I’m building a gtm right now and my engine makes 1300 horsepower, and I can’t find a Transaxle that fits and can handle the power, what tranny did you use ?
Anyone have ballpark idea on cost to build a setup like that? Would it just be more financial efficient or advantageous to buy a production car, and do appropriate mod's to equal the performance?

if you already have a corvette, is the factory 5 a huge improvement or are you better off just putting turbos on the Vette and being happy? I mean realistically for someone who wont race it competitively
it's just about if you want to put in all the work of building a kit car and if you think you're reliable in that area, this car won't have as many amenities as a street car but it'll be faster and it's quality of construction is entirely up to you and your knowledge of cars, as just street cars the vette is obvi better.
The LS is the perfect motor,a low dollar truck LS engine with a single turbo [ 600 hp] ,with careful machine work and assembly is pretty much bullet proof, but you could use anything ,adapters ,custom mounts,+ $$$ Under perfect conditions at 2800 lbs your talking 10.20 at 145 mph in the 1/4 6.50 in the 1/8 mile really fast ,this guy claims 850 hp,at 2800 lbs,under perfect conditions 9.00 et at 165 mph,he short shifted it and it ran 10.70 at 141 mph.these are fast cars.
I came to see it launch. Pretty weak. The GTM is like a Ultima but American made instead. With 18x13 rims I don't see why it can't launch. It should pop a wheelie. 2800 pounds ouch nevermind. Ultima is 1800.

This car isn’t a replica of anything ! All manufacturers take ideas from one another PERIOD and if you think different your fucking crazy! Look at the 2020 corvette! If that doesn’t scream we jacked Ferrari then your blind as hell! I would rather have a gtm over a 2020 Corvette any day ! Everyone and there mother is in line for that vette hints, a dime a dozen! I love different and would never be a sheep!

It all depends on how long it takes to build boost...the turbo is all the way back
With a skilled and experienced driver it would run over 1 second faster.

This build looks like around $75k+.
$25k for the kit>
$15k-30k for the NRE engine.
$25k for the Ford GT transaxle.

A normal 2012 GTM runs 10.9@134..........So either you got some tuning to do, Or driver mod...
