I'm somewhat new to watching Mariano. Started watching here and there after seeing him on HCL. Is he like Brad Owen in that he started his vlogs grinding $2/5 NLH and worked his way up?
I too was here from the very begining. Now WE here. I remember when you lost your first teeth, how you would switch from cry to laughter in seconds whenever you would scrap your knee, your first date, your first 0.5/1 game with Gretchen, Jack and Bill. All the good stuff.
The very first time I saw you on that swing in the park, I knew you were destined for greatness. Such great balance, so much technique in how you would use both your feets and body to rock it back and forth. I could go on for days on how great you were and how I knew what it would translate to a few years later.

Every time you have 35 + % of equity it’s a good call and the pot odds are good you have 50% equity with that hero call so nice call and nice hand 💪🏼

Can someone explain to me a behavior that I have a hard time understanding watching videos of casino cashgames. I play tournaments and when the opponent bets and I call I don't say the hand I have but I wait for him to showdown so I can see his range and build my strategy. but I realize that in casinos, people already say what they have and if it's good, they don't even want to see the opponent's hand. why is this done? thanks.

Yes, it's rude. Yes, you're allowed to do it. No, it isn't important unless you're playing with the same players for dozens of hours. In livestream games they can just go look at the hands after the game.

Is Dentist Dave really a dentist?
Mariano's optimistic bluff and overplayed re-raises are the flaw in his game. If someone raises you then more than half the time they are going to continue you. Now you have them invested in the pot and you have a bad hand. Trying to get people to fold on a turn or flop re-raise, hoping to jam bluff the river is madness. All they need to do is hang in there with a made hand.

@@MarianoPoker If you know you're probably going to probably have to bluff to win the hand on the river then you can try to keep the pot size a bit lower and then your bluff will be a little cheaper on the river. Also you might get a nice scare card. I love the idea of re-raising a lot of middle strength hands because it will scare them from going hard on the river and give you more options. But re-raising the really weak hands before the river really puts you into a corner. But maybe you're just trying to make the stream more fun to watch. IDK I do enjoy watching though. Thanks for the video!
