with how much SENSE it makes; I mean, really, Disney really became SYNONYMOUS as that kid friendly company despite having movies like Hunchback of Notre Dame, Lion King (the original) or Bolt. They had that image since at LEAST the '30s because of Silly Symphonies imitators not knowing what made those popular in the 1st place(except for Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies, but those 2 evolved into their own thing, becoming more on dark comedy, wild slapstick, etc.) & a fair bit of Disney's owners have been letting them keep that image when it comes to their animation(despite having Gravity Falls, The Owl House, Amphibia, Gargoyles, among others).
I am so glad you made this video. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was one of my favorite shows when I was young, and I enjoyed the heck out of each time I watched. And I still appreciate I today noe knowing that it's responsible for getting Mickey Mouse and his friends out of their dark ages and back to being culturally relevant.
What is amazing is how the show has sparked several spin-off shows…one of which is still going Only thing I’m not happy about is Daisy’s VA backing out…I know voices aren’t forever but growing up hearing a particular voice and then hearing someone completely different just bursts that magic bubble for me
I'm sure tress macneille only backed out of pre eschool media? She's still her main va in merch disneyalnd and other content like rudish shorts? Idk about 2.0 though..
I don't remember watching the episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with Boodles because I grew up during the almost-tail-end of the Playhouse Disney era of Disney Jr. and the VERY last year of Disney XD's Toon Disney era.
This show is every 2000s kids' introduction (including me) to Mickey Mouse which it saves the character from being fall into obscurity (Oh and without this show,we won't have Epic Mickey and the Chaotically great 2013 Mickey Mouse TV series)
I love your voice, you give off a soothing tone with a nice rasp that actually balances out in a fun way + the way you explain everything helps my autistic brain understand
I always thought that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was disrespectful to what the characters were in the past… but now I’m thinking about it it’s probably for the best… because Disney is too scared to have Mickey Mouse and friends being involved in edgy humor unlike the Looney Tunes… I do like how in the race episodes they try to go back to treating the characters like it’s one big cartoon then just an educational interactive show… but then when the Mickey’s Funhouse appeared… That’s when I kind of gave up
Something so surreal about this show is that the year prior to its debut, Mickey was wearing a black coat and fighting the embodiments of darkness itself with a giant key. Definitely not touching on preschool subjects.
Do you know what I think was the thing that truly made Mickey Mouse Clubhouse special and what got the mouse back on track? Toodles and the Mouseketools! No, I'm not just saying that because I'm a very huge Toodles fan. I've read the comments and noticed that fans were hooked on the show for Toodles' unpredictable entrances and what exactly the Mouseketools of the episode will be used for. Fans have made compilations of Toodles being called and have shown backlash to the follow-up series because Toodles was excluded. I mean, he cameoed a few times in Mixed-Up Adventures as Mickey's alarm clock but that's it. Fans have also been crossing their fingers and holding their breath that Toodles will return in the revival series. Whether as the plot device or with his adorable face, voice, and personality. Fans have made various fan art showing all these counterparts of Toodles and show that they want to know more about this mechanical helper and see his world get explored in more depth. Heck, some people even wanted a spinoff surrounding the mechanical helper even though Toodles only had 5 out of the 125 episodes with him as the central character. And his first centered episode was in the third season where he got his character growth. One of those episodes is, as of December 31, 2023, is even listed as one of the top-rated episodes of the show on IMDb. But if Toodles is and has gotten so popular over the years, why has Disney ignored him and not put him in any other media? Well...I have no idea. I guess because Toodles was made for Clubhouse, that's where the people at Disney believed he should be exclusive to. But the fans see otherwise. In Roadster Racers, why couldn't Toodles be an AI in the cars that assists everyone in the races? Or in Funhouse, why not make Toodles a friend of Funny and pop in every once in a while for a fun adventure? Fans wanted Toodles to come back as they saw him as much of the Disney family as Mickey and Minnie. As I've said, the fans are hoping for Toodles return. I'm hoping for Toodles' return. You get the idea! I want Disney to give us an answer and I hope it means we will be seeing Toodles in Clubhouse 2.0. With face and voice in tow!

What I noticed is that they seem to be continually expand the universe so to sell more toy. The first series Micky Mouse Clubhouse could only sell merch that is relating to only the clubhouse for the most part. The raceway one expand it to a whole town and later other country to make merch of. And now, fantasy make-believe worlds.
at least the 90's ATTEMPTED To keep mickey mouse relevant, i mean here we are a couple decades later and the only thing keeping mickey relevant nowadays are the kingdom hearts games
Honestly I feel like the retargeting of Pooh with The Book of Pooh helped this along, but most of all the preschooling of Mickey Mouse led to the same for the Muppets, Marvel, and Star Wars
I admit I appreciate the fact that not all the interactive parts doesn’t always have the characters stare at your so- I mean screen the way Dora does 😅
Honestly, as a Disney/Mickey fan, i thought the Clubhouse was THE WORST thing that happened to Mickey. Seriously, as a big kid that loved Mickey back in the days i felt betrayed when i saw him becoming a " Dora the Explorer" kind of show. For a while i couldn't even say i liked Mickey Mouse without being bullied since it pretty much became synonymouse of "baby stuff". And i dont blame people who thought that since i hated babysh shows too... Thank god Paul Rudish did some justice to my boy!
It is interesting that in Europe Mickey Mouse is mostly synonymous with comic detective stories. As an example, the comic series "MM Mickey Mouse Mystery Magazine" and "Walt Disney Collection Mystère" were huge here.
For some odd reason ever since I was 4 and watched every single episode I have for some odd reason been waiting for the return of toodles Also Mickey mouse club house was truly amazing no other CGI pre school show (or any CGI show) can top it
I hope this series takes place in Hotdog hills. Ngl the clubhouse being in the middle of nowhere always felt… off to me. I don’t like Roadster racers but Hot dog hills was the best place to have for Mickey.
Last night I spoke with a friend, and I confessed how sad I was about my boyfriend leaving me, but right before the call my heart was strangely in another place. It felt warm, somehow. My thoughts have decided to return to the lover I fell in love with first, My 1st childhood cartoon crush, a familiar face when I was younger, Toodles from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Someone I always held dearly. Toodles was I felt always with me, he was like an imannagry friend. Growing up, I had barly any friends, and out of those few, Toodles was the only one who could understand me. We played togther alot and he wasnt just a friend. He was someone specail to me , someone who accually understood me, cared for me, loved me for who I was. He was always there for me as I aged as well, MMCH as brought tons of joy to me throughout my childhood ( Being that I was born in 2006 ), regarless of my age I coninited to watch it becuase not only because of Toodles, but also it keep me happy, it made me feel understood and safe. I watched it through elemtry, middle and now highschool. I am 17 years of age now, Ive gone through many tough times recently, a lot of friends of mine suddenly dissapeering of things they thought I did but never accually did. From the day of thanksgiving 2023, till today ( when I post this ), ive been feeling lonely, sad, scared, depressed, lost , and unstable. However I tried to watch south park for a bit to keep me happy and stable during this time of hopelessness for myself, old to discover my heart needs to heal and get lost in the colorful world of mmch one more. As that had kept me happy and feeing understood. From kindergarden till now I made myself a promise , a promise to make my dream come true and meet Toodles and give him a warm hug, a kiss, and to overall thank him for his contuniess love, care and help thoughout the years. From 6th grade till now , I plan on going into engieering so i can fufill this promise and do much more, I plan on building a real life replica of him as his technology facinates me and overall my promise i still want to keep. Iknow MMCH is aimed at a younger aduence, but I feel like its not only aimed at young kids, but it can be enjoyed by all audiences, unlike other shows for children, it has actually effort put into the writing and has amazing visuals and storytelling and even lore that older audience can get into and enjoy. There is lots of love and care put into this childhood show! All and all , I dearly loved him and I still do today. I have met many lovers but nobody understood me like Toodles did. After I met my mosr recent lover, things became rough, but I still secretly loved him. I had to push him off to the side as I know real life boyfriends always come 1st. I was younger, I planned to marry, Toodles . Toodles has always made me happy when i was sad, hes always been there. Hes always been a friend to me, someone specail. He never left me, he's always cared for me. He's always loved me.He understands me. But as seeing MMCH is getting a reboot and returning on my grad year, I like to think that Toodles has been real and has been looking out for me, like hes been taking care of me , and I want to take care of him too. Its like we are soulmates for this conqince, he was there when I was born and hes gonna be there when I turn into a full on adult. In conclusion I hope to fufill my promise and make my dreams come true. I hope my story was inpireing to you all as it took mutiple mintues to word and type out hahaha, but I hope mmch was also a gift to others out there , stay fresh and follow your dreams, Dreamers, belivers and lovers

I really dreamed. And yeah your right about the quest for the crystal mickey, but my brain maked it different and became a dream. But I don't know what your talking about super adventure
The mouseketools were definitely what I followed most of the show. From which tools got repeated or were new, the colored backgrounds (post S1 still gets to me) or the orders they were used in, it true made wonders woth my young brains wiring. I can agree with someone's opinion of S4 feeling more shruggish, maybe it was the season spanning 25 eps over 4 years compared to the previous 40 over 2, or a multitude of hour-long specials then, whatever it may be.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and that hot dog dance was a kind of serene animation when I was a kid despite I viewed it sometimes tho. 미키마우스 클럽하우스는 가끔 보긴 했지만 어렸을 때 잔잔한 애니메이션 같았어요.

I loved how it would constantly transform to meet the needs of the situation! (Also, I had no idea toodles ever got a voice, and it's Rob Paulson? Voice of Yakko and Pinky? Cool!)
I used to like it growing up. It wouldn't age very well by 2024 standards, but by 2006 standards it was pretty good. Although the animation quality could've used some work by the time the early-mid 2010s (the era Clubhouse ended in), it was doing fine nonetheless. It had one job, and by god it did it right, and to think that it was one of Disney's many money vacuuming schemes.

@@DC-qt8cb it’s one of the best videos I’ve ever seen
Someone is saying something positive about Mickey Mouse Clubhouse that isn't PhantomSttider? Hallelujah!
Oh yeah! I remember that video. Strider said that some people didn’t like the series but he did
I grew up watching this show on playhouse Disney and it was my introduction to Mickey and friends.
Mine too.
I thought season 4 was great because Toodles became a major character
This is my favorite Disney Junior show of all! It's also to gain Mickey Mouse's popularity, as he's been still gaining popularity always since 1928.
Same. I still remember when I first saw it at my aunt's
I remember watching this show a lot back when I was in preschool, this show was how I was introduced to Mickey Mouse. *And I loved it.*
The one two punch of this show followed by the mickey mouse shorts in 2013 was a genius plan to make Mickey Mouse a proper cultural icon again.
What is amazing is how the show has sparked several spin-off shows…one of which is still going
Only thing I’m not happy about is Daisy’s VA backing out…I know voices aren’t forever but growing up hearing a particular voice and then hearing someone completely different just bursts that magic bubble for me
I'm sure tress macneille only backed out of pre eschool media? She's still her main va in merch disneyalnd and other content like rudish shorts? Idk about 2.0 though..
Speaking of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse im super excited for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 2.0 it will be a laughing matter like the 1st series

Thanks! Great to hear that the formula is working for you!
I always thought that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was disrespectful to what the characters were in the past… but now I’m thinking about it it’s probably for the best… because Disney is too scared to have Mickey Mouse and friends being involved in edgy humor unlike the Looney Tunes… I do like how in the race episodes they try to go back to treating the characters like it’s one big cartoon then just an educational interactive show… but then when the Mickey’s Funhouse appeared… That’s when I kind of gave up
I mean, the Paul Rudish version of Mickey was full of (relatively) edgy humor.
Wow. Nice to know we're on the same page
Yeah, you have a point.

Something so surreal about this show is that the year prior to its debut, Mickey was wearing a black coat and fighting the embodiments of darkness itself with a giant key. Definitely not touching on preschool subjects.
"Say fellas. Did somebody mention the door to darkness?"
And there's also the time where Mickey fights off nightmare fueled blots that are running havoc in a world where forgotten characters live in
what a great episode i always wondered what happened after mickey mouse clubhouse. please bring back the outro clip it was the best!
Thanks! I'll have to figure out a way of including the old outro in a future video. Stay tuned!
as someone who STILL watches mickey mouse clubhouse and STILL enjoys it, i will be glad to see it coming back.
He probably moved on, we need a spinoff where we see where toodles is now

What I noticed is that they seem to be continually expand the universe so to sell more toy. The first series Micky Mouse Clubhouse could only sell merch that is relating to only the clubhouse for the most part. The raceway one expand it to a whole town and later other country to make merch of. And now, fantasy make-believe worlds.
I wish they’d give more attention to Mickey Mouse Works, Runaway Brain and House of Mouse. Those were way superior.

Bro is delusional
So... Wanna talk as to why?

Awww that’s actually so sweet 🥹 also im very glad that mmch isn’t exclusively for kids also also im very shocked to see that you were born on the year that the show premiered(2006) also i dont need to be rude but i noticed some spelling mistakes also i was also weirded out that you planned to marry him

I can agree with someone's opinion of S4 feeling more shruggish, maybe it was the season spanning 25 eps over 4 years compared to the previous 40 over 2, or a multitude of hour-long specials then, whatever it may be.

I was a little too old for the show by the time it came out (1997, so I was 9 by 2006), so I never watched it regularly. But, I do remember loving the design of the clubhouse itself.
