So just an update I re greased that area and there is no longer an issue with it being stuck up

Thank you! This just happened with my 2018 sierra and the dealer wanted $600 to fix. It is usually up so this will work when we need it down.

If you spray some lubricant on it it should function just fine again

Spray some graphite or even apply some grease and it won't happen again
